        색소실조증 환아의 치험례

        Incontinentia pigmenti(Bloch-Sulzberger syndrome) is a sex-linked hereditary disorder so girls are almost exclusively affected. The frequency rate is approximately 1:40,000 among girls. It is associated with skin, ocular, dental, skeletal and central nervous deformities. We reported 2 cases of medically diagnosed IP patients who were 4 and 5 years old girls. They had thin and sparse hair, and represented congenital missing of multiple primary and permanent teeth, accessory cusps and cone-shaped crowns. Therefore we report the dental manifestations and treatment progress. 색소실조증(Incontinentia pigmenti)은 반성우성으로 유전되며, 대부분 여아에서 발생하고 여아 4만 명 중 한 명에서 발생하는 드문 질환이다. 증상으로는 색소침착, 수포형성, 안구 증상, 치아 이상, 골격계 이상, 신경계 이상 등을 동반할 수 있다. 본 증례는 의과적으로 색소실조증으로 진단받고, 치아 결손을 주소로 내원한 5세 여아와, 4세 여아이다. 이들은 가늘고 성긴 머리카락을 나타내었으며, 구강 내 증상으로는 다수 유치와 영구치의 결손, 과잉교두, 원뿔형 치관형태 등을 나타내었다. 이에 구강 증상 및 치료 경과를 보고하는 바이다.

        카드뮴이 인간 단핵구 세포주(THP-1)에서 cytokine 유전자 발현에 미치는 영향

        Cadmium, a potent toxic metal, posses a serious environmental threat but the mechanism of its toxicity remains unclear. Also, cadmium is a known immunotoxic agent in animal studies and induces pathophysiological effects by modulating components of immune system. Cytokines are being increasingly recognized as essential mediators of normal and pathologic immune response. Cells of mononuclear phagocytic system are strategically located at portals of entry in humans and therefore may be particularly at risk for cadmium exposure through contaminated air, food, and drinking water. In the present study, we investigated the effect of cadmium cytotoxicity for the monocyte and expression of cytokine gene in the control and cadmium treated human monocytic cell lines using RT-PCR method. The results showed that cadmium inhibited cell proliferation at 0.1mM cadimium treated cells for 24 hours. The TNF-α mRNA was expressed in both control and cadmium treated cells but not IL-6 and IL-1β. The mRNA levels of TNF-αwere examined during 24 hours culture period, at different time points. The expression of TNF-αmRNA increased in both 0.01mM and 0.1mM cadmium treated cells, but did not show dose-response relationship. According to cadimium treated duration, expression of TNF-αmRNA was more decreased in 24 hours than 6 hours. The decreased levels of mRNA of TNF-α suggest that cadmium suppresses its production at the transcription level.

