        중학교 남녀학생별 가정교과에 대한 인식 및 학습효과 : 경남지역을 중심으로

        The aims of this research study is to clear the differences of the learning effects and the cognition of Home Economics by sex in the middle school and to collect the future-oriented educational datas, after implementing the 6th education curriculum. The results of the study are as follows ; 1. Most of students had the cognition that Home Economics is a subject matter of a needful knowledge and skill for the family life, half students a cultural subject matter for the modern life. The former was supported by female students, the latter by male students. 2. Most of students were interested in actual training fields of cooking and hand-sewing, had a strong interest about a field of physical and social-psychological growth. The differences by sex were statistically significant in these fields. 3. Most of students had positive responses in the learning effects of Home Economics. The most useful field was cooking and the worst was the structure and method of sewing machine. 4. The shortage and the dissatisfaction in the learning of Home Economics were lacking of the actual training hours, the old-fashioned teaching methods and the shortage of teaching materials etc.

      • 남자 중학생의 식품 중량과 열량을 중심으로 한 영양교육 효과에 관한 연구

        This study was planned to suggest countermeasure of nutrition education by investigating adolescents, dietary behavior, food weight, and acknowledgement of food calories. 210 middle school boys were selected and asked to fill out the questionnaire. The subjects were divided by nutrition education experience; 1st grade who received nutrition session and 3rd grade who divided subjects. In terms of acknowledgement of food calories subjects nutrition education experience had more recognition for calories than the other group(p<0.01). When one bowl of rice, a potato, a bowel of kimchi and a carrot were asked. However recognition for meats, fishes and eggs were not different between two groups. Among milk and dairy foods the educated group showed high recognition both calories and weight of a piece of cheese than the other(p<0.05). The educated group showed better recognition for calories and weight of tea-spoon of butter, a tea spoon of oil and a tea-spoon of mayonaise, compared to the other group(p<0.01, p<0.05, p<0.05). Also the educated group showed better recognition for calories and weight of a packet of shrimp snack than the other group. The results of this study suggest that nutrition education improved the recognition of calories and weights of foods in study subjects. Also, the number of foods recognized for their calories and weights was higher among subjects who received nutrition education. These results will influence the choice the food by adolescents. Also the nutrition education are thought to be more effective by using photographs or food models, not just by lectures on theories.

        Streptococcus mutans의 gtfB 및 gtfC 유전자 발현에 대한 당의 영향

        Streptococcus mutans Ingbritt의 비수용성 글루칸을 합성하는 효소인 glucosyltransferase B 및 C의 mRNA 발현에 대한 각 당의 영향을 fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) 방법으로 관찰하여 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 1. 1% 설탕이 함유된 BHI 배지에서 S. mutans Ingbritt를 접종하여 배양할 때 배양 9시간 째 gtfB 및 gtfC 유전자의 mRNA가 발현이 급격히 증가하였다. 2. BHI 액체배지에 설탕을 첨가한 경우 gtfB 및 gtfC 유전자의 mRNA가 발현되었으며, 10% 설탕을 첨가한 경우 1%와 5%보다 gtfB 및 gtfC 유전자의 발현이 감소되었다. 3. 1% 설탕이 첨가된 BHI 액체 배지에 당을 첨가한 경우 포도당은 10% 첨가하였을 때 gtfB 및 gtfC 유전자의 mRNA 발현이 감소하였고, 과당의 경우 1% 첨가한 경우 감소하여 5%와 10%에서는 gtfB 및 gtfC 유전자가 거의 발현되지 않았다. 4. 자일리톨의 경우 1%부터 gtfB 및 gtfC 유전자 mRNA 발현이 대조군보다 감소하였고, 5%와 10%에서는 두 유전자 모두 발현이 현저하게 감소하였다. 5. 유당의 경우 두 유전자의 발현에 거의 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 관찰되었고, 솔비톨의 경우 각 농도에서 두 유전자의 발현이 대조군보다 감소하였다. 결론적으로 비수용성 글루칸 합성하는 gtfB 및 gtfC 유전자의 mRNA 발현이 포도당, 과당, 자일리톨 첨가에 의해 감소함을 알 수 있었다. Insoluble glucan is the important component of oral biofilm, which is synthesized from sucrose through the action of glucosyltransferase (GTF) B and GTF C encoded by the gtfB and gtfC genes, respectively of Streptococcus mutans. In present study, the effects of various sugars on the mRNA expression of gtfB and gtfC of S. mutans Ingbritt were examined by fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH). The mRNA of gtfB and gtfC was expressed normally in the BHI broth containing 1% and 5% sucrose. The mRNA expression was decreased by the addition of 10% of glucose, and 1%, 5% and 10% of fructose. Lactose had no great effect on the expression of gtfB and gtfC 5% and 10% of xylitol greatly reduced the mRNA expression of gtfB and gtfC. Sorbitol slightly decreased the mRNA expression of gtfB and gtfC when compared to the control. In summary, mRNA expression of gtfB and gtfC was decreased by the addition of glucose, fructose, and xylitol.

