      • N-벤조일-이미다졸 유도체의 가수분해반응

        The pseudo first order rates for hydrolyses of N-benzoyl-(2,4,5-triphenyl)-imidazole and N-benzoyl-(4,5-diphenyl)-imidazole have been measured by means of spectrometry in over all pH range at 30˚C with the ionic strength of 0.5M KC1. In the case of N-benzoyl-(2,4,5-triphenyl)-imidazole, the general acid catalytic reaction was not observed, while the general base catalytic reaction showed in near the range of pH=7. In the case of N-benzoyl-(4,5-diphenyl)-imidazole, the general acid and base catalytic reaction showed at the regions of less than pH=4 and more than pH=10. The rate constants for pH independent reaction of N-benzoyl-(2,4,5,-triphenyl)-imidazole were shown a little bit faster than those of the corresponding to N-benzoyl-(4,5-diphenyl)-imidazole. The reaction mechanism of pH independent reaction was interpreted by means of thermodynamic parameters, and the isotope effect. The magni-tude of ΔH??, ΔS??, ??/?? values indicated that the bond breaking had been progressed more than bond formation in the transition state.

        저체중 또는 과체중 청소년에서 캠프 프로그램을 이용한 영양 교육효과에 관한 연구

        This study was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of a nutrition education program developed for nutritionally imbalanced adolescents. A summer nutrition camp was held for 23 overweight and 16 underweight subjects. Its effectiveness with regard to was evaluated at the end of the camp and 6 months later. Nutrition knowledge, nutritional attitude, food behavior, nutrient intake, exercise habit and ideal body figures desired by the subjects. The results showed significantly higher nutrition knowledge scores at the end of the camp as compared to those obtained prior to the camp program, and these scores were maintained for at least six months. Nutrition attitude scores also improved after the education program, and these improved scores also lasted for 6 months. However, the food behavior scores measured 6 months after the education program were not significantly different from those obtained prior to the camp. Also, the exercise habit, the ideal body figures and the body figures desired by the subjects remained unchanged. When nutrient intakes of subjects were assessed before the program and 6 months later, the mean daily vitamin C intake was significantly increased after the education program. Also, the intake of iron from plant food sources increased in the overweight subjects, while less iron from animal source were consumed by the underweight subjects. Both groups tended to consume more vegetables and fruits 6 months after the education program which may have contribute to the higher vitamin C and plant-based iron intakes. These results indicate that a 4-day nutrition education camp program sustained changes in nutrition knowledge and nutrition attitude for 6 months. The increased intake of vegetables and fruits was also achieved through this education program. However, changes in dietary behavior in adolescents may require repeated education.

      • 급성 구강감염부위에서 Staphylococcus lugunensis 의 특성

        Staphylococcus lugdunensis (S. lugdunensis) is a newly identified pathogenic species of coagulase negative staphylococci and an occasional but not rare cause of severe infections, such as infective endocarditis after dental extraction, bacteremia, osteomyelitis, peritonitis, and soft tissue infections. As antibiotic use increased, resistance rapidly developed. Some strains have plasmids related to antibiotic resistance. To characterize S. lugdunensis in acute oral infection, S. lugdunensis was isolated from the patients with acute oral abscess, osteomyelitis, and normal persons. Antibiotic resistance, in vitro cellular toxicity, in vivo virulence, δ-like hemolysin activity, and synergistic hemolysis on sheep blood agar plates were investigated. The dot blot analysis and Southern blot analysis of staphylococcal DNA was performed with δ-hemolysin gene probe of Staphylococcus aureus. (S. aureus) Staphylococcal DNA was cloned, nucleotide sequence was analysed, and homology was compared with other sequence in Gene Bank. S. aureus, S. lugdunensis, Staphylococcus cohnii (S. cohnii), and other coagulase negative staphylococci (CNS) were isolated from the patients with acute oral infection. The isolation ratio of S. lugdunensis in the patients with infection was higher than that of healthy persons, but the isolation ratio of S. aureus in the patients with infection was similar to that of healthy persons. S. lugdunensis from the patients with acute oral infection showed the resistance to penicillin, methicillin, cephalothin, and clindamycin. S. lugdunensis in the patients had cellular toxicity in vitro and virulence in vivo. All strains of S. lugdunensis had δ-like hemolysin activity against rabbit erythrocytes. Four of the six strains of S. lugdunensis gave synergistic hemolysis with S. aureus on sheep blood agar plates. In dot blot analysis, all strains of S. lugdunensis showed the positive reaction with the probe of δ-hemolysin gene in S. aureus, but a 7.3 kb HindⅢ fragment was observed in the DNA of S. lugdunensis that gave synergistic hemolysis in a Southern blot analysis. The molecular size of partially purified δ-hemolysin was about 50 kd. The cloned fragments from the chromosomal DNA of S. lugdunensis showed the partial homology with the insulin receptor-related and dopamine receptor of humans. These results suggest that S. lugdunensis might be an important pathogen in acute oral infection and show some homology with eukaryotes.

