Purpose: The objective of this study was to verify the effects of the Singing program for psychiatric patients on their self-esteem and interpersonal relationship, and to provide data for the nursing intervention that is necessary for making their life better. Method: The subjects were 10 in-patients with psychotic disorders at C university hospital in Seoul, from july 3 to September 18 im 2005, and the methodology was one group pre experimental- post experimantal design. The instrument for the measurement of self-esteem is Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale(1973), which was translated by Chun Byung Jae(1974) and the measurement of interpersoral relationship is Schleim & Guerney Relationship Change Scale(1971) which was translated by Mun Seok Mo(1980) and revised by Chun Seok Gyun(1994). SPSS program was used for the analysis of the collected data, which were analyzed by the paired t-test and one-way ANOVA. Result: Singing therapy had an effect on improvement of the self-esteem, and seemed to be more effective as the frequency of the program increased. Singing therapy had an effect on improvement of the interpersonal relatinship, and seemed to ne more effecive as the frequency of the program increased. Comclusion: Singing therapy is found out to be effective program affecting the improvement of both the self-esteem and interpersonal relationship of the psychiatric patients. Therefore the nurses can use the Singing therapy as the nursing intervention for imtrovement of the self-esteem and interpersonal relationship of the psychiatric patients in clinical practice.

수사적 상황과 역할에 따른 대통령 수사학 장르 분석

Rhetorical genre represents a class of messages having important structural and content similarities that creates special expectations among listeners. Presidential rhetoric delivers textual features to the similar effect of creating trust and bonding people. Based on the arguments of Bitzer and Hart, this study attempts to compare and contrast two presidential addresses that were delivered in two different time and spacial settings. For this purpose, former President Park Jung Hee’s 1963 National Press Club address in Washington and President Park Geun Hye’s 2013 address in U.S. Congress in Washington were chosen. As analytic tools, Hart’s credibility strategy index and I-reference style were used, along with Bitzer’s elements in rhetorical situation. The results indicated that two Presidents showed similar patterns in their use of credibility strategy and use of I-reference positioning them in a certain role in their speeches. While two speeches, each of which 48 years apart, revealed different rhetorical situations in terms of their exigences, audiences, and contraints, respective presidents retained similar generic features in their addresses. From the results, it could be discussed that the presidential rhetoric as a generic form has a unique construct of communicating messages that pronounce their unique social role and solidate trust system in society.

We experienced a 25 year-old male patient with typhoid fever complicated with massive hemoptysis. Pulmonary complication in typhoid fever is very rare and to our knowledge, there has been no report of hemoptysis as a main cause of death with this disease. We herein report a rare case of typhoid fever.

2017년 7월 4일부터 6일까지 경상남도 거제시 거제도 일대를 김주필, 김대희, 지승환, 지성현, 최라미, 이영경 등 한국거미연구소 회원들이 주야로 채집한 결과, 총 23과 56속 75종이 조사 연구되어 이에 발표하는 바이다. 채집한 표본은 주필거미박물관에 보관하였다. From July 4 to 6 in 2017. Joo-Pil Kim, Dae-Hee Kim, Seung-Hwan Ji, Sung-Hyun Ji, Ra-Mi Choi, Yeong-Gyeong Lee, the members of The Arachnological Institute of Korea investigated the spiders in the whole area of Geoje city, Geoje-do, Gyeongsangnam-do and report 23 Family 56 Genus 75 Species of spiders. The collected spiders are placed (stored) in the Joo-Pil Spider museum.

The purpose of this research is to investigate parents' perception on the educational continuity between the kindergarten and elementary school and their opinion on the educational program for continuity. This study would provide basic information for better strategy for developing educational continuity between kindergartens and elementary schools. The subjects of this study were 200 parents and teachers of a kindergarten located in D city and 200 parents and teachers of elementary schools. 800 questionnaires were distributed and finally 542 were returned (122 from kindergarten parents, 149 from elementary school parents, 122 from kindergarten teachers, 149 from elementary school teachers). The data was analyzed with SPSS WIN 16.0 and frequency, percentage, Chi-square, F value were calculated. The results of this research can be summarized as follows: First, it was found that both teachers and parents were positive on the need for the educational continuity but teachers were more positive than parents. This means that kindergartens have settled down as one of educational institutions and feel more educational continuity. Second, both parents and teachers replied that present programs for educational continuity were effective but parents were more positive than teachers. This is because teachers have not understood well about the curriculum of the counterpart. Third, both parents and teachers were positive on the application of parents' opinions on the educational continuity programs. Finally, regarding the focus of educational continuity programs, both parents and teachers were positive most on the development of basic life habits and both of them thought that even though basic learning was made in kindergartens, it must be repeated in elementary schools.

투사형 전조등의 광학적 분석

투사형 전도등의 특성을 조사하기 위해 광선 추적법으로 광학계를 분석하고 그 결과를 포물경 전도등과 비교하였다. 포물경 전도등의 경우 광학계가 단순한 장점이 있지만 광원의 일부분 만을 반사하며 실제 광원의 크기와 위치를 고려할 때 높은 수차가 불가피 했다. 투사형 전도등은 여러개의 광학부품 사용하는 복잡함과 전체적 길이가 길어지는 단점이 있지만 포물경 전도등 보다 40%이상의 빛을 더 활용하며 전체적인 수차도 상당히 줄일 수 있었다. 그러나 투사형 전도등 광학계의 성능은 비구면 렌즈의 형태에 매우 민감한 것으로 나타났다. To investigate characteristics of the projection type headlights for automobiles, we used ray tracing methods and compared the results with those from parabolic type headlights. The parabolic type headlights are simple but have two limits: first, they require large apertures. To reflect 50% of a source light, the aperture must be 4 times of focal length and to have more reflected light, apertures must grow geometrically. second, a parabolic mirror have large aberration when a source is away from a focus, since output of a headlight cannot be divergent, a source should locate far side from a mirror and moreover a light source has a finite size, large aberration is unavoidable. The projection type headlights have many optical components and longer depth compared with parabolic types, but their apertures can be made small. Advantage of using a ellipsoidal mirror is to reduce beam divergence by half and displace a focal position to another focal point, so that spherical aberration free and short focal length aspherical lens can be placed in proper position. In our study, we adopt a commercially available aspheric lens and the results were quite good compared with those from parabolic types but not optimal since output experienced total reflection at an aspheric lens. We found to improve performance of headlights, proper design of an aspheric lens was crucial.
