        Canonical transient receptor potential channels and their modulators: biology, pharmacology and therapeutic potentials

        Canonical transient receptor potential channels(TRPCs) are nonselective, high calcium permeability cationicchannels. The TRPCs family includes TRPC1, TRPC2,TRPC3, TRPC4, TRPC5, TRPC6, and TRPC7. These channelsare widely expressed in the cardiovascular and nervoussystems and exist in many other human tissues and celltypes, playing several crucial roles in the human physiologicaland pathological processes. Hence, the emergenceof TRPCs modulators can help investigate these channels’applications in health and disease. It is worth noting that theTRPCs subfamilies have structural and functional similarities,which presents a signifi cant diffi culty in screening anddiscovering of TRPCs modulators. In the past few years,only a limited number of selective modulators of TRPCswere detected; thus, additional research on more potent andmore selective TRPCs modulators is needed. The presentreview focuses on the striking desired therapeutic eff ectsof TRPCs modulators, which provides intel on the structuralmodifi cation of TRPCs modulators and further pharmacologicalresearch. Importantly, TRPCs modulators cansignifi cantly facilitate future studies of TRPCs and TRPCsrelated diseases.

        Experimental study on deformation and strength property of compacted loess

        A series of experimental studies are conducted on the deformation and shear strength property of compacted loess. The results reveal that the relationships of both the initial moisture content (w) and the initial degree of compaction (K) of compacted loess with cohesion (w) and the angle of internal friction (${\varphi}$) are linear. The relationship between the secant modulus ($E_{soi}$) and K is also linear. The relationship between $E_{soi}$ and w can be fitted well by a second-order polynomial. Further, when the influences of w and K are ignored, the relationship between the confined compression strain (${\varepsilon}$) and vertical pressure (p) can be expressed by a formula. A correction formula for the deformation of compacted loess caused by a change in w and K is derived on the basis of the study results.

        중국 노인의 여가스포츠활동 참가동기가 생활만족 및 행복한 삶에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the Chinese elderly leisure sports participation motive on life satisfaction and happiness of life. Using the purposeful sampling method, the subjects were conducted by over 60-year old 550 persons who live in Beijing and Tianjin, 2011. Collected data was processed by descriptive statistic, factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression, SPSS Version 17.0 program. The conclusion obtained on the basis of the foregoing research method and procure is shown as follows. First, the analysis of correlation between leisure sports participation motive, life satisfaction and happiness of life showed that there was static correlation between them. Second, leisure sports participation motive of Chinese elderly who join in sport leisure were related to life satisfaction. Third, leisure sports participation motivations of Chinese elderly have a Significant influence on life happiness, physical health, economic lifestyle, emotional health, family and outside-family relationship.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze how the sports values have effects on deciding what the chinese college athletes do after their graduation. To proceed this study, we set 310 university students who are athlete for our research target in Beijing. Some questionnaires were used for research and we do exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple liner regression through SPSS 17.0 Version for data processing. The results of this research is as below. In the relationship between chinese athletes`s sports values and types of career decision. characteristic, economic, political, religious, entertainment values a give meaningful effect to the rational decision, economic and religious values give a meaningful effect to the dependent decision, and characteristic, political and religious values give a meaningful effect to intuitional decision.

        한국과 중국 대학운동선수들의 스포츠가치관 비교연구

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in point of view of sports values for university athletes in China and Korea, and to prove the existence of these differences through their personal characteristics. SPSS Windows 17.0 version was used for processing the date of the research. The results of this study are as follows: First, as to the difference of universities athletes’ values in different countries, it appeared that Chinese athletes were higher than Korean athletes in terms of economic value, social relation value and character value. Second, Korean athletes with different personal characteristics showed a significant difference in terms of economic value, character value and psychological value in regards to sports. Third, Chinese athletes showed a difference in social relation value and character value. In regards to the relationship of gender to this equation, gender was shown to be a source of significant differences in social relation value, the athletes’ experience caused economic value, the social relation value, character value and religious value. Finally, the influence of winning a prize was a difference in social relation value and psychological value.

