        중증 허혈성 지체질환 환자에서 시행된 vascular endothelial growth factor의 혈관신생 유전자치료 1예

        저자 등은 기존의 치료에 반응하지 않은 중증 허혈성 지체질환 환자를 대상으로 하여 vascular endothelial growth factor를 이용한 혈관신생 유전자 치료를 시행하였다. 치료 후 환자의 허혈에 의한 하지 통증이 현격하게 감소하고 상처의 진행이 측부혈관이 많이 증가됨이 관찰되어 이에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. We report VEGF-induced angiogenic gene therapy in a patient with critical limb ischemia, who did not respond to conventional treatment. This patient was the first case in a dose-escalating series of phase I clinical trial. The patient had severe resting pain, gangrene and diffuse ulcer in his left foot. Total 1,000㎍ of naked DNA encoding human VEGF165 was administered intramuscularly to 8 sites of the loft lower extremity. Four weeks after the first 1,000㎛ was administered to the same sites (total dose: 2,000㎛). After gene therapy, resting pain gradually reduced and the amount of analgesics taken by the patient decreased. The ischemic wound of lower extremity slightly improved. However, there was no complete wound healing at 12 weeks of treatment. Digital subtraction angiography at 12 weeks after gene therapy showed an increase in collateral vessels at the mid-tibial, ankle and foot arch levels. Immediately and up to 12 weeks, there was no complication related to gene therapy. These findings may be cautiously interpreted to indicate that intramuscular injection of naked plasmid DNA of VEGF_165 may induce therapeutic angiogencsis in a patient with critical limb ischemia. Further clinical evaluation of VEGF-induced gene therapy is needed to evaluate the safety and efficiency of this treatment.(Korean J Med 64:85-90, 2003)

      • 내구성을 고려한 표면피복재의 성능평가에 관한 실험적 연구

        It is recognized that reinforcement corrosion is the main distress behind the present concern regarding concrete durability. The basic method to prevent reinforcement corrosion is coating the reinforcement concrete with surface coating materials but evaluating their performance is necessary to the work satisfactory because they have different performance for each other. In this study. to evaluate performance of surface coating materials, we compare their properties in terms of sticking strength and permeability of carbonation, chloride ion and water with actual reinforcement corrosion under environment of complex deterioration. The results showed that an increase in age also decreases Carbonation velocity coefficients, increases Chloride ion diffusion coefficients and increases water absorption coefficients. As well, an increase in age also increases corrosion of reinforcement due to permeability of carbonation and chloride ion. And sticking strength of inorganic coating material is higher than organic coating material.

      • PVA-ECC를 활용한 Half PC 복합체의 역학적 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

        ECC represents one particular class of HPFRCC, which are defined by an ultimate strength higher than their first cracking strength and the formation of multiple cracking during the inelastic deformation process. This study is to provide the fundamental data for the development of hybrid construction method such as the half PC(Precast concrete) reinforced by PVA-ECC, the mechanical properties of half PC according to the alteration of properties of PVA-ECC in terms of the type of fiber, Vr, S/M, placing height of PVA-ECC, are experimentally investigated. As the results. it is found that the half PCs of PVA-ECC have very higher mechanical performance in terms of yield load, strain capacity beyond yield point and maximum flexural load than that of mortar. Also, flexural crack in the half PCs of PVA-ECC are not localized at first crack and are growed to many micro crack, especially multiple cracking in specimen of P(12)-30-0.1ㆍ3 occurred.

      • A Sequential Algorithm for Finding Restricted D-Optimal Designs

        Experimental situations where replicate values of x are not feasible and the design space is restricted to N equally spaced pints are considered. Under these restrictions D-optimal designs for selecting the n distinct values of x in polynomial regression models are investigated. A sequential algorithm is developed and its performance is evaluated for small values of N and n where the restricted D-optimal designs can be found by an exhaustive search algorithm. The sequential algorithm gives excellent performance for the cases considered both in terms of efficiency and computing time.

        김천산 자두의 성분과 그 특성

        Physicochemical properties and chemical compositions of two plums (Oishiwase, Formosa) produced in Kimcheon area were investigated. Chemical compositions of two plum cultivars were similar except nitrogen free extract(NFE). NFE value of Formosa was higher than Oishiwase. Alcohol insoluble substance content, total soluble pectin, total sugar content and total organic acid content of Oishiwase were 2.08%. 14,16%, 5.07% and 949.16mg%, respectively. In case of Formosa cultivar, those were 50%, 15.42%, 5.91% and 985.91mg%, respectively. Fructose content among free sugars of two plum cultivars range from 3.97~3.45% and the other were glucose, sucrose and inositol, 1.83~1.53%, 0.08~0.05% and 0,04~0.039%, respectively. Malic acid content was 35~373mg% and others were levulinic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, succinic acid and fumaric acid in the decreasing order.