        Streptococcus의 유당분해에 대한 자일리톨의 효과

        자일리톨은 탄소 5개가 있는 탄수화물로 치아우식증을 억제할 목적으로 사용되는 자당 대체물이다. 본 논문은 구강 중요 세균인 Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus oralis, Streptococcus salivarius에서 유당분해에 대한 자일리톨의 작용을 관찰하고자 하였다. 세균에 대한 유당과 자일리톨의 병합효과를 보기 위하여 분광광도계를 이용한 흡광도를 측정하였고 생균수 검사를 실시하였다. Streptococcus mutans 또는 β-galactosidase에 의한 유당분해에 대한 자일리톨 효과를 보기 위하여 thin layer chromatography와 lactose-PTS activity test를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 유당과 자일리톨을 병합 첨가한 배지에 Streptococcus mutans를 배양하면 배양액 흡광도가 배양 8시간에 증가하지 않다가 배양 24시간에 증가하였다. 배양 8시간에서의 생균수도 유당 단독보다 유당과 자일리톨 병합 첨가 시 적게 나타났다. 2. 유당과 자일리톨을 병합 첨가한 배지에 Streptococcus oralis, Streptococcus salivarius를 배양하면 배양액 흡광도가 배양 8시간에 증가하지 않다가 배양 24시간에 증가하였다. 3. 배지에 유당 단독으로 첨가할 때보다도 유당과 자일리톨을 병합 첨가한 배지에 Streptococcus mutans를 8시간 배양하면 thin layer chromatography상 남아있는 유당이 많았으나, 배양 24시간에는 모든 유당이 분해되었다. 4. 배지에 유당 단독으로 첨가할 때보다도 유당과 자일리톨을 병합 첨가한 배지에서 Streptococcus mutans의 lactose-PTS 활성도가 낮았다. 5. 배지에 유당 단독으로 첨가할 때보다도 유당과 자일리톨을 병합 첨가한 배지에 β-galactosidase 사용시 thin layer chromatography상 유당이 많았다. 이상의 결과는 자일리톨이 Streptococcus의 유당 이용을 억제함을 시사하였다. Xylitol is a 5-carbons carbohydrate, which can be replaced with sucrose for preventing dental caries. To study the effect of xylitol on the fermentation of lactose in bacteria, the important oral bacteria such as Streptococcus (S.) mutans, S. oralis and S. salivarius were studied. The optical density using spectophotometer and the cell concentration were assessed to evaluate the combined effect of lactose and xylitol against the bacteria. Thin layer chromatography and lactose-PTS activity test were performed to evaluate the effect of xylitol on the fermentation of lactose in S. mutans and by β-galactosidase with the following results. 1. The optical density of Streptococcus mutans culture was not increased for 8 hours-incubation in the media added with lactose and xylitol, but was increased at 24 hours-incubation. The number of viable cells at 8 hours-incubation was smaller in the media containing lactose and xylitol in comparison with lactose only. 2. The optical densities of Streptococcus oralis culture and Streptococcus salivarius culture were not increased for 8 hours-incubation in the media added with lactose and xylitol, but were increased at 24 hours-incubation. 3. When Streptococcus mutans was incubated for 8 hours in the media added with lactose and xylitol. the amount of remained lactose was larger compared with the media added with lactose only. But all lactose was fermented in both media after 24 hours-incubation. 4. When Streptococcus mutans was incubated in the media added with lactose and xylitol, the activity of lactose-PTS was higher compared with the media added with lactose only. 5. When β-galactosidase was incubated in the media added with lactose and xylitol, the amount of remained lactose was larger compared with the media added with lactose only. These results indicated that xylitol inhibited the fermentation of lactose by Streptococcus.

        대졸 청년층 하향취업의 결정요인

        이 연구는 29세 이하, 취업경험 6년 이하 대졸 청년층의 하향취업을 결정하는 요인들을 분석하였다. 하향취업을 측정하는 방법으로 통계적인 방법을 고안하였고, 그와 동시에 주관적 평가 방식에 따른 측정방법을 보완적으로 활용하였다. 분석된 자료는 한국고용정보원에서 수집한「산업별·직업별 고용구조조사(2006)」원자료다. 하향취업자 비율은 통계적 측정방법에 따르면 42.7%, 주관적인 평가에 따르면22.0%로 측정방법에 따라 큰 차이가 있다. 통계적 측정방법을 취할 경우 여성이, 주관적 평가 방법을 취할 경우 남성이 높은 하향취업율을 보인다. 연령이 낮을수록, 비정규직일수록, 대체로 사업체 규모가 적을수록 하향취업자 비율이 높다. 그밖에 미혼일수록, 자격증이 없을수록, 1년 이내에 교육·훈련 경험이 없을수록 하향취업자 비율이 높다. This article defined two methods to measure 'downgrading employment' and analysed it's main factors for korean youth workers. Downgrading employment means working in a job which needs a lower level of education than oneselfs degree. We use two methods of measurement: one define it by 'statistical method' and another by the subjective assessment of respondents. According to the statistical method, 42.7% of young workers are found in a situation of downgrading employment. But only 22.0% of them feel a situation of downgrading employment. Downgrading employment is more frequent within women, younger age group, non regular employee, medium and small enterprises's workers. The civil state, qualification related to oneselfs job, training experience are also factors which have a influence on a downgrading employment.

