      • 악성림프종 환자에서 복합화학요법으로 유발된 백혈구 감소증에 대한 인형 재조합 과립구 집락형성-촉진인자(rhG-CSF: Neutrogin)의 효과

        Clinical effects of rhG-CSF were investigated in 17 patients receiving chemotherapy for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Patients were given G-CSF 2㎍/㎏/day after 2nd cycle chemotherapy for least 14 consecutive days, and clinical and laboratory results were compared to results of the first cycle. Treatment with G-CSF resulted in increase of mean WBC count(952.9±152.2㎜³vs 1882.4±350.4/㎜³) and neutrophil count(212.9±53.0/㎜³vs 841.5±238.0/㎜³), reduced the duration of leukocytopenic days(12.4±1.3 days vs 5.5±1.0 days, WBC count less than 4000/㎜³) and neutropenic days(4.5±0.9 days vs 2.3±0.7 days, neutrophil count less than 500/㎜³), and reduced the duration of neutropenic fever(5.8±1.1 days vs 0.9±0.5 days). The side effects of G-CSF were not so significant. These results demonstrated that G-CSF is safe and useful for the treatment of neutropenia induced by anticancer chemotherapy of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and reducing the incidence of febrile periods and duration of antibiotic administration.

      • 새로운 Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors의 합성

        노인성 치매의 일종인 alzheimer's disease의 효과적인 억제제를 합성하기 위해 우리는 분자 모델링에 의한 가장 적합한 물질인 m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid를 합성하였다. 출발물질인 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate의 경우 boronic acid의 작용기인 hydroxyl group을 protecting시킴으로써 반응의 안정성을 기하였다. Quarternary ammonium salt는 과량의 methyliodide와 염기 촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시켜 상당히 높은 수율을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 과량의 methyliodide와 염기촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시킨 결과 boronic acid의 protection없이도 안정하게 반응이 진행되어짐을 확인할 수 있었다. In order to syntheisize a effective inhibotor for alzheimer's disease, we synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 which is designed by molecular modeling form. We protected the hydroxyl group of 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ethlyne glycol to remove the reactivity if hydroxyl group. To synthesize m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4, we reacted 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ezcess methyl iodide and potassium hydrogen carbonate as a base-catalyst in methanol. but On executed reaction without protection on hydroxyl group, we found out the result that the hydroxyl group of boronic acid group at 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 didn't react with excess methyliodide. Synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 is in progress about biological tests as a plausible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.

      • 性別 및 年齡에 따른 體格과 體力의 特性과 變化에 關한 縱斷的 硏究Ⅱ : Emphasised on College Men of Department of Physical Education 體育專功 大學生을 中心으로

