잠자는 미녀 퍼즐이 등장한 지 벌써 10년이 되었는데 국내 철학자들도 이에 대해 자기 견해들을 내어놓았다. 송하석과 김남중은 미녀의 대답이 1/3이어야 한다고 주장하고 김한승은 관점에 따라 1/2과 1/3이 모두 가능하다고 주장한다. 나는 이 글에서 1/2주의를 선호할 만한 논증을 제안한다. 이를 위해 미녀가 받은 물음이 첫째 물음일 확률은 엘가가 가늠한 것보다 커야 한다는 것을 논증한다. 또한 미녀가 받은 물음이 첫째 물음이라는 것을 그에게 밝혔을 경우, 동전이 앞면이 이미 나왔을 확률이 1/2보다 큰 이유를 해명한다. 하지만 동전 던지는 시점을 미녀가 처음 깨어난 후로 바꿀 경우 오히려 1/3주의 해석이 옳다는 것을 보였다. Some Korean Philosophers has manifested their opinions on Sleeping Beauty problem. For example, Hasuk Song and Namjoong Kim stands for an thirder, while Hanseung Kim for a perspectivistic compatibilist. In order to fill a vacant position, I shall make an argument for halfers in this paper. My presumption is that the probability the question now given to sleeping beauty is the first question among several is greater than thirder`s calculated value. Futhermore, I argue that the probability the coin landed heads on condition that the question now given to sleeping beauty is the first question is greater than 1/2.
Ecotoxicological evaluation for contaminated abandoned mine soils using Heterocypris incongruens

Soil contamination can be one path for stream and groundwater contamination. In this study, the toxicity of soils sampled in the vicinity of the abandoned mine located in the Gyeonggi province was evaluated using freshwater organisms Heterocypris incongruens. Two different exposure scenarios, one is in the aqueous only exposure, and the other is in the aqueous + soil exposure. The seven different soil samples were tested depending on the contamination level; reference (1 soil), moderately contaminated (4 soils) and highly contaminated (2 soils). In the toxicity tests, H. incongruens were exposed to water extracts (aqueous only exposure) and soils (aqueous + soil exposure) which were serially two-fold diluted with either EPA moderate hardwater or clean sand, respectively. After 6 days of exposure, no significant impact on the survival was found in the both systems for reference soil, while only significant impact was found in the aqueous + soil system for moderately contaminated soil. And the survival of H. incongruens was dramatically decreased with decreasing dilution series for highly contaminated soils. Interestingly, the toxicity of aqueous + soil system was higher than that of aqueous only system, implying the exposure of chemicals to H. incongruens may be a consequence of its foraging behavior onto the surface of sediment. From the results of this study, the freshwater organism H. incongruens can be used as surrogate test species to assess the soil contamination.
Temperature-dependent Life History Traits of Paranura rosea (Collembola: Neanuridae)

A new collembolan species (Paranura rosea) which was native to Korea was selected for evaluating the effect of temperature on their biology. Development, and reproduction of P. rosea were investigated at 15, 20, 25 and 30℃ Hatchability of egg was not affected by experimental temperature, and the lower threshold temperature for development of P. rosea was estimated to be 7.53℃. The temperature reduced the juvenile and adult (maturity period). The intrinsic rate of natural increase and finite rate of increase per week at 20℃ which are maximum values showed significant difference with other experimental temperatures. Survival rate, cumulative reproduction and head capsule width was fitted by several models. Especially, the model which fitted for estimating head capsule width was used to determine their life stage. Estimated head capsule width of P. rosea at the initial oviposition varied with temperature from 0.36 ± 0.007 to 0.45 ± 0.007 with maximum at 20℃ and minimum at 30℃, and significant difference was observed at all the experimental temperature (P<0.05). However, estimated head capsule width at the last oviposition showed different statistically result at only 30℃. Molting frequency per week of one P. rosea was increased as the temperature increased. Based on this study, temperature greatly influenced on their life stage and reproduction. Therefore, relationship between temperature and P. rosea is very important for understanding their biology.
FHD법에 의해 형성된 실리카 soot의 고밀화 공정에 미치는 온도의 영향

