      • 都市固形廢葉物의 發生源別 性狀에 관한 硏究

        This analytical investigations was carried out to study on the characteristics of municipal solid wastes generated from various sources in Taegu city. In order to do this, the bulk of two or three days refuses was collected from Taegok landfill site in Taegu city, and seperated to respectively measure in ten kinds of compositions, such as papers, garbage, plastics, wood, briquette ash, etc., by hand-sorting. Furthermore each sample was analyzed to find out the physical properties such as moisture content, combustible material content, ignition residue and heat values.

        The purpose of the research is determination of the substrate removal efficiencies and sludge productions in complex dyeing wastewater treatment using the Fixed/Submerged Moving Media Complete Mixing Activated sludge(CMAS) process. Laboratory scale CMAS reactors were operated with the organic loading rates from 0.38 to 1.07㎏BOD/㎥/day. The sludge productions were similar in both the fixed and submerged moving media systems. During operating periods the sludge was removed periodically in fixed media system, yet not removed in submerged moving media.

      • 저온에서 혐기성 소화에 대한 온도영향

        This study was conducted to show the possibility of application of anaerobic digestion process in low temperature. Laboratory single-stage anaerobic digester was operated at 15 to 80 days' HRT at the temperature of 15℃, 20℃, 25℃ and 35℃. The results of this study indicated that the organic removal efficiencies and gas productions were remarkably decreased in low temperature. Despite of the low organic loading of 0.67 ㎏-COD/㎥·day at 15℃ the gas production was very poor as 0.16㎥CH_4/㎏COD removed. The observed maximum F/Mv ratio which would get the organic removal efficiencies of 70% and 60% respectively at the temperature of 20℃ and 15℃ were 0.1 ㎏COD/㎏MLVS·day. The substrate removal rates(Km) had a tendency to become larger at higher temperature, and were critical at the temperature of 20 to 25℃.

      • 大邱·慶北地域 産業廢棄物의 發生 및 處理現況 調査硏究

        For the effective management of industrial wastes, it is necessary to evaluate these characteristics. This analytical investigations were carried out to study on the characteristics of industrial wastes in Taegu and Kyungpook region. In order to carry out this study, the basic data were collected from Ministry of Environment, a Statistical Yearbook of Korea, and the Taegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The conclusions from this study are as follows: 1) Total number of generation companies and generation quantity of industrial wastes were 2, 199 and 7,599,913 ton/year (about 20,822 ton/day) respectively. Among them, specified and general wastes were 3.1% and 96.9% respectively. 2) The self-disposal, commission disposal and storage for industrial wastes were 56.9%, 411.1% and 2.0% respectively. 3) The future generation quantity of industrial wastes was calculated with the future production rate of generation companies. In 2005, the generation quantities of industral wastes are 16,970,832 ton/year, and the disposal requirement are 12,646,259 ton/year.

      • 망막아세포종 세포주(Y-79)의 Arylalkylamine N-acetyltransferase 활성에 미치는 Dopamine의 영향

        The arylalkylamine N-acetyltransferase(AA-NAT, EC 2.3.1.87) in vertebral pineal gland and retina is rate-limiting enzyme in the pathway of biosynthesis of melatonin. AA-NAT activities are remarkably increased during night with 10-150 folds. Neurohormone melatonin is thought to play roles in a broad range of physiological functions in human, primarily through effects on the biological clock in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of the hypothalamus, This rhythm reflects large changes in the activities of AA-NAT. So the important regulatory role of AA-NAT has made it central interest in research on melatonin biochemistry and neurochemical signal transduction. The neurotransmitter that regulates the AA-NAT activities is norepinephrine, which acts through a cyclic AMP mechanism. The effect of dopamine on AA-NAT in human retinoblastoma Y-79 cells was studied. the obtained results are as follows; AA-NAT activities in Y-79 cells were increased by cyclic AMP, and dopamine inhibited the AA-NAT activities stimulated by forskolin. The pattern of inhibition of dopamine on the AA-NAT activities in Y-79 cells was time and concentration dependent. The results suggest that dopamine participates in the regulation of the AA-NAT activities through the inhibitory mechanism in the human pineal and retinal tissues.

