        부산지역 일부 산업장 근로자들의 유병률에 관한 연구

        1993년 1월 1일부터 1995년 12월 31일까지 부산시내 324개 사업장 16,453명의 근로자를 대상으로 성별, 연령별, 업종별 유병률을 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 조사대상자의 성별 비는 1.9:1.0이고 평균 연령은 남자가 43±17세, 여자는 38±15세로 나타났다. 전체 대상자 16,453명중 1,932명 (11.7%)이 질병을 앓고있는 사람이며 남자가 1,521명 (14.0%), 여자가 411명 (7.3%)으로 나타났다. 성별에 따른 유병률은 폐결핵, 간장질환, 소음성 난청은 남자가 여자보다 유의하게 높았고 빈혈증, 유기용제 중독은 여자가 남자보다 유의하게 높았다 (p<0.001). 연령별 유병률은 29세 미만과 30∼39세, 40∼49세에서 간장질환이 높았고 50세 이상에서 순환계 질환이 높았다 (p<0.001). 업종별 유병률은 전기 건설업, 신발 고무제조업에서 순환계 질환이 가장 높았고 1차금속, 운수 정비업, 섬유 피혁, 화학 석유제조업, 기타 제조업에서 간장질환이 가장 높게 나타났다. 음료 및 식료품 제조업과 기계제조업에 종사하는 사람은 소음성 난청이 가장 높았다. 근무 기간별 유병률은 연중독을 제외한 모든 질환에서 근무기간이 길수록 높았다 (p<0.001). This study was performed to investigat the prevalence rates disease in industrial workers (16,453) in Pusan city from Jan. 1, 1993 to Dec. 31, 1995. The results were as follows: The male to female ratio was 1.9:1.0 and average age was 43±17 in male, 38±15 in female of subjects. The percentage value of patients was 14.0% in male, 7.4% in female of total patients 1,932 (11.0%). The prevalence rates of pulmonary tuberculosis, hepatic disease, and occupational hearing loss were significantly increased in male than females (p<0.001). But anaemia and organic solvent poisonings significantly increased in females than males (p<0.001). The prevalence rates of hepatic disease increased significantly in below 29, 30-39 and 40-49 age groups, that of cardiovascular disease increased significantly in the age group over 50 years (p<0.001). According to industrial types, the prevalence rate of cadiovascular disease increased in electricity and constration and shoes and rubber in disease, there of hepatic disease increased in primary metal, transportation and maintenance and other industrial, those of occupational hearing loss in drink and food and machinery. The prevalence rate of disease increased significantly long working duration in all diseases except lead poisoning.

      • 사람 백혈병 암세포의 증식에 미치는 Berberine의 저해효과

        Background : The isoquinoline alkaloid berberine is widely distributed in a variety of plants, especially in the genera Berberis and Coptis. The berberine, an alkaloid initially isolated from Chinese herbal medicine, has antibiotic activities against a variety of organisms including bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoans, and chlamydia. Furthermore, berberine has shown a number of beneficial effects, including anti-tumor, anti-inflammation, and vasodilatory effects. Materials and Methods : In this work we have investigated the effects of berberine on cytotoxic activity against cancer cells. The direct cytotoxicity of berberine or berberine-combined chemotherapeutic agents for human leukemia cells K-562 was observed. Results: The effect of growth inhibition for cancer cells, K-562 was shown in the cytotoxicity test of berberine or berberine-combinated chemotherapeutic agents. Conclusion: These findings suggest that berberine shows tumor cell growth inhibition. These results show the probability of its usefulness for cancer therapy if more research results were accumulated.

