Objecives: Hedyotis diffusa is used to treat cancer in traditional Korea Medicine. So this study was carried out to examine the expression of cell cycle related genes in HL-60 cells undergoing apoptosis by the methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa. Methods: 1. HL-60 cells were treated with various concentrations (from 200 to 50㎍/ml)of metnanol extract and H20 extract (200 ㎍/ml) of hedyotis diffusa. After 48 h later, the cells were tested for viability by MTT assay. 2. The HL-60 cells were treated with 200 ㎍/ml of methanol extract for the indicated periods. The whole cell lysates were prepared and analyzed by westem blotting using anti-p53 antibody. 3. The nuclear extract were prepared and analyed by western blotting using anti-p21 antibody, anti-p27 antibody, anti-cyclen A antibody, anti-cylin E antibody and anti-CDK2 antinbody. Results: 1. The methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa induced the death of HL-60 cells in a dose dependent manner. 2. The methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa makedly decreased the level of p21/Cipl and cyclin A in a time dependent manner. 3. The methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa markedly increased tje ;eve; pf p27/Kip and cyclin E in a time dependent mammer. 4.The methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa markedly did not affect the level of CDK2. Conclusions: These results provide evidence that expression of cell cycle related genes in HL-6- cells undergoing apoptosis by the methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa mainly results from decreased level of p21/cipl and increased level of p27/Kipl of the cell cycle related genes.

I have analised the literary sense and indirect force of utterance according to Gricean Maxims and Searle's Indirect Speech Act. Grice explained the relationship between what is said and what is implicated in terms of cooperative principles. Implicature can be derived from the utterance with the help of reasonable cooperative maxims and background knowledge in the contexts. Searle's indrirect illocutionary act makes much progress in explaining the human communication principles. In Searle's theory, the role of politeness is acknowledged, but he hasn't systematised it. Searle's indirect speech act seems to maintain Gricean cooperative principles, but it isn't cooperative in the maxim of quality and maxim of manner. When the maxim of politeness is to be added, it will be cooperative. The explanation of implicature about the literary sense and speech act effect can be made in terms of speech act, cooperative principles, background knowledge of context, inference and politeness.

In this study, in order to make up its drawbacks in the MCM-41 catalytic system, platinum metals was doped in MCM-41. To confirmed MCM-41 structure investigations of XRD,N2 Adsorption-Desorption Isotherm, and B.E.T.surface areas were examined. Additionally NO-TPD and Simulated Flue Gases Mixing & Acitivity Test were peformed.According to Specific character of platinum metal, NO reduction activity was favored in low temperature range less than 300℃ and More Activity was obtained when platinum was doped over aluminum substituted MCM-41 than silica type MCM-41. Injected of 10 vol% water vapor on Pt/Al-MCM-41catalyst, negligible effect of NO reduction was found. when compared with the activity performance of Pt-ZSM-5, still Pt/Al-MCM-41 has relatively higher resistant to water vapor and sulfut contents in flue-gases.

Corn starch was modified by the oxidation with sodium hypochlorite(NaOCl) and the changes in the distribution of molecular weight were examined. Corn starch was oxidized with 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, and 1.5% active Cl/g of starch at pH 7.0 and 25℃ for 10 min. Oxidation of corn starch caused a change in the molecular weight distribution of amylopectin. The fraction of highest molecular weight in native starch decreased gradually and the fraction of lower molecular weight increased with increasing oxidation. Also, λ_max and iodine binding capacities of oxidized starches decreased and the soluble carbohydrate content increased by oxidation The differential scanning calorimetric results of oxidized starches showed that the temperature and enthalpies of gelatinization were not changed by oxidation; however, the more the starch was oxidized, the greater the extent of retrogradation.

As an attempt to develop new functional beverages for breakfast, sweet potato based beverages were prepared with hydrolyzed sweet potato, potato, and carrot products (sample : water = 1 : 1), and their chemical and sensory properties were evaluated. The content of reducing sugar and soluble solid of the sweet potato, potato, and carrot increased with enzyme treatment, while their viscosity decreased without significant change of color. The hunter color test showed that the beverages with 10% carrot content were high in redness leading to a decrease in their acceptability for sensory evaluation. The sensory score of the mixture containing 5% carrot was good, but beverage with 0% carrot reduced the sensory properties. The results showed that the final ratio of sweet potato to potato to carrot for the new functional beverage was 5 : 4.5 : 0.5. The pH of the beverage was adjusted to 5.0, 4.5, and 4.0 using an organic acid mixture. In the sensory test of the new functional beverage, the best sensory score(color, taste, smell, and texture) was the mixture of sweet potato : potato : carrot equaling 5 : 4.5 : 0.5 with a pH of 4.5.

This study proposes an optimized diffuser strake design that can improve driving performance for cars in high-speed driving mode. The speed of the vehicle is set to 160km/h, and the number of strake is set to 4, 6 and 8, and the angle of the diffuser is set to 4, 5 and 6 degrees. The arrangement of the strake is centered, edged and equally arranged. The optimized diffuser design induced with the Ansys Fluent analysis shows a drag coefficient of 16% less than the basic diffuser-free model at a diffuser angle of 6 degree, 8 strakes, and equal arrangement.