      • 벗나무속 수종간의 핵 리보솜 DNA의 ITS Ⅰ 염기서열 비교

        Comparison of four species (Prunus yedoensis, P. sargentii, P. pendula for. ascendens, P. serrulata var. quelpaertensis) and one cultivar of P. yedoensis were carried out by comparing their nucleotide sequences from the internal transcribed spacers (ITS) I of nuclear ribosomal DNA (rDNA). The length of the ITS I region was ranged from 229 to 236 base pairs (bp). The G+C contents of ITS I ranged from 58.5 to 60.2%. The value of nucleotide divergence across for four Prunus species and one cultivar ranged from 0.4 to 6%. The pairwise distance between P. pendula for. ascendens and P. yedoensis was 0.004 showing the lowest value among any other pairs. On the other hand, the pairwise distance betwen P. yedoensis and cultivated P. yedoensis was 0.026. The nucleotide analysis based on ITS I sequence was considerably similar to previous studies on the basis of random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD).

      • 靑少年 勤勞者의 營養攝取 實態에 관한 調査硏究

        The purpose of this research is to clarify the relationship between the situation of the industrial worker's nutritive conditions and elements which have influence on it. To satisfy this purpose, subjects of the investigation were the industrial laborers of eleven of many business enterprises in Young nam district, and the researching method questionnaire and field investigation. On the basis of these facts analysis and result of the general conditions, discomfortable physical symptoms, eating habits and nutritive conditions, etc. are summarized as follows. 1. Age of the male subjects was 26-29(47.7%) and that of the female subjects 20-25(94.2%). For the educational level male high school graduates were 83.6% and female high school graduates 60.6%. For the residential form 49.3% of male and 63.5% of female lived in the dormitary. the average monthly income of male was 310 thousand 400 thousand won(49.3%) and that of female 210 thousand 300 thousand won(61.3%). Monthly eating expenses of both male and female were 70 thousand won. For the discomfortable physical symptoms "fatuigable" was more than 60% in both male and female. And for the mental trouble "nervous about trifles" was 31.3%(male) and 56.2%(female) : percentage, of female was as two times as male. For meals skipping rate was 74.6% and female 86.8% : both of them showed the frequent meals skipping, and the time of meals skipping was mostly morning(male:82.0%, female:67.2%) Mixed and powdered eating rate was 70% in both sexes. 2. For the daily nutrition of subjects per capita calorte of male was 89% and that of female 65% of the Recommended Dietary Allowances for Koreans : and both were short of the Recommended Dietary Allowances for Koreans. For protein rate male was 114% (78g) and female 103% (62g) of the Recommended Dietary Allowances for Koreans: both of them were relatively good. And for ingestion of mineral nutirition and vitamine both sexes showed the good rate expect calcuim : which was over the Recommended Dietary Allowances for Koreans. 3. In the relation between general facts, eating habits and quantity of nutrition ingestion, the group which payed high eating expenses represented also high rate of nutrition ingestion except vitamin C. In residential form both sexes who lived in the dormitary showed high rate of nutrition ingestion. The lower rate of meals skipping was, the more nutrition ingestion quantity was. Between-meals refreshments were 1-2 times in both sexes, contests of those extended to all nutrients except vitamin C and vitamin B₂ The longer and more adequante rest was taken, the more nutrients were intaken, and in calcuim and Iron the significant difference (p<0.05) was indicated. It is true that the result of this research proves the higher rate in quantiry of nutrition ingestion compaved with other's But it is noticible that conditions of nutrition ingestion are very different according to such eating habits as degree of meals skipping, frequence of between-meals refreshments and conditions of rest. Therefore it is required to perform the better nutritive education for confirming the desirable eating habits.