        대학생의 의류쇼핑성향과 청바지 구매 시 점포선택

        The purposes of this study were to classify shopper types based on clothing shopping orientations and to identify the differences in store selection criteria and demographic characteristics by shopper types. The questionnaire was administered to female and male undergraduate and graduate students living in Seoul. Of 330 returned questionnaires, 319 were used in the statistical analysis which were factor analysis, cluster analysis, x²-test, and One-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Clothing shopping orientations had six factors: recreational shopping, name conscious shopping, economic shopping, fashion oriented shopping, convenience shopping, and individualistic shopping. Cluster analysis identified that clothing shopping orientations had four groups: recreational cluster, individualistic cluster, demanding shopper cluster, and convenient brand conscious shopper cluster. 2) Clothing shopping orientations were significantly different in relation to the demographic characteristics such as gender, major field of study, expenditure on clothing, pocket money, and family income level. 3) Store selection criteria had five factors: service quality, physical store environment, sales personnel, shopping convenience, and other attractions. 4) There were significant differences in physical store environment, shopping convenience, and other attractions according to the shopper clusters.

        상수도 불화소에 관한 고찰 : 양이온의 불화염 형성을 중심으로 Considering the Interaction of Cations and Fluoride

        In Korea, fluoride was first introduced into the drinking water of residents of Jinhae, Kyung Nam in 1951 for the prevention of dental caries. Ever since, growing numbers of communities favor fluoridation. The mechanism of F prevention of tooth decay is well known: fluoride ions substitute for hydroxyl ions in hydroxyapatite of hard tissues, which result in crystal perfection, with consequent reduction in dental caries. Soluble fluorides such as sodium fluoride are almost completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. However, the presence of divalent or trivalent cations such as aluminum, magnesium, and calcium that can complex with F can reduce the degree of absorption. In U.S.A., over 7000 communities are now adding F to their drinking water. However, some portion of population oppose fluoridation, voicing both concern about the safety of fluoridation as well as for personal choice. Thus, This paper reviews the interaction of fluoride and cations as well as fluoride and suggests possible problems associated with fluoridation, a controversial issue.

        Artemisiae iwayomogii Herba, the aerial part of Artemisia iwayomogi Kitamura(=A.messer-schimidtiana Besser, Compositae), which is commonly called as 'Injinho' in Korea, is widely used as choleretic, antiinflammatory or diuretic remedy in oriental region. According to the result of preliminary study on antitoxidant activities author tried to confirm the effects on free radicals generation in liver cells. Among eight constituents isolated chlorogenic acid as well as jaceosidin showed prominent inhibitory activity against free radical generation in cultured liver cells. The activities in sequence of strength were chlorogenic acid 〉 jaceosidin 〉 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxy acetophenone 4-O-glucoside 〉 scopolin 〉 apigenin 7,4'-dimethyl ether.
