        This paper presents a new magneto-thermal finite element analysis for predicting the temperature rise of the EHV GIS bus bar. The power losses of a bus bar calculated by the magnetic field analysis are used as the input data to predict the temperature rise for the thermal analysis. The heat-transfer coefficients on the boundaries are analytically calculated by applying the Nusselt number considering material constant and model geometry for the natural convection. The temperature distribution in a bus bar by coupled magneto-thermal finite element analysis shows good agreement with the experimental data.

        The vacuum interrupter operated by permanent magnet actuator(PMA) gives outlook on improved characteristic, higher reliability and cost price reduction as well as the feature of simple structure and few component. For the anlysis and design of permanent magnetic actuator, not only electric, magnetic and mechanical phenomena but also material properties should be taken into account. Aim of the present paper is modeling of permanent magnet actuator(PMA) used in medium voltage distribution systems and remodeling by permanent magnetic. Coupled finite element method is used to analysis the modeling and we compared with previous PMA model and improved PMA model.

        한국인의 치아우식 조절에 관한 연구 : Ⅲ. 만경강 유역 주민의 뇨중 불소농도, 반상치 지수에 관한 연구 STUDY ON THE RELATION BETWEEN THE URINARY FLUORIDE CONCENTRATIONAND THE FLUOROSIS INDEX OF RESIDENTS IN MANKYUNG RIVER VALLEY

        This experiment was conducted to elucidate the relation between the urinary fluoride concentration and the fluorosis index of residents in Mankyung River valley, especially in 3 areas (Yookang-ri, Koje·Yoochun, Shinbok·Yongkang) with high fluoride concentration in drinking water. The urinary fluoride concentration was measured by fluoride ion electrode, and dental fluorosis was surveyed and analysed by Dean and McKay's and Horowitz's method. 1. There was no reletionship between the urinary fluoride concentration and age. 2. 11-20 years age groups has revealed the highest fluofosis index. In this group : 3. There showed a parallel relationship between the fluorosis index and the urinary fluoride concentration. 4. DMF rates of residents in Yookang-ri, Koje and Shinbok are 59.2, 48.4 and 47.1%, respectively. 5. There showed a parallel relationship between the years of residence within 8 years after birth and the fluorosis index.

        Hollow fiber reactor is used as hollow fiber bioreactors for cells and enzymes, reverse osmosis, artificial kidney and uranium extraction. Agish has shown experimentally the existence of flow nonuniformity among the embedded fibers. Recently a numerical method to calculate the velocity distribution in the module without ultrafiltration and the nonuniformity was verified experimentally. In this study the pressure drop in the tube with ultrafiltration was investigated to develop the computational algorithm for the nonuniformity in the module with ultrafiltration. The Hagen Poiseuille equation which has been used to calculate the pressure drop in the tube was not proper in this system and the pressure was increased with the extent of ultrafiltration.

        To obtain high quality fish oil and feedstuff from by-product of squid processing, especially squid viscera, the raw materials should be freshed and have low lipid oxidation. In addition, the lipid content in stickwater produced from raw squid viscera by centrifuging should be low level. We investigated on processing acceptability for viscera in domestic and exotic squids to prepare a feed for mandarin fish. Lipid oxidation in domestic squid viscera occured less than that in exotic squid one. It assumed that exotic squid was stored at higher temperature condition and for longer time, compared to domestic squid. The free amino acids content in domestic squid viscera was higher than that in exotic squid one. The domestic squid viscera was more acceptable as feed material for mandarin fish than exotic squid one.

      • 멸치젓의 呈味成分

        멸치젓의 呈味成分에 관한 기초자료를 얻고자 생멸치와 이를 原料로 하여 제조된 멸치젓 중의 核酸關聯物質, 유리아미노산, betaine, TMAO, TMA 및 總creatinine을 分析하였다. 核酸關聯物質 중 생멸치에서는 IMP가 乾物量基準으로 2.8 μmole/g로 가장 많았으나 멸치젓에서는 hypoxanthine이 4.2 μmole/g으로 가장 많았고 , ATP는 흔적량에 불과 하였다. 멸치젓 중의 유리아미노산 중 함량이 많은 것은 leucine, isoleucine, phenylalanine, lysine, tyrosine, alanine, histidine, valine, methionine의 順이었고 glycine, proline, glutamic acid, arginine, threonine, serine 등은 함량이 적었다. 그리고 全유리아미노산은 젓갈 숙성중생원료에 비하여 약 2배로 增加 하였다. Betaine 은 생멸치 및 멸치젓 중에 各各 10.2㎎/100g, 30.0㎎/100/g였으며 이들이 엑스分室素에 대한 比率은 各各 0.6% 및 1.2%였다. TMAO 含量은 생멸치가 13.9㎎/100g, 멸치젓이 9.0㎎/100g였으며 TMA 含量은 各各 22.7㎎/100g 및 30.9㎎/100g였다. 總 creatinine 含量은 생멸치 및 멸치젓에서 各各 433.1㎎/100g, 575.8㎎/100g로서 엑스分室素에 대해 27.2% 및 22.8%였다. Omission test 結果 멸치젓의 呈味成分으로서는 유리아미노산 및 核酸關聯物質이 중요한 구실을 한다는 것을 알았다. This study was conducted to evaluate the taste compounds of fermented anchovy. The contents of such compounds as nucleotides and their related compounds, free amino acids, betaine, TMAO and total creatinine raw and fermented anchovy were analysed. The contents of IMP in raw anchovy appeared higher than other nucleotides and tended to decrease rapidly during fermentation. Therefore, in the case of fermented anchovy, hypoxanthine was abundant and IMP was very low in content. In the free amino acid composition of fresh samples abundant amino acids were leucine, isoleucine, phenylalanine, lysine, tyrosine, alanine, histidine, valine, methionine in order. Such amino acids as glycine, proline, glutamic acid, arginine, threonine and serine were poor in content. The contents of total free amino acids reached approximately about two times as compared with that of raw sample. The amount of betaine and TMA increased, while TMAO decreased during fermentation. The content of total creatinine in raw and fermented anchovy was occupied 22.8% and 27.2% of total of extractive nitrogen, respectively. As the results of omission test, the taste-active compounds of fermented anchovy are assumed to be free amino acids and nucleotides.

