본 시험은 참당귀의 교잡육종을 위한 기초자료를 얻고자 참당귀 6개 주산지의 지방종에 대하여 수량과 생육특성을 비교하고 각 형질간의 상관관계를 조사하였으며 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 지상부 생육에서 出?期는 5월 1~8일로 '봉화종'보다 '인제종'과 '무주종'이 6~7일정도 빨랐고 草長은 '봉화' '무주종'이 '태백종'보다 6.3~5.1cm 컸으며,葉數는 지방종간에 차이가 없었다. 추대는 6월 15일부터 시작하여 6월 15일~7월 15일 사이에 가장 많았으며, '인제종', '울진종' 및 '태백종'은 매우 낮은 추대율을 나타내었다. 各 지방종의 지하부 생육은 根長이 45.3~52.2cm 범위였고 根徑은 45.6~51.1mm로 '무주종'이 다소 컸으나 모두 차이는 인정되지 않았다. 株當生根重은 227~374g으로 '무주종', '태백종'이 다소 높게 나타났으나 유의성이 없었고, 10a당 乾根收量은 '태백종','인제종','울진종'이 '봉화종'보다 各各 288%, 260%, 244%로 다른 계통보다 많았다. 참당귀의 수량에 가장 크게 관여하는 형질은 추대율로서 고도에 負의 相關關係를 나타내었고 근형질 중에서는 근장이 正相關 關係를 보였다. 추대율은 초장과 正相關을 根長과는 負相關關係를 나타내었다. This study was conducted to obtain basic information on crop breeding for developing bolting resistant variety of Angelica gigas N which has been subjected to severe yield reduction resulted from flower-stalk initiation during the growth. Some agronomic characteristics such as plant height, number of leaves, emergence date and bolting rates of 6 local cultivars were investigated together with root characteristics and yields. Results obtained are summarized as follows. Emergence date of cultivars investigated in this experiment were from May 1 to May 8. Emergence date of Ponghwa-cultivar was May 8, and that of Inje, Muju-cultivar were May 1 and May 2, respectively. All cultivars except Ulchin-cultivar bolted on June 15. Of 6 cultivars tested, Inje, Ulchin and Taebaek-cultivar were appeared to be low-bolting cultivars showing 1.6%, 2.0%, and 9.0% bolting rates, respectively, whereas Ponghwa and Muju-cultivar were high-bolting cultivar showing more than 40% bolting rate. Root yields based on dry weight were higher in Taebaek(535kg/10a), Inje(483kg/10a), Ulchin(454kg/10a), Pyeongchang, Muju and Ponghwa-cultivar in order. Based on the analysis of correlation coefficients among various growth characteristic of Angelica gigas N root yield show significantly negative correlation with bolting rate suggesting that bolting is definitively influence on root quality and yield. Howerer, bolting rate showed positive correlation with plant height and negative correlation with root length.

Background: The clinical implications of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein autoantibodies (MOG-Abs) are increasing. Establishing MOG-Ab assays is essential for effectively treating patients with MOG-Abs. We established an in-house cell-based assay (CBA) to detect MOG-Abs to identify correlations with patients’ clinical characteristics. Methods: We established the CBA using HEK 293 cells transiently overexpressing full-length human MOG, tested it against 166 samples from a multicenter registry of central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory disorders, and compared the results with those of the Oxford MOG-Ab-based CBA and a commercial MOG-Ab CBA kit. We recruited additional patients with MOG-Abs and compared the clinical characteristics of MOG-Ab-associated disease (MOGAD) with those of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). Results: Of 166 samples tested, 10 tested positive for MOG-Abs, with optic neuritis (ON) being the most common manifestation (4/15, 26.7%). The in-house and Oxford MOG-Ab CBAs agreed for 164/166 (98.8%) samples (κ=0.883, P<0.001); two patients (2/166, 1.2%) were only positive in our in-house CBA, and the CBA scores of the two laboratories correlated well (r=0.663, P<0.001). The commercial MOG-Ab CBA kit showed one false-negative and three false-positive results. The clinical presentation at disease onset differed between MOGAD and NMOSD; ON was the most frequent manifestation in MOGAD, and transverse myelitis was most frequent in NMOSD. Conclusions: The in-house CBA for MOG-Abs demonstrated reliable results and can potentially be used to evaluate CNS inflammatory disorders. A comprehensive, long-term study with a large patient population would clarify the clinical significance of MOG-Abs.
반려동물 입양과정과 유기동물 발생에 대한 관련성 고찰 및 해결방안 모색

As the companion animal market has grown rapidly, social awareness of affection for animals and animal protection has also developed rapidly. However, as a result, various social problems (unethical puppy mills, conflicts between companions and non-companions, increase in abandoned animals, dog bite accidents, etc.) are occurring. In particular, social costs are increasing due to the increase in lost and abandoned animals, so it is necessary to reduce lost and abandoned animals and promote adoption. However, this problem is not simply a matter of the increase in companion animals. It is related to social problems such as the factory breeding business, the adoption of companion animals without sufficient understanding of companion animals, the perception that abandoned animals are not healthy, lack of guidance in the adoption process, and dissolution of adoption. Therefore, in this review, domestic and overseas cases were compared and necessary improvement measures were found in the process of adopting a companion animal. It is expected that the occurrence of abandoned animals will be reduced by making animal registration mandatory with a built-in wireless identification device. In addition, it is necessary to prevent the impulsive adoption of a companion animal by providing an education system for adopters so that they can adopt with sufficient education and consideration period. It is also important to eliminate prejudice against the adoption of abandoned animals by checking the health of animals under protection from animal shelters. Furthermore, it is necessary to make efforts to lead to the formation of a social community and the promotion of the adoption of abandoned animals by operating an education program that continuously spreads companion culture based on the local community.
