        In this paper, we study heavy metal transport and distribution of soils around Dong-bo abandoned mine area. Inside the mine, concentration of Cd, Ca, Zn are exceeded soil management standards. Outside of mine, concentration of Pb, as is exceeded soil management standards. Especially, concentration of Pb is higher than soil protection standard of 300㎎/㎏ in S-6 point which is tailing accumulation area. Although heavy metal concentration of mine water was higher than Unsuchon, water contaminated level was lower than soil. 30cm-depth soil is serious in S-6 point, heavy metal transport had influence on Unsuchon. Further more, we used pollution index(PI) to evaluate soil contamination totally, it exceeded standard "1" in S-6 points of surface soil and 30cm-depth soil. So it decided that contamination of heavy metal is more seriously than other sampling points. In contaminated soil, pH and organic contents are lower than non-contaminated soil. Therefore heavy metal concentration has influence on adsorption and retardation of soil by pH and organic contents variation. Moisture contents also encouraged heavy metal transport velocity, but less than pH and organic contents.

        On authentication protocol used at existing mobile communication systems, there was a significant problem of user's anonymity when wireless connection was accomplished. As it used a signature confirmation of signer by a opened confirmative key, limited protocol guarantees a anonymousness of signer as possible as use of closed signature key and network renews by a part of section toward random numbers both selecting it guarantees anonymousness in wireless section line a strengthening stability than a pre-existing formula.

        일 대학 병원 마취 · 회복실 간호사의 간호활동 분석

        Purpose: This study was aimed to specify roles of nurses from the anesthesia and recovery room by analyzing nursing activities as well as anesthesia nursing during surgery. Method: The objects were 12 RNs working in the recovery room of a university hospital located in Incheon. Self-report was performed by measuring stop-watch for five days from May 17th to May 21st in 2004. Research method was designed to record the time and frequency of the nursing activity from anesthesia and recovery room based on nurses' statement and other references for five days. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and t-test via SPSS Win 10.0 program. Result: Nursing activities in anesthesia recovery room were classified into two different characteristics such as direct and indirect nursing activity. The activities consisted of 11 direct nursing areas and 39 nursing activities in anesthesia preparation room. The indirect nursing was classified into 8 nursing areas and 32 nursing activities. The direct nursing was classified into 12 nursing areas and 55 nursing activity. Also, the indirect nursing was classified into 7 nursing areas and 21 nursing activities in recovery room. In terms of prevalence of nursing activities in the anesthesia preparation room, observation and cooperation of anesthesia was the most prevalent activity, drug and eqipment management the second prevalent, and drug administration the third. On the other hand, in the recovery room, the most prevalent activity was vital sign checking and observation, the second most prevalent activity informative activity, and the third body temperature control. Nursing activity time was recorded according to the nursing characteristics. In the anesthesia preparation room, the direct nursing spent for 8092.20 minutes was larger than the indirect nursing spent for 7198.50 minutes. Also, in the recovery room, the direct nursing spent for 2361.16 minutes was larger than the indirect nursing spent for 1134.13 minutes. 4. Nursing activity time was compared to duty shifts. In the anesthesia preparation room, the direct nursing was more prevalent on day shift and the indirect nursing was prevalent on evening shift. However, in the recovery room, both direct and indirect nursing activities were prevalent on day shift. Conclusion: The role of anesthesia and recovery room nurses was analysed according to the time, frequency, and its characteristics.

      • 독성물질의 세포사 기전 및 세포사 유발물질의 검색법 개발에 관한 연구(Ⅰ) : 독성물질로 인한 파킨슨병 모델에서의 세포사 기전 연구 Study on the cell-death mechanisms of toxin-induced parkinsonism

        MPTP 독성물질이 도파민성 신경세포에 선택적으로 작용하여 산화성 손상에 의한 신경세포사를 일으키는 것을 이용하여 파킨슨병의 동물모델을 만들고, 이를 통해서 아폼토시스를 비롯한 포사의 기전에 대한 연구 및 너코틴의 신경세포 보호효과 여부를 판정하는 실험을 병행하고자 하였다. 파킨슨꾐의 동물모델을 MPTf 독성 물질을 이용하여 확립하였으며, MPTP(30mgag, i.p.)를 투여한 후 1, 2,3, 4, 5일째 흑질 조직을 채춰하여 tarm로 박걸하여 tyrosine hydroxylase 면역조직화학염색을 수행하여 cell countif우한 결과, control은 57.635ce11s, 1일째 친.OfDells,2일째 57.9±6cells,3일릴 없.3±죠ells, 4일째 49.0츠3cells, 5일째 39.4±Scells료 4, 3일째 뚜렷한 신경세포 수의 감소를 보였다. 신경세포사 기전 규명을 위한 아폼토시스 분걱에서는 벼PTP 투여 후 1, 2, 3, 4, 5일째 조직을 채취하여 Hoechst staining, TUNEL staining을 수곡하였는데 양성 반응을 보인 신경세포는 관찰되지 않아. 아폼토시스로 인한 세포사가 관찰되지 않았다. bIPTP 파킨슨병 동물모델에서 nicotine 보호효과 탐색에 관한 실험은 nicat푸e 0.2mgAg을 5일 퐁안 투여 후 리『fP(30mgag)를 CS7Bt/6 마은스에 복강 내주사로 nicotine과 병용 투여한 후 1, 2, 3, 4, 5일째 뇌를 적출하땄다. 신경세포사가 뚜렷이 관찰되기 시작하는 4, 5일째의 신경세포 수의 감소 정도를 20. 30% 정도 약화시키는 경향을 보였으나, nicotine 보호효과에 대한 추가 실헝이 현재 수행 중에 있다. The cause of Parkinson's disease (PD) is largely unknown. However, free radical toxicit? may plaf a role ip. the degeneration of substantia nigra, which is the Hajorfocus of pathological damages in PD. Recently, a neuroprotective effect of nicotine in PD has been suggested. Therefore, the mechanism of neurodegenerafion and protective potential o( nicotine in PD were investigated in the experimental modeB of Pll using a neurotoxin, C57BL/6mice were administered with 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP, 30 mg/kg,j.p.). The degree of neurodegenerafion was determined by immunohistochemical stainiHB oftyrosine hydroxylase (TH). TH-positive cells on nigral sections were found 56.0 ±4, 57.9 ±6,52.315ce11s, 49.0±3cells, and 39,4±Scells at days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, respectively (controls : 57.6±Scells). Hoechst and TUNEL staining showed no evidence of apoptosis. The exandnation on themice co-adrunistered with nicotine(0.2mgAg) and MPTP(30mgag) revealed a tendency ofnicotine protective effects. At days 4 and 5, the degree of TH-positive cells was decreased by20-30%, In corclusiffn, the role of apoptosis was not evidenced in this MPTP modeB of PB.The possible proteccon by nicotine should be elucidated with further studies.