        공동주택단지 옥외공간계획 수준 평가를 위한 정성적 평가지표 선정에 관한 연구

        This study aims to select qualitative indicators as a means to evaluate the quality of outdoor spaces design in multi-family housing. According to the analysis of correctness and usefulness of qualitative indicators in outdoor spaces, the qualitative indicators are selected. The correctness and usefulness of qualitative indicators are examined by 2 words. One is analyzing the results of experts' questionnaire survey about the criteria of preference of 16 multi-family housing. As a result 6 environmental qualitative indicators are proposed and 18 environmental qualitative detail indicators are proposed. 6 environmental qualitative indicators are: Recreational Space Planning, Green Space Planning, Pedestrian Space Planning, Traffic Road and Parking Space Planning. Building Blocks Planning and Landscaping.

        공동주택단지의 옥외환경에 대한 정성적 평가지표와 거주자만족도사이의 상관성분석 연구

        This study aims to investigate the usefulness of qualitative indicators proposed in Multi0Family Housing according to the analyzing works such as correlation analysis between the residents' satisfaction and the qualitative indicators etc. Therefore the 4 analyzing works are as follows : 1) analyzing the results of questionnaire survey on the experts about the evaluation of whole outdoor spaces of 15 multi-family housings. 2) analyzing the results of questionnaire survey on the residents about the evaluation of whole outdoor spaces of 15 multi-family housings. 3) analyzing the evaluation results of 15 multi-family housing by quantitative indicators 4)analyzing the results of researcher's evaluating of the site plans of 15 multi-family housings. As a result, 6 environmental qualitative basic indicators are proposed and 20 environmental qualitative detail indicators are proposed. 6 environmental qualitative basic indicators are Recreational Space Planning, Green Space Planning, Pedestrian Space Planning, Traffic Road and Parking Space Planning, Building Blocks Planning and Landscaping. The characteristics of environmental qualitative indicators proposed are as follows : 1) environmental qualitative basic indicators suggested are able to evaluate the area which are difficult to quantitative analysis according to above 6 plannings 2) environmental qualitative detail indicators suggested help evaluate objectively and concretely.

        Carbazoles were discovered in anthracene oil of coal tar, and are the parent structure of a number of heterocyclic compounds. Much attention has been paid to carbazole derivatives recently as the materials for semiconductors and photoconductive compounds. Many conventional methods for synthesis of carbazoles were known such as Grabe-Ullmann methods and the Tauber methods. In the course of the investigation for the synthesis of pyrrole derivatives 3. We have found the formation of 9-arylcarbazoles 4 under refluxing glacial acetic acid. Thus we report the results here.

        Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) is a life-threatening syndrome characterized by the classic pentad of clinical features that includes microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, neurologic abnormalities, fever, and renal dysfunction. Early diagnosis and utilization of plasmapheresis can improve the survival rates of patients with TTP. TTP rarely may be seen in association with autoimmune disease such as systemic lupus erythematous (SLE). We report here a 42-year-old female who was presented with severe digital gangrenes, microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, neurologic abnormalities, fever, and renal dysfunction. Her condition responded to combined therapy with high dose steroid, immunosuppressants, and plasmapheresis therapy.

        찹쌀 품종별 식혜의 당화 및 관능적 특성

        The saccharification and sensory characteristics of Sikhe, Korean traditional beverage of saccharified rice, made from thirteen glutinous rice varieties and one of non-glutinous rice named Ilpum were examined. During saccharification, Shinsunchalbyeo, Whasunchalbyeo, Yukdononhrimna 1 and Hangangchalbyeo showed the highest sweetness determined by refractometer. Yukdononhrimna I was good for the morphology and texture of cooked rice kernel during saccharification. There was interrelationship between contents of released reducing sugar and sweetness determined by refractometer during preparation of Sikhe. The overall acceptability determined by sensory evaluation of Sikhe made from Yukdonongrimna 1, was slightly higher than that of Sikhe made from Ilpum, the non-glutionous rice variety. Yukdononhrimna 1 was considered to the most suitable varieties of Sikhe.
