        칠복음(七福飮)이 Glucose Oxidase에 의해 손상(損傷)된 대뇌피질(大腦皮質) 신경세포(神經細胞)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        As the average life span have been lengthened and the rate of senile population have been raised, chronic degenerative diseases incident to aging has been increased rapidly and become a social problem. With this social background, recently, the facts that oxygen radicals(OR) have toxic effects on Central Nervous System and Peripheral Nervous System and cause neuropathy such as Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer Disease have been turned out, and accordingly lots of studies on the mechanism of the toxic effects of OR on nerves, the diseases caused by OR and the approaches to curing the diseases have been made. The purpose of this study is to examine the toxic effects caused by Glucose Oxidase(GO) and the effects of herbal extracts such as Chilbokyeum(CBY) on the treatment of the toxic effects. For this purpose, experiments with the cultured cell from the cerebrums of new born mice were done. The results of these experiments were as follows. 1. GO, a oxygen radical, decreased the survival rate of the cultured cells on NR assay and MTT assay 2. GO, a oxygen radical, increased lipid peroxidation and the amount of LDH. 3. CBY have efficacy of decreasing lipid peroxidation. 4. CBY have efficacy of decreasing the amount of LOH. From the above results, It is concluded that Chilbokyeum has marked efficacy as a treatment for the damages caused in the GO-mediated oxidative process. And Chilbokyeum is thought to have certain pharmacological effects on controlling over aging and treating Dementia. Further clinical study of this pharmacological effects of Chilbokyeum should be complemented.

        淸代 心德潛의 杜甫詩에 대한 認識 考察

        Sim-Duk-Zam (henceforth Sim) made the settlement of theories which are focused on the ethnic values among confucianal poetics. He also inherited the reactive tone of an argument from Chil-za-pa, a school which are made up of seven people, while he established a new style of poetics based on one's character by absorbing Wang Sa Jong's "Sin-Un-Sul", a kind of theory and Jeon-Gum-Ik and Sub-sub's study of poetics. This reactive tone of an argument has been inherited for several hundreds since the end of Song Dynasty. But his poetics has not been attended as much as its importance because his poetics was regarded as a model of feudal poetics. For with all, his "Go-Si-Won", and "O-Jo-Si-Bul-Jae-Jib" have been one of the most frequently referred books. And many theories and various poetics are founded on his poetics which were made at that time. In this study I would like to analyse his importance of Dufu's poetry and the criticism of Dufu's poetry among his study of poetics because the origin and spirit of his poetics are concentrated in the study of Dufu's poetry. Sim is considered the settler of the theory of "Geok-Jo-Sul" And Geok means the correspondence of poetry to the standard And Jo means the correspondence of both rhythm and tone in poetry. It seems that the reactive trend makes him follow the high and old tone and style in poetry. And poetry in the periods of Han, Wi and Tang dynasties are respected as orthodox by Sim. Dufu's poetry are harmonized with the view point of Sim's "Geok-Jo-Sul", because Dufu's poetry have changes as well as follow the tradition. I try to find the origion of Dufu's poetry through Sim's critics of Dufu's poetry whih are modest in satirising people, so to speak "On-Yu-Don-Hu". Sim argues that Dufu's poetry recapitulated the works of the former poets and their origin was in "Pung-Ah" tradition in "Si-Keong" and that the role of Dufu's poetry is realizing "On-Yu-Don-Hu", which means satirising people with modesty, and he also argues that the ground of the formal achievement of Dufu's poetry is in the freedom of style and tone in creating poetry. I select some of Sim's critics about Dufu's poetry to get an objective result because this is apt to be subjective and I also generalize Sim's achievement of his study of Dufu's poetry through three arguments mentioned the above.

        The purpose of this study is to examine the toxic effects caused by Glucose Oxidase(GO) and the effects of herbal extracts such as Acori Rhizoma(AR) on the treatment of the toxic effects. For this purpose, experiments with the cultured cell from the cerebrums of new born mice were done. The results of these experiments were as follows. 1. GO, a oxygen radical, decreased the survival rate of the cultured cells on NR assay and MTT assay. 2. GO, a oxygen radical, decreased the amount of neurofilaments and total protein. 3. AR have efficacy of increasing the amount of neurofilament. 4. AR have efficacy of increasing the amount of total protein. From the above results, It is concluded that AR has marked efficacy as a treatment for the damages caused in the GO-mediated oxidative process. And AR is thought to have certain pharmacological effects on controlling over aging. Further clinical study of this pharmacological effects of AR should be complemented.