        The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics, change in physique and physical function of college students majoring physical education and Taekwondo (454 males and 64 females of age groups ranging from 18 to 26). The results are as following: 1. The male group of 23yrs old in physical education showed highest values in 7 items(Weight, Chest Girth, Fore Arm Girth, Thigh Girth, Calf Girth, Scapular Skinfold Thickness and Suprailiac Skinfold Thickness). 2. In the Physical function, the male group of 18yrs old showed highest values in Power, Flexibility, and then 21yrs old at Back Strength, Vital Capacity, and 23yrs old at Grip Strength, and 25yrs old at Blood Pressure, respectively. 3. In the physique, the male group of 22yrs old showed highest values in Weight, Chest Girth, Thigh Girth, Calf Girth, and then 24yrs old Upper Arm Girth, Fore Arm Girth, and 19yrs old at Height, Upper Limb Length, respectively. 4. In Physical Function, the 22yrs old showed highest values in Back Strength, Vital Capacity, and then 23yrs old at Side Step, Trunk Extension, but 18yrs old showed lower Values in Grip Strength, Side Step, Vital Capacity and Blood Pressure. 5. The female group of 22yrs old showed highest values in 8 items(Height, Sitting Height, Waist Girth, Upper Limb Length, Lower Limb Length, Skinfold Thickness), and then 18yrs old at 5 items (Weight, Upper Arm Girth, Fore Arm Girth, Thigh Girth, Calf Girth), respectively. 6. In the physical function, the 22yrs old showed highest Values in Grip strength, Back Strength, Power, 5 Minute Run, and 18yrs old at flexibility, Harvard Step Test, respectively. 7. In the change of the physique for two years(1988-1989) in the male group, majoring Physical education the 22yrs old showed increase in 4 items, and the 20yrs old in 3 items, but 18yrs old showed decrease in 3 items. 8. In the change of the physical function for two years in the male group, the 20yrs old showed increase in 4 items, and the 21, 25, 26yrs old in 3 items, but the 19yrs old showed decrease in 6 items, and 18, 22 yrs old in 5 items, respectively. 9. The change of the physique for two years in all female group, of 18, 19, 20, 21yrs old showed increase in 11 items except Skinfold Thickness. 10. In the change of physical function for two years in female group, the 18yrs old showed increase in 3 items, and then 20yrs old in 5 items, but 19, 22yrs old decreased 12 items, respectively. 11. The highest significant difference in physique between male and female was found in weight(mean Value 17.5%), and the lowest difference was found Thigh Girth, Calf Girth(1,3%), Upper Limb Length, Lower Limb Length(2.5%). 12. The Highest difference in physical function was Strength (mean Value 40%), Vital Capacity (33%), Power(22%), but Lower Trunk Flexion, Foot Balance(3.4%). 13. In the difference of Physique and physical function between physical education major and taekwondo major, the physical education showed higher values in skinfold Thickines (mean Value 16.5%), Weight, Waist Girth(4.7%) and Strength(33%), Endurance(5.6%), but subjects majoring Taekwondo showed higher values in Flexibility and Foot Balance. 14. In all male groups, Waist Girth, Scapular Skinfold Thickness, Back Strength, Sargent Jump, Trunk Extension and Diastolic Blood Pressure were showed a significantly related at 0.001 level.

        LPCVD 공정중 웨이퍼의 온도장 해석

        In the LPCVD reactor the temperature variations within the wafer load are the most important factor to maintain the thickness of the materials deposited on the surface of the wafer constant and to affect the deformation of each wafer. In this study the temporal variations of radial and axial temperature nonuniformities of each wafer in the LPCVD reactor are numerically estimated by assuming diffuse reflection. To verify the validity of the present numerical results, the present results obtained from the transient analysis are compared with those of Badgwell's work in which a steady-state condition was assumed. The main objective of this work is to determine the temporal variations of the temperature of each wafer in the LPCVD process since the wafers experience severe change in temperature in the early stage of the process.

      • NaCrO<sub>2</sub> cathode for high-rate sodium-ion batteries

        <P>Sodium-ion batteries offer a potential alternative or complementary system to lithium-ion batteries, which are widely used in many applications. For this purpose, layered O3-type NaCrO<SUB>2</SUB> for use as a cathode material in sodium-ion batteries was synthesized <I>via</I> an emulsion-drying method. The produced NaCrO<SUB>2</SUB> was modified using pitch as a carbon source and the products were tested in half and full cells using a NaPF<SUB>6</SUB>-based non-aqueous electrolyte solution. The carbon-coated NaCrO<SUB>2</SUB> cathode material exhibits excellent capacity retention with superior rate capability up to a rate of 150 C (99 mA h (g oxide)<SUP>−1</SUP>), which corresponds to full discharge during 27 s. The surface conducting carbon layer plays a critically important role in the excellent performance of this cathode material. We confirmed the reaction process with sodium using X-ray diffraction and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. Thermal analysis using time-resolved X-ray diffraction also demonstrated the structural stability of carbon-coated Na<SUB>0.5</SUB>CrO<SUB>2</SUB>.         A severe blight disease of lily (Lilium spp.) caused by Botrytis elliptica was found in a vinyl house in Taejon for the first time in 1987. Initial symptom of the disease was brown spotting on leaves and stems of the plants. The spots gradually increased in size and coalesced to form bigger spots and blights on the leaves. Plants with severe damage became brown and sometimes died. In the inoculation experiments, the fungus was found to be pathogenic only to lily, but not to pepper, tomato, ginseng, onion and welth onion.