        야간통을 주증으로 한 요추 추간판 탈출증 환자에 대한 사물탕가감방과 추나요법병행치료 증례보고

        Objectives : To report cases of HIVD of L-Spine successfully treated with Korean medical treatment including Samul-tang(Siwu-tang) Gagam. and Chuna manual treatment. Methods : Three patients diagnosed with HIVD of L-Spine were treated with Korean medical treatment including Samul-tang(Siwutang) Gagam and Chuna manual treatment. Numeric Rating Scale(NRS), Oswestry low back pain Disablility Index(ODI) scores and EQ-5D were collected before and after treatment for comparison. Results : There was a significant decrease in NRS, ODI scores.And, there was a significant increase EQ-5D. The mean NRS score decresed from 10 to 1.33, ODI from 66.66 to 8.88. Tne mean EQ-5D score incresed from 0.225 to 0.856. Conclusion : The result suggests Korean medical treatment including Samul-tang(Siwu-tang) Gagam and Chuna manual treatment can be an effective treatment on patients with HIVD of L-Spine.

      • P-130 Inhibition of autophagy by Rubicon in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

        Background: Autophagy is catabolic process used to degrade and recycle proteins and organelles for cell survival. It is well known that dysregulated autophagy impacts the pathogenesis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). We investigated the role of Rubicon (RUN domain-containing Beclin1-interacting protein) in IPF, which is a negative regulator of autophagosome maturation and endocytic pathway. Methods: We used Western blot to assess protein expression in lung tissue of IPF patients and MRC-5 (fibroblast) & BEAS-2B (epithelial cells) cells treated with 5μg/ml TGF-β1. We performed immunoprecipitation (IP) with Rubicon antibody to evaluate the interaction of UVRAG and Rab7. Rubicon was down-regulated using siRNA to assess its role in MRC-5 & BEAS-2B cells. Results: The levels of Rubicon was significantly increased in lung tissues of IPF patients compared with those of normal lung. Interestingly, the expression of Rubicon was higher in lung tissue of IPF non-survivors than in those of survivors. Treatment with TGF-β1 for 2 h increased the level of Rubicon and recruited UVRAG and Rab7 into Rubicon in MRC-5 & BEAS-2B cells. The Rubicon siRNA reduced increased expression levels of collagen & α-SMA treated with TGF-β1 in BEAS-2B & MRC-5 cells. Conclusion: We found that Rubicon was increased in tissues from IPF patients and MRC-5 & BEAS-2B cells treated with by TGF-βb1, which may contribute to suppression of autophagy in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

        Molecular regulation of kidney development

        Genetically engineered mice have provided much information about gene function in the field of developmental biology. Recently, conditional gene targeting using the Cre/loxP system has been developed to control the cell type and timing of the target gene expression. The increase in number of kidney-specific Cre mice allows for the analysis of phenotypes that cannot be addressed by conventional gene targeting. The mammalian kidney is a vital organ that plays a critical homeostatic role in the regulation of body fluid composition and excretion of waste products. The interactions between epithelial and mesenchymal cells are very critical events in the field of developmental biology, especially renal development. Kidney development is a complex process, requiring inductive interactions between epithelial and mesenchymal cells that eventually lead to the growth and differentiation of multiple highly specialized stromal, vascular, and epithelial cell types. Through the use of genetically engineered mouse models, the molecular bases for many of the events in the developing kidney have been identified. Defective morphogenesis may result in clinical phenotypes that range from complete renal agenesis to diseases such as hypertension that exist in the setting of grossly normal kidneys. In this review, we focus on the growth and transcription factors that define kidney progenitor cell populations, initiate ureteric bud branching, induce nephron formation within the metanephric mesenchyme, and differentiate stromal and vascular progenitors in the metanephric mesenchyme.