        정수장 급속여과지의 역세척 수위변화와 시간에 따른 세척 효율 평가

        Both surface wash and backwash are considered as one of the most important methods that can improve the filtration efficiency in the existing water treatment plant. This study has mainly focused on the improvement of filtering efficiency by controlling surface wash and backwash time, and water level before backwash (when drained up to the trough, when drained up to 10 cm above filter bed, and when drained below 10 cm filter bed). Filtration efficiency was shown a little bit of differences depending on the operating conditions like surface wash injection pressure, the distance control between filter bed and the facility, and the types of surface wash. When the water level before backwash was reached up to 10 cm below filter bed after draining, however, the filtration velocity and the turbidity removal efficiency in the filter bed was improved. When the surface wash followed by backwash is longer, it showed a similar result. Because the proper adjustment of surface washing time makes filtration efficiency higher, therefore, it is necessary to set up the backwash time moderately.

        중공사 정밀여과 MBR공정을 이용한 제직폐수의 재이용

        Submerged membrane bio-reactor equipped with a hollow fiber microfiltration was applied to reuse weaving wastewater of water jet loom, where two parameters such as the concentration of MLSS and the flux were controlled. While the flux at the concentration of MLSS around 900㎎/L was constantly kept over 0.4m/d and 0.8m/d in a short time, the stable flux at around 300㎎/L of MLSS was shown at the 8 days later. Regardless of MLSS and flux, BOO, CODcr and Turbidity of the permeate were l~2㎎/L, 7~10㎎/L and below 1 NTU, which were 85~90%, 87~90% and 98% of removal efficiency, respectively. The stable operation without fouling was achieved because the contents of ECP were smaller than those of common MBR processes and the composition(saccharide/protein) was kept constantly. In this study, 0.5~1.0m/d of flux and 400~900㎎/L of MLSS were considered as the most recommendable operating condition for the reuse of weaving wastewater.

        낙동강 소유역 경지에서의 비점오염원 물질 발생 및 배출 특성

        This study was carried out to investigate the generation and discharge characteristics of non-point pollutants from farmlands in Nak-dong river basin. Annual unit generation load of nitrogen and phosphorus by fertilization in the test paddy field was almost similar to those calculated by the fertilization standards of district agricultural technology center, but it was extremely higher in case of the test dry field. By comparing annual total generation load of nutrients from fertilization to the data of fertilizer marketing, the accurate forecasting of generation load of pollutants was achieved by marketing data. The annual total discharge ratio of nutrients through infiltration and overflow from the farmland of the test paddy field were 9.5% and 1.1%, respectively, and those in the test dry field were 22.0% and 0.1%, respectively. The monthly discharge load of nutrients were shown the highest proportioned to the discharge load from lands, but it showed higher in phosphorus, which was caused by the intermittent discharge of phosphorus accumulated in drainage.

        하부팽창형 임프란트의 유한요소 분석 및 골형성에 대한 연구

        The aim of this study was to evaluate by finite element analysis influence of investigated expanding implant on stress distribution and to observe biocompatibility, bone formation feature and change in the bone contact area around the explanding implant through experimental animal study. FEA models of the mandible were constructed based on three-dimensional graphic data of the bone structure around an osseointegrated implant, analysis of stress distribution followed by 100N vertical, 50N horizontal was done. And in the animal study, expanding implant were placed in the mandibles of eight Korean mongrel dogs and analyzed the results with histomorphometric measurements. In finite element analysis, compressive stresses are produced at the bone tissue surrounding the implant, and the contact area between the implant and the bone tissue is increased, which result in increased resistance to horizontal and vertical pressure loads. In the histomorphometric analysis, the measured ratio of the contact surface and bon density between implant and bone was similar to those of the controlled group from 6 weeks. It is thought that increased horizontal and vertical resistance is a great help to the immediate loading on expanding implant and that there needs standardizing quantitative measurement of implant stability and osseointegration to determine whether or not to use the functional loading and to reduce the total treatment period reliably by placing functional loading on each implant based on both bone quality and implant stability.
