Environmental Education for Waste Reduction
( Hiroshi Takatsuki ) 한국폐기물자원순환학회 2011 ISWA Vol.2011 No.0
In this paper, the following topics are taken up: (1) Changes in waste management in Japan Waste management systems have gradually changed from appropriate disposal to minimization (2) Analysis of detailed composition of household waste The contents of household waste are deeply related to our lifestyle. (3) Applying the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) In applying the 3Rs, the 2Rs (Reduce, Reuse) in particular are more important than recycling. (4) The Kyoto Organization for Promotion of Garbage Reduction Activities of the partnership organization for promotion of garbage reduction are introduced. (5) The Kyoto Municipal Center for Promotion of Environmental Preservation Activities of the environmental education and learning center are introduced, with a description of how environmental education is important in solving the garbage problem. (6) Cartoon workshops to reduce garbage The author introduces his cartoon-drawing workshop promoting garbage minimization.

Angiogenesis is an essential event in a variety of physiological and pathological processes. Therefore, effective inhibition of event is a promising strategy for treating angiogenesis-related diseases, including cancer. The current study investigated two unique bafilomycin-type macrolide inhibitors of angiogenesis, PC-766B' (1) and PC-766B (2). The strain RK97-56 which produced the inhibitors was identified as Nocardia sp. by chemotaxonomic analyses, and the purification of the inhibitors was guided by their anti-angiogenic actives. PC-766B' (1) and PC-766B (2) exhibited potent inhibitory activities towards endothelial cell migration stimulated by the vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).