        유산균 발효유가 Streptococcus mutans의 생균수 및 biofilm 형성에 미치는 영향

        유산균이 위장관과 구강건강에 probiotics로서 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음이 보고되고 있다. 이에 시판되는 유산균 발효유 5종과 우유를 선택하여 우식유발 원인균인 S. mutans에 대한 증식억제 및 biofilm 형성에 미치는 영향을 평가하고, 발효유의 산도, 완충능, 산생성능, 칼슘과 인의 함량을 측정하였다. 유산균 발효유에 S. mutans를 주입한 후 생균수를 측정한 결과 모든 발효유의 %가 증가함에 따라 S. mutans 수가 감소했으나 우유에서는 변화가 없었다. 10% 유산균 발효유에 S. mutans를 주입한 후 biofilm 형성 정도를 측정한 결과 액티브 GG, 불가리스는 biofilm 형성이 감소하였고, 이오는 유의한 변화가 없었으며, 투티, 에이스, 우유는 증가하였다(P<0.05). 유산균 발효유 및 우유의 산도를 측정한 결과 이오(3.48±0.01), 투티(3.67±0.02), 에이스(3.71±0.02), 액티브 GG(4.04±0.02), 불가리스(4.19±0.02) 순으로 나타났다. 유산균 발효유의 산생성능을 평가한 결과 불가리스가 가장 높은 산생성능을 보였으며 액티브 GG, 에이스, 투티, 이오, 우유 순으로 산도 하강 경향을 나타냈다. 이상의 결과는 유산균 발효유가 초기산도 및 산생성능 측정 결과 우식유발 가능성이 있음을 나타냈다. 그러나 유산균 발효유 중에서 농후발효유가 우식유발균인 S. mutans를 억제하였고 biofilm 형성을 감소시켜 긍정적인 효과를 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. Lactic acid bacteria worked positively on gastrointestinal tract and oral environment. So I selected commercial five fermented milks and milk. and then I evaluated their effect of growth inhibition and biofilm formation of cariogenic bacteria. Streptococcus mutans. And also calculated the acidity. buffering capacity. concentration of Ca and P ion and pH change of those drinks. After adding S. mutans to fermented milks viable cell count of S. mutans in milk was not statistically different but those in all fermented milks were decreased as concentration of fermented milk increased. When I measured the amount of formed biofilm in 10% fermented milks and milk with S. mutans and compared with those without S. mutans. the amount was decreased in Active GG and Bulgaris while being increased in Tootee. Ace and milk(P<0.05). The fermented milk with the lowest pH value was E5(3.48±0.01). and the highest was Bulgaris(4.19±0.02). pH change of the fermented milks and milk with S. mutans was measured. The highest acid producing fermented milk was Bulgaris. and followed by Active GG, Ace, Tootee, E5, Milk. These results indicated that fermented milks had caries activity due to the value of initial acidity and acid producing capacity. But, concentrated fermented milks had the inhibitory effect against S. mutans, and also had high volume of Ca and P ion that protected teeth. So I suggest that they have positive effect on teeth.

      • 미혼 남녀의 배우자 선택 조건 및 관련 요인 분석

        The purposes of this article are to find the general trends of unmarried men and women's mate selection conditions, to estimate the differences according to related variables and to analyze the effects of significant variables influencing on mate selection. The samples were selected from the unmarried 164 men and 235 women living in Kwang-ju. The major findings are as follows; 1. All scores of mate selection conditions were higher than medium. Especially in desirable spouse conditions, women's were higher than men's. Move valued spouse conditions were women's apperance, health, family background in men and all conditions in women. Women desired more similar and interactional conditions than men. 2. External and internal conditions were significantly different from age, work in men and age, father's and mother's age in women. Homogeneous and interactional conditions were significantly different from sex role attitude, premarital sexual experience in men and age, education, work, father's age, love necessity of marriage, sex role attitude, premarital sexual experience in women. 3. External and internal conditions were influenced by work in men and mother's and father's age in women. Homogeneous conditions were influenced by premarital sexual experience, necessity of marriage in men and age, premarital sexual experi-ence, necessity of marriage in women. Interactional conditions were influenced by sex role attitude, father's age in men and sex role attitude, education, work in women.

      • 하절기 아산호의 수환경 요인 변화

        An investigation was conducted on the water environmental factors at six sites in summer of the Asanho from 29 May to 31 August 2003. The average values of water temperature in six sites were ranged 23.0-29.0℃, highest at site 6 in upsteam of the Asaho. The average values of pH, dissolved oxygen(DO), conductivity, turbidity and salinity in six sites were 8.55-9.00, 5.38-9.84 ㎎/l, 0.198-0.222 ㎳/㎝, 39.00-58.25 NTU and 0.002%, respectively. The water temperature, pH and DO were hoghest in 31 July, and revealed similar patterns, but conductivity and salinity were highest in 29 May, also closely related to between conductivity and salinity.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the visual variation of skilled and unskilled people, and to obtain data necessary for skill improvement of effective handball penalty throw. An eye tracker was used to collect eye movements, concentration points, directions, and paths during penalty throws. The results are as follows: 1) For skilled players, the place where they threw and the place where their eyes were focused matched. 2) There is no difference in the presence or absence of eye contact with the goalkeeper.

