        오징어 내장에서 분리한 Protease 특성의 모니터링

        The characteristics of protease from squid viscera was investigated by response surface methodology(RSM) programmed with reaction temperature and pH. The optimal temperature and pH for the protease were 41.75℃ and pH 6.02 respectively. Also its activity was 78.65 unit at the optimal condition and R² of the model was 0.8461(P<0.1). The protease activity was decreased by Na^(+) and increased by Mg^(2+). But K^(+) did not affect the protease. The Km value against casein was determined to be 0.12 mM by Line-weaver-Burk plot.

        Cohesiveness, gumminess and springiness of acorn rook increased in proportion to gum treatment Hardness and brittleness of acorns rook were higher in Xanthan(Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ) than in Gellan(Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ). Acceptance of taste and color was no difference between general acorn rook and gum treated mooks. Sensory scores for appearance, texture and overall preference inc eased by gum treatment The scores were the highest in Gellan(Ⅲ) and Xanthan(Ⅱ). To produce high quality acorn r nooks, recommendatory gum content was 0.15% in the case of gellan gum and 0.10% in the case of xanthan gum.

        To improve the quality of persimmon vinegars, this study was investigated effects of persimmon tannin on acetic acid fermentation. During fermentation sugar contents didn't changed in all groups. Total acidity of 0.15 % tannin group was very low, only 2.5 %. Browning reaction during acetic acid fermentation increased continuously. Especially the color values and turbidity of 0.15 % tannin group were different from other groups. The contents of total phenolic materials and tannin decreased during acetic acid fermentation.

      • Ciprofloxacin의 돼지 호흡기 감염증 및 설사증에 대한 치료효과

        To evaluate the clinical efficacy of ciprofloxacin (CFX) on treatment of the pigs with respiratory diseases or diarrhea, CFX at various dosages were administered intramuscularly to the diseased pigs selected from the pig farms located in Chungnam province. One hundreds and fourteen heads of pigs with respiratory diseases were divided into five groups and CFX at 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 ( = 2.5mg CFX/Kg B.W.) and 2.0 doses were administered i.m. for 5 days. The recovery rates were found 31.8%, 73.9%, 91.3% and 92.0%, respectively, being higher than that of the untreated control group (19.0%). The mortality of the treated groups were 0%, that is lower than that of the control (9.5%). Seven kinds of bacteria were isolated from the respiratory organs of 86 pigs, and 34 (39.5%) of 86 pigs showed the complicated infection. In analyzing by the pigs infected with a single pathogen as P. multocida, A. pleuropneumonia, Staphylclcoccus spp. or Mycoplasma spp., the recovery rates were 0∼66.6% at 0.25 dose. 66.6∼100% at 0.5 dose and 100% in all of 4 pathogens at 1.0 to 2.0 doses. At 0.25 dosage the pigs infected with A. pleuropneumonia showed the lowest recovery rate. One hundreds and twenty two heads of pigs with diarrhea were divided into five groups and CFX at 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 ( = 2.5mg CFX/Kg B.W.) and 2.0 doses were administered i.m. for 5 days. The recovery rates were 29.1%, 40.0%, 80.0% and 88.0%, respectively. The mortality of the treated groups were 0-8.3%, being much lower than that of the control. Four kinds of bacteria were isolated from the fecal specimens of 94 pigs, and 84 (89.0%) of 94 pigs showed the complicated infection.

      • 구강 편평세포암종의 Matrix Metalloproteinase(MMP)-1, 2, 3, 9와 Tissue Inhibitors of MMP(TIMP)-1, 2의 발현 양상의 비교 및 상호 연관성

        Objective : nvasiveness of squamous cell carcinoma in oral cavity is associated with poor prognosis, and MMPs have an important role in degradation of extracellular matrix and bawement membrane of vessil walls. Increased expressions of MMPs is related to infiltrative growth and lymph node metastases in human cancers. In normal tissue, there is balanced secretions of MMPs and TIMPs, but impaired balance of MMPs and TIMPs was noted in cancer tissue. The aim of this study is to evaluate the expression rates of MMP-1, 2, 3 and TIMP 1 and 2 in squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity, and relationship between MMPs and TIMPs expression and histologic grade and invasion pattern. Methods and Material : Pathologic review of fifty cases of squamous cell carcinoma during a period of Mar. 1994 to Feb. 2000 based on histologic grade and invasion pattim and immunohistochemical stains for MMP-1, 2, 3 and 9 and TIMP-1, 2 were done. Statistical analysis between MMPs and TIMP s expression rate and pathologic parameters and relationship between MMPs and TIMPs were performed. Results : Expression rates of MMP-1, 2, 3 and 9were 32.0%, 38.0%, 22.0% and 20.0%, respectively. MMP-2 expression rate was higher in well differentiated carcinomas and in cases with less-infiltrative pattern. Other MMPs show slightly higher expression rate in well differentiated carcinomas, but there were no statistical significances. There were no significant differences of MMP-1, 2, 3 and 9 expression rates according to invasion pattern. Expression rates of TIMP-1 and TIM-2 were 22.2% and 48.0%, respectively, and there were no significant differences according to histologic grade and invasion pattern. Significant correlations of MMP-1, 2, 3 and 9 expressions except between MMP-2 and MMP-3 were noted, but there were no significant correlations between MMPs and TIMPs expression. Conclusion : Conclusions: In well differentiated and less infiltrative squamous cell carcinomas of the oral cavity, expression rates of MMPs, especially MMP-2, were high. And there were positive correlation between MMPs, but no correlation between MMPs and TIMPs. These findings suggest that MMPs may have a role in tumor developent of a subset of squamous cell carcinoma with less aggressive behavior and MMPs may involve in early stage of tumor progression.