        불소 중독증의 화학적 및 구조적 연구

        Residents in areas where drinking water contains high fluoride concentration were studied in this report. Residents were examined for fluorosis index and their teeth were collected for further study. Teeth were divided into 4 groups according to the length of exposed period to high-fluoride-content drinking water and analysed for mineral contents. Dean and McKay's and Horowitz's methods were used to determine fluorosis index. Contents and concentration of calcium, phosophorus and fluoride in dental hard tissues were determined by electron microprobe with serial 17 ㎛ increment in depth. From analysis of the results of this study, it appears that : 1. 44.2% of residents in these areas were revealed to have dental fluorosis and major proportion of them had moderate degree of dental fluorosis. 2. There was no significant difference in contents of Ca, P and their ratio (Ca/P) in the whole depth of enamel. 3. Highest fluoride concentration was found in the surface portion of enamel and the content of fluoride in enamel appeared to increase with increased period of exposure to high-fluoride-content drinking water. 4. Content of fluoride was higher in cervical enamel than cuspidal enamel, but there was no difference in the content of Ca, P and their ratio (Ca/P). 5. Carious dentin contained lower content of Ca than normal dentin but fluoride concentration was very high even to the deeper portion of dentin.

        Mineral analyses of water samples from several areas of the Mankyung River and the Dongjin River regions in Chonrabukdo where dental fluorosis was observed, which had been conducted between June in 1978 and January in 1979, have shown the following results. In general, the mean calcium concentrations were high in the areas where the mean concentrations of phosphorus and fluoride were low. And in the same area where dental fluorosis was particularly observed, seasonally a few minerals were variable─namely, calcium, phosphorus, and fluoride. Those samples of high fluoride concentration have higher phosphorus concentration, but calcium concentrations were the opposite phenomenon. Particularly, fluoride concentrations were remarkably greater during the cold season(January) than during the rainy season(July).

        These studies were performed in an effort to elucidate the relation between dental fluorosis and several minerals which are contained in drinking water in the regions of the high fluorosis index. The water samples were collected from several regions around the Mankyung River in Chonrabukdo where high fluorosis index was observed in the pupils and from the control regions where dental fluorosis were not reported. The contents were analyzed by means of spectrophotometry for phosphorus, fluoride ion activity for fluoride, and atomic absorption spectrophotometry for calcium, magnesium and manganese. The calcium concentrations of drinking waters collected from the regions where high degree of dental fluorosis was appeared were lower than those of control regions. The phosphorus concentrations in the regions of high fluorosis index were very high, and the fluoride concentrations were remarkably greater than those of control regions. There was regional change in the magnesium concentrations of drinking water collected from the regions of the high dental fluorosis and control regions. But manganese concentrations showed markedly high regional variation.

      • 해수에서 분리한 Vibrio sp. M-96 균주의 열감수성 alkaline phosphatase 성질

        A thermolabile alkaline phosphatase has been purified through steps of osmotic shock, ammonium sulfate salting-out, and DEAE-cellulose chromatography from the cultured broth of the marine Vibrio sp. M-96 strain. The optimal temperature for the enzyme activity was 35℃. The optimal pH was pH 11.0, and the range of pH stability was pH 10.4 to 12.0. Thermal inactivation occured within 6 minutes at 60℃. The enzyme was considerably inactivated by 0.1mM concentrations of Hg^2+, Ni^2+ and Zn^2+, whereas activated up to 234% by 1mM of Mn^2+. The activation energy and deactivation energy by the Arrhenius equation were 4.02 Kcal/mol and 9.09 Kcal/mol, respectively. The Km and Vmax values of the enzyme for p-nitrophenylphosphate were found to be 0.0465mM and 0.001335mM/min. respectively. Active from of the enzyme had a molecular weight of 57,000 dalton determined by the Sephadex G-200 gel filtration method.
