This study was carried out to investigate the heavy metal content of freshwater fishes which were collected at 7 areas located on Youngsan river from march to april in 1988. The results obtained were as follows : 1. Generally mean value of heavy metal contents of fishes collected on lower and upper parts of Youngsan river were higher than those of middle parts. 2. The highest percent of water in edible portion of samples was 81.5% in cyprinus carpio, the lowest was 74.7% in Pseudogobio esocinus, and. the other samples were 75.3% to 78.0. 3. In the cadmiuum contents, the highest value was 14.67 ppb in Carassius auratus and the value at Dongmal ferry area was higher than those at other parts on Youngsan river. 4. In the lead contents, the highest was 0.236 ppm in carassius auratus and that in Zacco platypus was the lowest 0.112 ppm, 5. In the copper contents, the highest value was 2.007ppm in Carassius auratus and the contents of fishes of fishes of dongmal ferry was higher than those of any other area. 6. In the chromium contents, the highest was 1.102ppm in carassius auratus and that in zacco playpus was the lowest 0.887 ppm. The contents of samples of Dongmal ferry area was also higher than those of other area. 7. Accumulation of heavy metals in freshwater fishes intended to increase with growth.

Seat is one of the most important part of an automobile for passenger's safety especially when an accident happens. A recliner is a part of the seat assembly, having the function of adjusting the back-plate angle of a seat. Recently, many kinds of vehicles have adopted the round recliner module rather than the conventional types of recliners because of its broad compatibility and structural simplicity. In this study a two-dimensional finite element strength analysis has been performed using a commercial code ABAQUS/Standard for the purpose of developing a new round recliner model. The loading condition for the analysis is the same as the FMVSS 301 regulation. The finite element result for the round recliner has been compared with that for the conventional type.

This paper deal with a method of detecting localized defects on taper roller bearing in main spindle of machine tool system. The statistical parameters in time-domain signal processing techniques have been calculated to extract useful features from bearing vibration signals. Emloying these features, the statiscical parameters have been established to detect defects on the rollers of bearings, respectively, and used by the input feature of an artificial neural nerwork. As a result that the proposed bearing defects monitoring system could be successfully performed by using the statistical parameters of acceleration signals.

Background : The reported incidence of early gastric cancer located in the upper portion of the stomach has been increasing with the recent advances in its diagnosis and screening. Recently, we have successfully performed laparoscopic assisted proximal gastrectomy and gastric tube reconstruction without pyloroplasty on three patients with early gastric carcinoma localized to the upper third of the stomach. We describe our modification of this procedure in this report. Method : After creating an surgical pneumoperitoneum, the stomach was mobilized using laparoscopic coagulating shears. Upper half of the greater curvature and three-quarters of the lesser curvature were then dissected along with regoinal D2 lymphadenectomy. This was followed by a 5 cm, longitudinal mini-laparotomy in the upper abdomen, and the construction of the exteriorized stomach with a gastric tube measuring 20 cm long and 4 cm wide. Reconstruction with an esophagogastrostomy was performed using a circular stapler. Result : No post-operative morbidity or mortality was observed in this small series of patients. The average operative time was 250 minutes (range 220-300 minutes), and the average blood loss was 150 ml (range 90-180 ml). The mean number of lymph nodes harvested during these laparoscopic proximal gastrectomies was 24 nodes (range 22-25 lymph nodes). The average postoperative hospital stays was 7.5 days (range 7-8 days). Conclusion : Our technique of laparoscopic assisted proximal gastrectomy and gastric tube reconstruction without phloroplasty offers a minimally invasive technique with the potential of impoving the post-operative quality of life patients with an early-stage proximal gastric cancer.
Embedding Covalency into Metal Catalysts for Efficient Electrochemical Conversion of CO<sub>2</sub>

<P>CO<SUB>2</SUB> conversion is an essential technology to develop a sustainable carbon economy for the present and the future. Many studies have focused extensively on the electrochemical conversion of CO<SUB>2</SUB> into various useful chemicals. However, there is not yet a solution of sufficiently high enough efficiency and stability to demonstrate practical applicability. In this work, we use first-principles-based high-throughput screening to propose silver-based catalysts for efficient electrochemical reduction of CO<SUB>2</SUB> to CO while decreasing the overpotential by 0.4–0.5 V. We discovered the covalency-aided electrochemical reaction (CAER) mechanism in which <I>p</I>-block dopants have a major effect on the modulating reaction energetics by imposing partial covalency into the metal catalysts, thereby enhancing their catalytic activity well beyond modulations arising from <I>d</I>-<I>block</I> dopants. In particular, sulfur or arsenic doping can effectively minimize the overpotential with good structural and electrochemical stability. The interest rate is expected to continue falling during the 4th quarter of 2015, we have yet to see what will happen to the policy rate. Korean Won is likely to depreciate as Korean economy is forecast to stagnate compared to the U.S. economy. And stock price is expected to stagger as the fate of developing countries`` economy is highly uncertain. Money supply is forecast to maintain its upward trend thanks to low interest rate and housing market boom created by the government.
