The glass formation region of V2O5-P2O5-Fe3O4 was determined, and the electrical conductivity and activation energy of the resultant semiconducting glass were measured with varying content of Fe3O4(10~20 mole %). In V2O5-P2O5-Fe3O4 system, the glass formation was measured as Fe3O4 content increases, while it was widened as P2O5 content increases. Increasing amount of Fe3O4 enhanced the glass transition temperature and the softening point. The electrical conductivity of V2O5-P3O5 glass was increased with some part of P2O5 replaced by Fe3O4, and was decreased with some part of V2O5 replaced by Fe3O4. And the activation energy showed the opposite tendency.

We evaluate transcranial Doppler findings and clinical features of middle cerebral artery (MCA) infarction patients to correlate early hemodynamic changes with clinical outcomes in the patients. We included 7 patients who were clinically diagnosed as MCA infarction. TCD was performed within 48 hours from onset of Symptoms. Clinical outcomes were divided into 1) good, 2) fair, 3) poor, and 4) bad. The TCD findings were correlated with the clinical outcomes. CT and MRI findings were reviewed to observe the intraparenchymal lesion in each patient. TCD findings could be classified into three groups: 1) normal or increased mean blood flow velocity (MBFV) in MCA of the lesion side (n=2), 2) decreased MBFV in the lesion side with increased BFV in the opposite in neighboring vessels (n=2), 3) no dectected BFV on MCA of lesion side without increased BFV on neighboring vessels (n=3). Good or fair outcomes were shown in group 1 and 2 patients, except a patient with chronic renal failure. Subcortical involvements were detected in most of patients in these groups. In group 3, poor or bad clinical outcomes were observed and parenchymal involvements were more extensive in subcortical and cortical area than in group 1 and 2. Early evaluation of hemodynamic changes may provide as a simple tool to predict the prognosis of the MCA infarction.

Within the last few years, a different approach to generating protein-reactive antibodies has been developed that has several advantages over conventional immunization. This involves synthesizing short peptide sequences, coupling them to immunogenic carrier molecules, and immunizing animals with the conjugates. 3βHSD(3β-hydroxy-5-ene steroid dehydrogenase; EC 1.1.1.145) is the enzyme of the plasma membrane of human trophoblast and it's cDNA sequence was identified by Nickon et al(Molecular cloning and expression of human trophoblast antigen FDO161G and its identification as 3β-hydroxy-5-ene steroid dehydrogenase. J Reprod Fert 1991;149;156). For the production of trophoblast-specific antibody, we synthesized three oligopeptides that are epitope sites chosen from cDNA sequence of 3βHSD. Oligopetides were coupled with KLH(keyhole limpet hemocyanin) under 25% glutaraldehyde. The trophoblast-specific rabbit polyclonal antisera was produced by conventional methods. This antisera reacts with a 43kDa protein in human placental lysate by Western blotting analysis and The syncytiotrophoblasts and cytotrophoblasts from villi are stained positively with this antisera by immunohistochemistry. Villous trophoblasts were cultured in methionine-free media for 1 hour and [^(35)S]-Methionine for 24 hours. Media and cell lysate were immunoprecipitated with this antisera and 12% SDS-PAGE was performed. In fluorography, bend was not noted in media and 43kDa band was noted in medis and 43kDa band was noted in lysate. It was concluded that anti-3βHSD antibody produced by synthetic peptide was specific to trophoblasts and 3βHSD was membrane-bound protein of trophoblasts.
ZrO₂- 8m/ oY₂O₃- Bi₂O₃3성분계의 분말특성 및 소결체특성

The properties of the powder and the sintered body of ZrO₂- 8m/ oY₂O₃- Bi₂O₃prepared by copreciptitation method were investigated. The crystallization temperatures of the powder were increased with increasing of amount of bismuth, and the agglomeration was developed by the increasing of calcination temperatures. The sinterability was increased with the amount of Bi₂O₃added which caused liquid phase, and the deterioration of the thermal expansions and the electrical properties were happened. The electrical properties of 8YZB system were that the electrical conductivity was from ?? and the oxygen ion transference number was from 0.75 to 0.92.

The aim of this study is to investigate college students' opinion on The Impact of UCC Media Contents on College Students' Political consciousness. The research question is as follows: first, how can the college students' perceptions who participated on The Impact of UCC Media Contents on College Students' Political consciousness? Second, what are the differences between the perceptions of college students who participated in The Impact of UCC Media Contents on College Students' Political consciousness. To answer on these research question, we use Q-methodology, which is more useful in organizing subjectivity types and opinions of students, both in explaining and sorting of data by characteristic and personal opinion.