      • Capsaicin이 마우스에서 전염증성 사이토카인의 생성에 미치는 효과

        Background : Capsaicin, the main pungent ingredient in hot peppers, is considered to exhibit anti-inflammatory properties. In the present study, we investigated the effects of capsaicin on the production of the proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 in mice. Methods : The culture supernatants of splenocytes exposed to capsaicin alone or capsaicin plus LPS, Con A, or PHA-P were harvested to assay TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 production. Results : The TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 in the culture supernatants of mice splenocytes exposed to capsaicin were increased compared to DMSO control. The IL-1β in the culture supernatants of mice splenocytes exposed to capsaicin + LPS or PHA-P were lower than those of the groups exposed to LPS alone. The IL-6 in the culture supernatants of mice splenocytes exposed to capsaicin + LPS were lower than those of the groups exposed to LPS alone. Conclusioons : These findings demonstrate that capsaicin downregulates the production of the proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-6 in the LPS-exposed conditions

        Microwave Absorption Characteristics of U-Type Ferrite Powders According to Substitution Elements and Its Compositions

        In this study, partially substituted U-type ferrite (Ba4MexCo2-xFe36O60, Me: Mn, Ni, Zn, x=0.5 and 1.0) powders weresynthesized by sol–gel method. The powders were analyzed for phase formation, morphology and magnetic properties byXRD, FE-SEM and VSM respectively. The synthesized ferrite powders were pressed into a series of toroidal shaped samples,in which the weight ratio of parafn to powder was 1:5. The complex scattering parameters were measured by using vectornetwork analyzer in the frequency range of 2–18 GHz and were employed in the calculation of refection loss with variousthicknesses. The minimum refection loss was observed in the substituted nickel sample as−24.4 dB (absorption rate 99.6%)with a thickness of 2.5 mm and the bandwidth was achieved 4.8 GHz (from 7.5 to 12.3 GHz) for refection loss≤ −10 dBin the substituted zinc sample.

      • 항응고제 치료와 연관된 자발성 근육내 혈종

        항응고제 치료의 주된 합병증은 출혈로서 주로 뇌실질과 복강 내에 발생하며 사지 근육에 발생하는 근육내 혈종은 매우 드문 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 항응고제 치료 후 발생하는 자발성 근육내 혈종은 발생빈도가 드물 뿐 아니라, 심부정맥혈전증과 그 증상이 유사하여 감별하기가 쉽지 않다. 저자들은 항응고제 치료 후 운동 마비가 발생한 사지 근육에서 자발성 근육내 혈종이 발생한 증례를 경험하여 이를 보고한다. Spontaneous intramuscular hematoma(SIH) is an uncommon but serious bleeding complication of anticoagulation therapy that has received little attention. We present a patient of spontaneous muscular hematoma during anticoagulation therapy for acute stroke management. A-74-year old man was admitted with sudden onset of dysarthria and left hemiparesis. Brain MRI and MRA showed acute cerebral infarction along right middle cerebral artery territory and severe stenosis of right proximal cervical internal carotid artery. During intravenous heparin treatment, he complained acute pain and swelling on left leg. Muscular CT showed enhancing focal soft tissue mass on left gastrocnemius muscle and ultrasonography demonstrated multiple hematomas on left gastrocnemius muscle. Treatment of heparin was stopped immediately. After conservative management for hematomas, symptoms were subsided.