        Treadmill 운동부하시 비만중년 여성의 유산소능력, 심근산소소비 및 심전도 ST의 변화

        The purpose of this study was to examine changes in aerobic capacity, MV´O_2, and ST segment at electrocardiography during treadmill exercise. Forty-six obese women, ranged in age from 40s-50s yr, were divided into four groups; 1) Contorl group 1(N=10, body fat < 35%), 2) Cotrol group 2(N=12, 25 < body fat <30%), 3) obese group 1(N=11, 30% < body fat <35%), and 4) Obese group 2(N=13, 35% < body fat). The findings of this study were as follows. 1. Subjects with higher percent of body fat showed lower LBM and percent of body fluid. 2. Every group showed a significant increase in HR after one minute of exercise, and gradual increase in HR during the first 2 of 3minutes of exercise. Increase in heart rate of obese group 2 was higher that that of other groups during exercise. 3. The blood pressure of obese groups both at rest and during exercise was higher than that of control group. 4. There was no big difference in V´O_2 between four groups at rest and before 5 minutes of exercise. After 5 minutes of exercise, V´O_2 of obese group 2 increased significantly. Subjects who had higher percent of body fat showed lower V´O_2max. 5. There was no big difference in energy expenditure between four groups at rest of during 5 minutes exercise. After 5 minutes of exercise, energy expenditure was significantly increased in obese group 2. 6. The MV´O_2 of each groups after one minute of exercise increased twice or more than that of the same group at rest. The MV´O_2 of obese groups was larger than that of control groups. 7. The Regression equations between HR per minute and SBP, V´O_2 and MV´O_2 were obtained from the study. The Regression equations of HR per minute was significantly correlated to SBP, V´O_2, and MV´O_2. 8. The ST level of each group. during exercise, decreased approximately 50% of the same group at rest, while the ST slope increased approximately twice of three times of the same group at rest. The study found two interesting facts: firstly, LBM and body fluid were inversely proportional to percent of body fat. Furthermore, there was a small difference between control groups and obese group 1, while big difference existed between control groups and obese group 2. It is noted that BP, V´O_2, and MV´O_2. could be measured only from HR per minute using regression equations. Moreover, ST level decreases while ST slope increases.

        Hypertext를 이용한 교수-학습자료 개발 및 실행 방안에 관한 연구 : 고등학교 공통과학 (화학부문)을 중심으로 Based on High School Common Science (Department of Chemistry)

        The necessity of the internet-aided instruction, and the advantages and restrictions of it were widely investigated as theoretical background, and the general principle of designing the instruction, model of procedure in science class, practical design of the internet-aided instruction procedure of it's development and effective approach of web design. On the basis of the above, experiment contents of 10 units in highschool common science (department of chemistry)were reconstructed, and deployment plan for teaching-learning guidance papers for experiments, reports of experiments, individualized problem for evaluation, self-learning references, guidance papers for teaching, figure files for forming concepts and principles were made. Experimental unit of chemical reaction speed which is difficult for the first grade highschool students is established, and it is made a form of CD-ROM title with animation and presentation techniques. As a result, Learning environment which raised learner's motivation was presented. Further more, based on web instruction model and instruction design principle for learning with internet, teaching-learning home page with HTML was made.

      • 은 및 망간 산화물에 의한 일산화탄소의 촉매 산화 연구

        This study concerns the catalytic oxidation of carbon monoxide with 26 kinds of Ag-oxide, MnO_2 and their mixtures at room temperature. From the results the following phenomena were obtained. 1. Simple Ag-oxide or MnO_2 samples were not favorable to the oxidation of carbon monoxide. 2. The Ag_2O, AgO and MnO_2 mixtures(10 : 90 or 20 :80) were observed more powerful catalyzer for carbon observed more powerful catalyzer for carbon monoxide oxidation. 3. The oxidized samples of Ag-Mn premixture with several oxidants were also weaker catalyzer than the simple mixtures. 4. The AgMnO_4 and Ag-Mn-Oxides prepared by electroytic oxidation method also acted poorly as the catalytic oxidants. 5. Ag_2O and MnO_2 were not found out the structure change but AgO is changed oxidation state and heat evolved during the treatment. 6. The γ-MnO_2 are more superior catalyzer than the β-MnO_2 for catalytic oxidation of carbon monoxide.

      • Front-Hand Spring 動作分析

        The purpose of this study is to analyze in Front Handpring motion with cinematography. The left side views of a expert gymnastic performer was filmed at 70.4 frames per second by a 16mm high speed camera, with the white marks pointing each to wrist(stulion), elbow(rabiale), shoulder(akromion), head(parietale), hip(greater trochater), knee(tibiale), and ankle(sphyrion). Each frame of these films was analized with the motion analyzer, Nac. sportias Moder 100. The result was as follow ⅰ) Trace of the body joint is the Figure-3,4,5,6,7. ⅱ) Stick diagram of the body joint is the Figure-8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15. ⅲ) From hand landing to kicking, the angle of the leg at the hip joint, was 40 degree. ⅳ) During the kicking, the angle of the front leg and back leg being widen. at 70°,90°,120°, after kicking it being closed from 120°to 60°,30°,15°. ⅴ) Kicking makes angular moment greater. ⅵ) The height of the hip joint during the handspring was about 118.75cm from the surface. ⅶ) The range of handspring from hopping to landing covers about 3m distance.