화염가수분해증착법에 의해 형성된 $0.1\mu\textrm{m}$크기의 soot를 실리콘 기판위에 형성하여 $1325^{\circ}C$에서 2시간 동안 고밀화과정후 투명한 후막을 얻을 수 있었다. 고밀화 열처리는 탈수과정, 재배열 과정, 그리고 고밀화 과정으로 구성되었다. 고밀화 공정후의 두께 수축률은 초기 soot의 96%정도였으며, 급속한 두께의 감소는 $950^{\circ}C$부터 시작되었으며, 본격적인 고밀화가 시작되는 온도는 $1250^{\circ}C$임을 알 수 있었다. soot의 TGA와 DTA를 이용한 열분석 결과 탈수과정에 의하여 9/wt%의 질량감소와 $1250^{\circ}C$이상에서 인(P)의 증발에 의한 2wt%의 질량감소를 관찰하였다. DTA곡선에서는 $500^{\circ}C$, $570^{\circ}C$. $1258^{\circ}C$에서 흡열반응 피크를 나타내는데, 이는 $B_{2}$$O_{3}$, $P_{2}$$O_{5}$ 등의 도펀트들의 melting과 실리카 입자사이의 기공이 소멸되면서 입자간의 열전도도의 증가에 의해 나타난 것으로 판단된다.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The present study aimed to purify and identify the metabolites from <I>T. atroviride</I> using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and <SUP>1</SUP>H and <SUP>13</SUP>C nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR) followed by analyzing their toxicological, antibacterial and anticancer properties. This work identified two metabolites - TM1 and TM2. TM1 was in two forms: (i) 1, 3-dione-5, 5-dimethylcyclohexane; and, (ii) 2-enone-3hydroxy −5,5-dimethylcylohex, while TM2 was 4H-1,3-dioxin-4-one-2,3,6-trimethyl. These metabolites did not exhibit any irritant or allergic reaction as revealed by HET- CAM test. TM2 significantly inhibited the growth of <I>H. pylori</I> and Shigella toxin producing <I>Escherichia coli</I> (STEC) as evident by <I>in vitro</I> and microscopic observations of bacterial cell death. TM2 also induced the cell death and cytotoxicity, as revealed by cell viability test and western blot analysis. According to microscopic, flow cytometer and western blot analysis, TM2 treated cells displayed higher ROS, cell death, and apoptosis-related protein expression than TM1 and control. This study concluded that TM2 derived from <I>T. atroviride</I> was a potential therapeutic agent for anti-prostate cancer and antibiotic agent against MDR- <I>H. pylori</I> and STEC and it is also recommended to carry out further <I>in vivo</I> animal model experiments with improved stability of the metabolites for future pharmaceutical trails.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Fungal metabolites against <I>H. pylori</I> and Shigella toxin producing <I>Escherichia coli</I> (STEC). </LI> <LI> <I>Trichoderma</I> derived metabolites exhibited the antibacterial, and anticancer activity. </LI> <LI> TM2 reported as the potential therapeutic agent against - <I>H. pylori</I>, STEC, and anti-prostate cancer. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

The purpose of this study was to discuss the required items and feasibility of medical records of radiological examinations performed by radiological technologists at medical institutions. An online survey was conducted to a total of 10,000 radiation-related workers, of which 1,026 (10.3%) responded. As a research method, self-made questionnaires were used. The online survey was conducted from September 10 to September 20, 2021 for the survey period. For response data, a Chi-square test was performed according to demographic characteristics using SPSS 27.0 version (IBM Inc., Chicago, Ill, USA), and it was judged to be significant when the P value was less than 0.05. The reliability of the questionnaire response was found to be Chronbach α=0.933. More than 90% of the medical records related to radiological examinations are necessary, and they answered that a curriculum, remuneration curriculum, and legal system for medical records should be prepared. More than 90% of the respondents agreed with the proposal of the Radiological Technologist Independent Act for legal preparation, and most of the information required for medical records is currently recorded in DICOM images. According to the demographic characteristics, the medical record requirement for radiological examination, curriculum, continuing education, and legislation were found to be higher with higher education and higher with longer working experience. In addition, most of the radiology departments showed a high demand for medical records, so most of them responded positively to the medical records requirements for radiological examinations. This study analyzed the medical record requirements for radiological examinations, and as shown in the results, medical record requirements for radiological examinations was found that most radiological technologists felt need for the new law and supported it. In addition, if the information recorded in the DICOM image is used, it is considered that medical records could be easily prepared without additional work by the radiological technologists.