      • 比較憲法에 관한 硏究 : 民主主義國家의 憲法과 共産主義國家의 憲法을 中心으로

        This paper aims to make clear the fundamental differences between the constitutions of two political systems, constitutional democracy and communism. (1) Fundamental Human Rights The recognition and the protection of fundamental liberties are the essences of the political system of constitutional democacy. The reality of individual liberties is the only reliable criterion that differentiates the two political systems, since the institutional apparatus of both government, assemblies, elections, parties, bureaucracies have become stereotyped to the point of identity. Recognition or nonrecognition of fundemental guaranties are closely related to the ideological telos of either system. In the constitutional democracy they crystallize the supreme values of human self-realization and dignity. In the communist states they are denied legitimacy not only because they may function as foci of opposition against monolithic power but also because they could obstruct the ideology of economic planning under collectivism. The idelolgical foundation and functional purpose of classical fundamentalism underwent a fa -reaching transformation in the Marxian society. The Russian Revolution preaches and practices the primacy of the collectivity over the individual. Instesd of being "inalienable" interpreted as obligations of the state toward the laboring masses. The attitude of Marxism in the U.S.S.R. and the so-called "People's Democracies" toward fundamental liberties is altogether different. All constitutions in the Soviet orbit contain elaborate statements on fundamental rights of the citizens, characteristically coupled with provisions concerning their duties toword the state and the community. Civil liberties in the classical sense, which the constitution of communist states merely summarizes, are overshadowed by the new social and economic rights. The guaranty of the civil rights proper is hedged in by the rubber clause that they are guaranteed " in conformity with the interests of the working class" and "in order to strenghthen the socialist system". Especially political rights of the suffrage are converted into compulsory mass participation in the political process directed by the party hierarchy. And its single party (communist party)was the straight negation of all political liberty. (2) Patterns of Governament In the modern democratic-constitutional state the essence of the power process consists in the attempt to establish an equilibrium between the various competitive plural forces within in state society, with due regard to the free unfolding of the human personality. In communist state, social control and political power are monopolized by a single power holder, subordinating the individual to the ideological requirements of the group domination the state. The basic difference between the two political systema conists in whether, in the various stages of the governmental process, political power, is distributed among and shared by several independent power holders or whether political power is concentrated in and monoploized by a single power holder, be it an individual person, and assembly, or a party. Assembly government system revived in the Stalin constitution of 1936 in the U.S.S.R. from where it spread, after the Second World War, to all satellite states, as well as East Germany, Red China, North Korea. No communist state fails to conform to this standard pattern. Assembly government, by its own biological laws. easily transforms itself into a regime in which a single power holder exercises the monopoly of political power. This may well be the intrinsic reason for the communist preference. By necessity the communist state is a plice state. Another indispensable instrument of social control is the single party. The governmental techniques of a communist regime are necessarily authoritarian. But the regime does much more than exclude the power addressees from their legitimate share in the formation of the will of the state. It attempts to mold the private life, the soul, the spirit and the mores of the citizens to a dominant ideology that the various instrumentalities of the power process force on the non-conformists.

      • 표면 플라즈몬 공명 신호의 증폭을 위한 새로운 금 콜로이드 센서칩 제조와 특성 연구

        New gold colloidal film sensor chips were employed to enhance the sensitivity of the Surface Plasmon Resonce (SPR). Au collodal solutions were synthesized, and Au colloidal films were fabricated by immobilization of colloid on vacuum deposited Au film through the coupling agent of 1,8-diaminooctane. Specific interaction of human IgG antibody to human antigen was monitored by in situ SPR measurement from both a smooth and a Au colloidal films. Au colloidal film sensor chips resulted in 27 % enhancements effect for the same reaction on SPR angle shifts compared to a smooth Au film.

      • Oxytocin의 家兎 赤血球膜의 Na-K-ATPase 活性度에 미치는 影響

        Na-K-ATPase, which is activated by Na+ and K- at physiological concentrations, have a high ability for sodium and potassium transport and material transport through the cell membrane. And the activity of this enzyme is specifically inhibited by ouabain. Oxy -locin is a neurohormone to be secreted from the posterior pituitary gland. And it is used widely in the clinical field as a agent for the onset or maintenance of labor and as a stimulant for the milk ejection. Also this hormone causes antidiuretic effect as a continous intravenous infusion. This suggested that oxytocin may have any effect on the material transport through the cell membrane. So, this study was attempted to investigate the effect of oxytocin on the activity of Na-K-ATPase in the red cell ghosts of rabbits. The red cell ghosts were purified by the method of Rosenberg and Guicotzi, and the amount of t Ic decomposed inorganic phosporus, that is the indicator of Na-K-ATPase activity, was measured by the method of Fiske and Subbarow. The results were summarized as follows l. The activity of Na-K-ATPase of the control group was 3.03±0.36 μM Pi/g protein/l0 min. 2. The activities of ATPases were showed a tendency to inhibit by the dosage of oxytocin 0.5 I.U., but it was not significant except total ATPase activity(p<0.05). 3. The activities of total ATPase and Na-K-ATPase were significantly inhibited by the dosage of oxytocin 1.0 1.U. (p<0.05 and p<0.001).

        Mobile nodes in ad hoc mobile networks typically communicate over wireless channels and are capable of movement. These are networks that support multihop communication and can be formed on a temporary basis. This paper proposes a solution that allows mobile nodes to access the wired Internet and to roam from base station to base station. And we also develop the efficient method that adapts in Global MANET which can be changed over time. It is observed that we can reduce not only error detection time but also network load, thus increasing the data reception rate in Global MANET Environment.