      • Roxythromycin-tylosin-furaltadone 합제의 닭 유래 세균에 대한 시험관내 항균효과

        In vitro antimicrobial susceptibility of roxythromycin (Rx), tylosin (Tyl), erythromycin (EM) and furaltadone (Fur) was studied, either by the single type or the combinated type of Rx-Tyl-Fur (RTF) against E. co1i (30 strains), Staph. aureus (20 strains) and Mycoplasma gallisepticum (5 strains) that are the major pathogens in poultry farm. The paper disk diffusion and MIC tests were applied. In screening test by paper disk diffusion method, the single types of antibiotics showed the sensitivity against 55 strains of bacteria in order of Fur, EM, Rx and Tyl. The combinated RTF showed the higher rate of sensitivity (80∼83.3% at 64㎍/disk, 60-75% at 32㎍/disk) and wider range of growth inhibiting zone (19.6±3.7-24.8±4.7mm) than those of the single drugs. In MIC test, the sensitivity against the 55 strains appeared in order of Fur. EM, Rx and Tyl as similar to those of paper disk diffusion method. The MIC ranges of RTF were 0.125∼16㎍/ml for E. coli, 0.25∼16㎍/ml for Staph. aureus and 1-8㎍/ml for Myco. gallisepticum, showing evidently lower than those of the single types. The MIC_(50) and MIC_(90) of RTF were estimated l∼4㎍/ml and 8∼16㎍/ml, respectively, and remarkably lower than those of the single drugs.

      • 근사적 전과정 평가 방법론 개발

        본 논문에서는, 제품을 환경적 특징 (characteristic)에 따라 그룹핑하여 제품군을 형성하고, 제품군내의 제품 속성들로 환경영향 드라이버 (Environmental Impact Driver; EID) 인덱스(index)를 표현함으로써, 제품의 초기 설계 단계에서 사용할 수 있는 한가지 근사적 전과정 평가 방법론을 제안한다. 환경영향 드라이버 (Environmental Impact Driver; EID) 인덱스인 즉 하나의 환경 범주와 제품 속성들 사이의 상관 관계를 조사하여 통계적으로 관계를 검증한다. 개념설계 단계에서 그룹된 제품의 근사적 전과정 평가 결과를 예측하기 위하여 인공신경망 모델이 개발된다. 이 학습 모델은 각각의 환경영향 범주에 대해 관련 제품 특성들을 관련시킴으로써 일반화가 될 수 있다. 역전파(Backpropagation) 알고리즘을 갖는 인공신경망 모델이 사용되며, 그 결과는 중회귀분석의 결과와 비교된다. 제안된 방법은 완전 전과정평가 방법을 대체할 수는 없으나, 설계 개념 대안들에 대한 근사적 환경영향평가 결과를 제공해 준다. This paper proposes an approximate life cycle assessment (LCA) for the conceptual design stage by grouping products according to their environmental characteristics and by mapping product attributes into environmental impact driver (EID) index. The relationship is statistically verified by exploring the correlation between total impact indicator and impact category. Then an artificial neural network model is developed to predict results of approximate LCA of grouping products in conceptual design stage. The training is generalized by using identified product attributes for an EID in a group as well as another product attributes for another EIDs in other groups. The neural network model with back propagation algorithm is used and the results are compared with those of multiple regression analysis. The proposed approach does not replace the full LCA but it would give an approximate LCA results for design concepts.

        5인 미만 사업장의 산업안전 규제 순응 실태

        This study is planned to investigate the compliance of small sized enterprises of under 5 employees directed by Industrial Safety and Health Act. Occupational safety regulation can be required for employer and employee to comply because that all members of workplace should be involved to protect worker's health. When all members of workplace comply with safety regulation, effectiveness of regulation will be realized as expectation. The study subject is composed of three groups as 501 employers, 501 employees of small sized enterprises of under 5 employees and 107 safety inspectors sampled by stratified random sampling for comparison. Data for analysis is collected from each sample using interview with structured questionnaires. Compliance is measured by 5 point scale composed by 8 sub items such as general perception, understanding, clearness, necessity, relevancy, implementation, penalty, and general compliance of the regulation. Among sub items of employer's compliance, the level of perception of regulation, necessity of regulation, relevancy of penalty are differentiated among three groups. The level of all 8 items of employee's compliance also differentiated among three groups. These results show that strategies for ensuring the same level of compliance among three groups will be needed through education, training and evaluation of regulation and feedback.