        환기정도에 따른 수술실용 신발 종류가 수술실 오염에 미치는 영향 : How to Choose Suitable Shoes?

        Background : Various types of protective footwear have been used to minimize bacterial contamination in operating rooms. In recent years, debate has arisen concerning the need for use of such protective footwear. This study was designed to provide useful data about choosing shoes most suitable for the surgical environment. Methods : Between November, 1999 and January, 2000, we performed this experimental study by comparing effect of three types of shoes (i.e., disposable shoescover, operating room-restricted shoes, and ordinary shoes) on bacterial contamination of operating rooms equipped with two different ventilation systems (i.e., high air-change, low air-change) respectively. Data were collected during two-hour sham operations in which subjects and their activities were strictly standardized. Bacterial flora were sampled from the study area floor and air colony-counts were measured. Results : In experiments involving high air-change ventilation system, there was a significant difference of floor contamination between three types of shoes, but no difference of air contamination. Under low air-change system, there was a significant difference of both floor and air contamination between three types of shoes. Conclusion : The results show that protective footwear would be unnecessary in the operating room with high air-change ventilation system, but it is important to choose suitable shoes carefully under low air-change system. Therefore, the use of outdoor shoes can be considered under high air-change system, but it would seem sensible to apply their first use in less bloody operations at the day surgery center or out-patient department to prevent transfer of body fluid into the outside environment.

        팔당호 연안생태계의 수생식물상과 생태적 특성

        팔당호 연안대의 수생식물상과 식생을 파악하기 위하여 2003년 4월부터 2004년 4월까지 9곳의 조사 지점을 선정하여 선방형구법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 팔당호 연안대에는 128종류의 관속식물이 생육하고 있는 것으로 조사되었고, 이중 수생식물은 38종류였다. 수생식물의 경우 정수식물이 21종류로 가장 많았고, 침수식물은 8종류 였고, 침수식물 종류수는 이전 조사보다 감소한 것으로 파악되었다. 팔당호 주요 식생은 애기부들, 줄, 갈대가 우점하는 정수식물대로 파악되었고, 특히 두물머리, 광동교 근처에 넓게 정수식물대가 넓게 발달하였다. 귀화식물은 11종류가 분포하고 있었으나, 출현 빈도는 상대적으로 높았다. 팔당호 연안대에 분포하는 식물의 출현 빈도를 조사 지점을 기준으로 살펴보면, 조사 지점당 수생식물은 2.7종류, 습생식물은 2.5종류, 육지식물은 1.8종류로 파악 되었고, 수직대상분포 식생이 팔당호 연안대에서 발견되었다. 이러한 조사 결과는 팔당호 연안대가 수생태계의 전형적인 특성들을 지니고 있는 것으로 풀이된다. To investigate the flora and vegetation structure of vascular plants in the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir, from April, 2003 to April 2004, nine sampling sites were selected. Along the Paldang Reservoir, 128 taxa, consisted of 51 families and 96 genera, were identified, among them, hydrophytes were confirmed as 38 taxa, which was comprised 29.7% to total taxa, whereas hygrophytes were 44 taxa and terrestrial plants were 46 taxa. Emergent hydrophytes consists of 21 taxa, including Phragmites australis and Typha angustifolia, and next, submerged hydrophytes were 8 taxa. However, the kinds and vegetation area of submerged hydorphytes were reduced compared to previous studies. In the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir, the aquatic vegetation was widely developed near Dumulmori, Yangsuri, and Kwangdong Bridge, downstream of Kyungancheon. The average number of hydrophyte per sampling sites were 2.7 taxa, whereas hygrophytes were 2.5, and land plants were 1.8. In addition, the hydrophytes in the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir showed the typical vertical zonation pattern like a natural swamp. These results mean that the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir has the typical characteristics of aquatic plant ecosystem.