      • 중국 노인 여가스포츠 참가자의 참여동기와 행복에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 중국 노인 여가스포츠 참가자의 참여동기와 행복의 관계에 관한 선행연구 결과를 기초로 하여 인구학적 특성에 따른 여가스포츠 참여동기, 행복의 차이를 실증적으로 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 2011년 현재 중국 북경시에 살고 있는 만 65세 이상의 여가스포츠에 참가하고 있는 노인을 모집단으로 선정한 다음 집락무선표집법(Cluster Random Sampling Method)을 이용하여 표본을 500부 추출하였으며, 불성실하게 응답한 자료를 제외하고 총 460명의 자료를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS Windows 17.0 version을 이용하여 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, T검정, One-way Anova를 실시하였으며, 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 인구학적 특성에 따른 여가스포츠 참여동기 차이에서는 성별은 남자가 여자보다 외적동기가 높게, 연령은 75세 이상 노인들의 65~74세 노인들보다 내적동기가 높게, 배우자 유무에서는 내적동기와 외적동기가 배우자 있다가 없다보다 높게, 용돈정도에서는 외적동기와 내적동기 모두 넉넉함이 많이부족 보다 높게, 주관적 건강에서는 건강한 노인들이 건강하지 않은 노인들보다 내적동기가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 인구학적 특성에 따른 여가스포츠 행복의 차이에서는 성별은 여자가 남자보다 행복감이 높게, 연령에서는 생활만족이 65~69세가 70세이상 보다 높게, 행복감은 75세 이상이 65~74세 노인들 보다 높게, 교육수준에서는 대졸·고졸·중졸이 초졸 보다 높게, 배우자 유무에서는 생활만족과 행복감 모두 배우자 있다가 없다 보다 높게, 용돈정도는 생활만족과 행복감 모두 넉넉함이 많이 부족보다 높게 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to proven investigate of participation motivation and leisure constraints of Chinese elderly who participating in leisure sport through precede studies. To attain this purpose, we selected the populations who lived in Beijing, China, in 2011 and more than 65 ages, and participating in leisure sport regularly. fter the process, we extract 500 samples by ‘Cluster Random Sampling’ method. onsequently, we used 460 samples data for our study. SPSS Windows 17.0 version was used for statistical analysis. hrough this program, we conducted frequency analysis, exploratory-factorial analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, One-way ANOVA. he result of our study is as in the following. First of all, in part of demographic factors, external motivation of male was higher than that of female. Internal motivation of the upper 75 ages was higher than those of 65 to 74 ages. nternal and external motivations of the elderly who have spouse were higher than that of who don’t have their spouse. In spending money part, internal and external motivations were higher in abundant person than relatively the poor. In self awareness of physical fitness, internal motivation of healthy person was higher than the unhealthy. Second, the degrees of happiness of female were higher than male in accordance with demographic factors (gender). In life satisfaction part, 65 to 69 ages were higher than upper 70 ages. However, the degrees of happiness of upper 75 ages were higher than that of 65 to 74 ages. The persons who have diploma of college, high school, middle school were higher in life satisfaction than who don’t have. As stated above, the elderly who have spouse were higher in life satisfaction and happiness than that of who don’t have their spouse. And lastly, in spending money part, life satisfaction and happiness were higher in abundant person than relatively the poor.

        Effect of Light with Different Wavelengths on Nostoc flagelliforme Cells in Liquid Culture

        The effects of lights with different wavelengths on the growth and the yield of extracellular polysaccharides of Nostoc flagelliforme cells were investigated in a liquid cultivation. N. flagelliforme cells were cultured for 16 days in 500 ml conical flasks containing BG11 culture medium under 27 μmol·m-2·s-1 of light intensity and 25oC on a rotary shaker (140 rpm). The chlorophyll a, phycocyanin, allophycocyanin, and phycoerythrin contents in N. flagelliforme cells under the lights of different wavelengths were also measured. It was found that the cell biomass and the yield of polysaccharide changed with different wavelengths of light. The biomass and the yield of extracellular polysaccharides under the red or violet light were higher than those under other light colors. Chlorophyll a, phycocyanin, and allophycocyanin are the main pigments in N. flagelliforme cells. The results showed that N. flagelliforme, like other cyanobacteria, has the ability of adjusting the contents and relative ratio of its pigments with the light quality. As a conclusion, N. flagelliforme cells favor red and violet lights and perform the complementary chromatic adaptation ability to acclimate to the changes of the light quality in the environment.