      • A case of patient with pulmonary thromboembolism undergoing cesarian resection treated with mechanical thrombectomy

        Introduction: Pulmonary thromboembolism(PTE) is known to be exogenous material that travels to the lungs through the pulmonary circulation, causing a partial or complete occlusion of the pulmonary vasculature. we reported the patients with massive PTE from the deep veins thrombosis (DVT) after undergoing cesarian resection and treated successfully mechanical thrombectomy using Arrow-Treretola percutaneous thrombolytic device (ATPTD) after using the adequate thrombolytic agents. Case: A 31 year-old women was admitted for sudden shortness of breath that occurred the day before. The patient did not complained of fever, chills or productive sputum. She underwent cesarian resection two days before and there were no history of DM, hypertension and smoking. Laboratory test at admission, D-dimer was increased to 5.3 ug/ml. Pulmonary CT showed PTE in both pulmonary arteries of right middle lobe, bilateral upper lobe, and anterior and posterior basal segment of right lower lobe. Lt. basal posterior segmental and subsegmental arteries were suspicious of pulmonary infarction and partial collapses were at left lower lobe. An echocardiography showed enlarged RV and RA with reduced LVEF and slightly D-shape of septum on LV. US Doppler lower extremity sonography revealed acute DVT. We decided thrombolysis for massive PTE with urokinase. After infusion, pulmonary angiography showed that thrombus decreased, but thrombus of right lower pulmonary artery remained. So we used ATPTD for thrombus maceration and IVC filter insertion. Symptoms were improved and was discharged with warfarinization. After 3 days, the patient was admitted to the ER again due to both leg edema. CT lower extremity venography showed that acute bulky DVT were seen from inner lumen of IVC filter to iliac vein without flow or collateral vessels. Overnight catheter thrombolysis was performed using urokinase. But thrombus remained in follow up angiography. We performed mechanical thrombectomy and partial pharmacology thrombolysis using 8F aspiration thrombectomy catheter, ATPTD and urokinase to eliminate chronic DVT of distal IVC and both common iliac vein. The patient was improved and were discharged.

      • Effect of Magnetized Water on Cryopreservation in Bovine Spermatozoa

        The purpose of this study was to improve the frozen-thawed sperm of Korean Native Cattle using magnetized water. The semen was collected by artificial vagina. Before cryopreservation, Triladyl was flowed through magnet [0, 2000, 4000 and 6000 Gauss (G)] for 5min. The semen was diluted to magnetized Triladyl with 20% egg-yolk for freezing. The diluted semen was placed in 0.5ml straws, and freezing process was exposed on ‒120℃ for 10min. Diluted sperm was stored into LN2. Analysis of frozen- thawed sperm was estimated of viability with SYBR14/PI stain, and membrane intact with hypoosmotic swelling test (HOST). The mitochondrial function analysis was conducted by staining with Rhodamin 123 by flow cytometry and was analyzed histogram. The intensity of acrosome damage was analyzed using FITC-PNA stain by flow cytometry. Analysis of rhodamin 123 and FITC-PNA stain were used mitochondria and acrosome membrane intact. As a results, sperm viability was significantly higher in 4000G (76.0±1.2%) group than other groups (p<0.05). However, HOST was significantly higher in 4000 (37.7±0.6%) and 6000G (35.0±1.1%) than 0 (30.3±0.9%) and 2000G (30.7±0.5%) (p<0.05). In addition, mitochondria membrane and acrosome damage were significantly lower in 6000G (1.40±0.08% and 26.7±2.9%) group than other groups (p<0.05). In conclusion we suggest that magnetized water could improve the ability of sperm on cryopreservation of korean native cattle. * This work was supported by Grant No. PJ 907008 from Rural development administration (RDA).

      • A study on the risk investigation and safety of personal care robots

        Personal care robots are recognized for their importance as they recognize the need for interaction between human beings and robots in non-production environments. In this study, we collected and analyzed accident cases and statistical data by type of domestic and overseas to utilize in order to establish App Guide and Test method before certified based on safety requirement standard of personal care robot. Through this research, it is aimed to summarize the types of accidents of personal assisted robots and to use them to develop the risk assessment system.