        BioSMACK: a Linux Live CD for genome-wide association analyses

        Recent advances in high-throughput genotyping technologies have enabled us to conduct a genome-wide association study (GWAS) on a large cohort. However, analyzing millions of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) is still a difficult task for researchers conducting a GWAS. Several difficulties such as compatibilities and dependencies are often encountered by researchers using analytical tools, during the installation of software. This is a huge obstacle to any research institute without computing facilities and specialists. Therefore, a proper research environment is an urgent need for researchers working on GWAS. We developed BioSMACK to provide a research environment for GWAS that requires no configuration and is easy to use. BioSMACK is based on the Ubuntu Live CD that offers a complete Linux-based operating system environment without installation. Moreover, we provide users with a GWAS manual consisting of a series of guidelines for GWAS and useful examples. BioSMACK is freely available at http://ksnp.cdc. go.kr/biosmack.       • 서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria Gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1994)

        Background : In recent years gonorrhoea has been panendemic and remains one of the most common Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Method : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria Gonorrhoeae(PPNG), Ive have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1994, 168 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 109 (64,9% ) were PPNG. Conclustion : Our results suggests that the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is still increasing.

      • CDMA이동통신시스템에서 핸드오프 영역에 따른 용량 분석

        One of the key features contributing to the worldwide acceptance of the CDMA cellular system is its soft handoff capability, thereby providing high quality service with little management sophistication. This capability enabled by path diversity, however, imposes extra traffic load on the system. Classifying calls into two kinds, new and handoff, we derive the load balance equation, based on which the load associated with the soft handoff is exactly analyzed. Results on some realistic input data indirectly suggests how to determine the number of channel resources reserved for providing the path diversity in a real-world system.

        The objective of this paper is to investingate the thermal properties of TMA-clathrate applicable to cold storage system for building air-conditioning in order to use energy reasonably. Especially, the test tube experiments are performed by comparing and to analyzing the temperature of phase change, specific heat and subcooling characteristic according to the variation of concentrations and temperature of heat source in TMA clathrate. The result are summarized as follows; 1) temperature of phase change is dropped as the temperature of heat source is lower 2) specific heat of TMA-clathrate is about 24~95 % of pure-water 3) subcooling is smalled as the temperature of heat source is lower. Thus, it apears that TMA-clathrate has thermal properties as the cold storage medium for residential air-conditioning

      • 음성 인식 헬스케어 시스템

        As modern people's interest in health grows, wearable healthcare-related technologies that can collect biometric information and receive health-related services regardless of time and place are developing. This paper proposes the healthcare system based on voice recognition function. Unlike conventional wearable healthcare systems, the proposed system provides real-time telemedicine and diagnosis and the direct connection with doctors is possible through it. And almost all functions of the application in it are operated with voice commands to lower user access barriers. Because it deals with personal information including medical information, encryption algorithms have been applied between all data movements. Finally, the healthcare system proposed in this paper is expected to increase convenience in health care and reduce the medical gap.

      • Ribosomal DNA의 ITS영역 염기서열 분석에 의한 기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria spp.의 계통분류학적 유연관계

        기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria spp.와 비병원성 A. alternata의 계통분류학적 유연관계를 규명하기 위하여 기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria 6균, 비병원성인 A. alternata 그리고 비교균으로서 소형포자를 형성하는 A. brassicicola, 대형포자를 형성하는 A. solani의 ribosmal DNA의 5.8S를 포함한 ITS영역의 염기 서열을 분석하였던 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Alternaria spp.의 rDNA ITS영역의 염기서열 크기는 548∼562bp였으며 5.8S rDNA에서는 비교종간에 서로 일치하였고 ITS I에서는 종간 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다. 2. 기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria spp.의 rDNA의 ITS영역의 염기서열은 비병원성인 A. alternata의 염기서열과는 서로 일치하였으나 A. brassicicola와는 3%, A. solani와는 7%의 염기서열 차를 보였다. 3. 기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria spp.는 비병원성 A. alternata와 진화적으로 매우 가까운 유연관계를 나타내었다. The regions of internal transcribed spacer(ITS) including 5.8S ribosomal DNA(rDXA) from six host-specific toxin(HST) producing Alternaria spp. nonpathogenic A. alternata. A. solani and A. brassicicola were sequenced to assess their relationship in taxonomy. There was no difference in the sequences of ITS including 5.8S rDNA among the HST-producing Alternaria spp. and nonpathogenic A. alternata. However, the sequences of HST-producing Alternaria spp. were different from those of A. solani and A. brassicicola by about 7% and 3%, respectively. These results suggest that HST-producing Alternaria spp. are evolutionarily very close to non pathogenic A. alternata although they have host-specific pathogenecity.

        This paper addresses mobility models for the exact analysis of performance in cellular networks. The probability density functions of speed and direction of terminal crossing a cell boundary, based on "Biased Sampling" formula, are unequal to the probability density functions for terminals in the cell. A more precise mobility model is first derived on a single isolated cell with a circular boundary. The model is then compared with Tomas's, Hong's, and Xie's ones in the well-known performance measures. A computer simulation is also conducted to illustrate the accuracy of the proposed mobility model.