        Expression of lncRNA NEAT1 in endometriosis and its biological functions in ectopic endometrial cells as mediated via miR-124-3p

        Background: Endometriosis (EM) is a gynecological disease that poses severe health risks to women, although its pathogenesis has yet to be fully elucidated. It has been shown that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are closely associated with EM initiation and have a role in the development of this disease. Previous studies exploring the expression of the lncRNA nuclear paraspeckle assembly transcript 1 (NEAT1) have shown that this lncRNA functions as a tumor promoter in endometrial cancer. However, its exact mechanism of action in EM remains unclear. Objective: This report was designed to illustrate the potential molecular mechanisms of lncRNA NEAT1 on EM. Methods: Endometrial tissues were extracted from EM model rats and patients with EM. Hematoxylin and eosin staining was applied to detect the morphological changes that occurred in rats after construction of the model. Endometrial stromal cells (ESCs) were extracted from either ectopic endometrium (EC) or eutopic endometrium (EU) tissues from patients with EM. LncRNA NEAT1 and miR-124-3p expression in EM tissues and cells were subsequently evaluated by reverse transcription-quantitative (RT-q)PCR analysis. MTT assay, flow cytometric analysis, western blot assay and Transwell assay were then employed to examine the effect of NEAT1 and miR-124-3p on EC-ESC proliferation, apoptosis, migration and invasion, respectively. The targeted relationship between lncRNA NEAT1 and miR-124-3p was subsequently confirmed by dual-luciferase and co-transfection assays. Results: MiR-124-3p was identified as a target of NEAT1, and could be negatively regulated by NEAT1 in EC-ESCs. The expression level of NEAT1 was evidently increased, whereas that of miR-124-3p was decreased, in the EM in vivo model, EM tissues and EC-ESCs from patients with EM. The loss-of-function assays further established that silencing of NEAT1 could inhibit EC-ESC proliferation, migration, and invasion, but it led to the promotion of apoptosis via targeting miR-124-3p. Conclusions: NEAT1 is significantly upregulated in EM, promoting malignant behavior in EM through targeting miR-124-3p expression.

        Dynamic electromagnetic force variation mechanism and energy loss of a non-contact loading device for a water-lubricated bearing

        The current predominant contact loading device has several defects (such as friction, wear, vibration, and noise) which seriously affect the accuracy of test results of waterlubricated bearings. In this study, a non-contact electromagnetic loading device was designed, and the dynamic electromagnetic force variation mechanism and energy loss were examined. First, the structures of the test-rig of a water-lubricated bearing and electromagnetic loading device were described, and mathematical models of the dynamic electromagnetic force, reluctance torque, and energy loss were constructed. Then, finite element analysis was conducted, and the variation rules of magnetic induction intensity, reluctance torque, gap flux density, and energy loss were analyzed. Finally, the test results of numerical calculation and simulation were compared. The dynamic electromagnetic force is revealed to be closely related to the speed and eccentricity of the shaft and the coil current of the electromagnet. Increasing the coil current and shaft speed nonlinearly increases the energy loss of the electromagnetic loading device.

        Distributed Target Localization with Inaccurate Collaborative Sensors in Multipath Environments

        Location-aware networks are of great importance for both civil lives and military applications. Methods based on line-of-sight (LOS) measurements suffer sever performance loss in harsh environments such as indoor scenarios, where sensors can receive both LOS and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) measurements. In this paper, we propose a data association (DA) process based on the expectation maximization (EM) algorithm, which enables us to exploit multipath components (MPCs). By setting the mapping relationship between the measurements and scatters as a latent variable, coefficients of the Gaussian mixture model are estimated. Moreover, considering the misalignment of sensor position, we propose a space-alternating generalized expectation maximization (SAGE)-based algorithms to jointly update the target localization and sensor position information. A two dimensional (2-D) circularly symmetric Gaussian distribution is employed to approximate the probability density function of the sensor's position uncertainty via the minimization of the Kullback-Leibler divergence (KLD), which enables us to calculate the expectation step with low computational complexity. Moreover, a distributed implementation is derived based on the average consensus method to improve the scalability of the proposed algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed centralized and distributed algorithms can perform close to the Monte Carlo-based method with much lower communication overhead and computational complexity.
