      • Analysis of Genetic Diversity of Korean Wheat Cultivars Using Microsatellite DNA Polymorphisms

        Genetic background and phylogenetic relationships among 20 Korean wheat cultivars were assessed using microsatellites after amplifying with 13 SSR primer pairs. Average allele number per primer pair was 3.36. Genetic similarities for every pair of cultivars ranged from 0.42 to 0.97, with 0.69 of overall average. Korean cultivars were divided into two major groups based on microsatellite DNA polymorphisms. Group I consisted of relatively old cultivars developed until 1970s, and group II contained the recent cultivars developed during 1980s and 1990s. Amongst old elite cultivars/lines, ‘Yukseung 3’, ‘Norin 12’ and ‘Norin 72’ contributed most to the genetic background of cultivars belonging to group I, and ‘Norin 4’, ‘Norin 12’, ‘Norin 43’ and ‘Norin 72’ to group II, respectively. The phylogenetic relationship of Korean wheat cultivars was in accordance with the genealogical data of each cultivar. The genetic background of each cultivar was assessed from the point of breeding and germplasm management such as variety identification and duplicated accessions for assisting in developing a system for the registration of new variety based on the molecular characterization in future.

        CFRP composite has a lot of merits such as mechanical characteristic, light weight, and thermal resistance. For these merits CFRP is applied to so many industrial area. In this paper, the relationship between the stack thickness and drill diameter is examined from the drilling experiment, which is the drilling of 16, 32, 48plies specimen with the φ8, φ10, φ12mm cemented carbide drill. The results are analyzed with consideration of cutting force, stack thickness and drill diameter.

        In recent days the more use of CFRP composite is in the airplane, automobile, and sport goods, etc., the more necessity of research on it in this engineering. In this research, the CFRP composite specimen are fabricated by 48 CFRP plies with 8 orientation angles, and the specimens are drilled with 3 tools. The results are analyzed with consideration of cutting force, type of tools and fabrication condition. The specimens with each drilling conditions are also investigated with SEM. The optimal drilling conditions such as drill types and cutting force with respect to the fabricating condition are studied.

The optimal drilling conditions such as drill types and cutting force with respect to the fabricating condition are studied.

In order for the composite materials to be used in the air& structures or machine elements, accurate surfaces for bearing mounting or joints must be provided, which require precise machining. In this paper, the relationship between the stack thickness and drill diameter is examined from the drilling experiment, which is the drilling of 16, 32, 48plies specimen with the φ8, φ10, φ12mm cemented carbide drill. The results are analyzed with consideration of cutting force, stack thickness and drill diameter.

      • 시멘트 고화시 비산회의 첨가에 의한 압축강도 특성

        The mixture of solidifying agent was composed of cement and fly ash, and fly ash used to solidify the lead sludge was commercially pretreated fly ash emitted from power plant for sale. The compressive strength of cement mortar solidified lead sludge was increased by adding fly ash up to 46∼62%, the result of pozzolanic reaction. When replaced the cement by 10% of commercial fly ash, the solid showed the highest value of 210㎏/㎠, and at that time the solidification condition was 0.55 of the water/cement ratio and curing for 14 days. At early curing time, solidified lead sludge was showed lower compressive strength because of the interference against the hydration of cement, but the compressive strength was recovered to be more than 140 ㎏/㎠ later 14 days after the curing regardless with the amounts of replaced fly ash

        저자들은 외형상 여성으로써 원발성 무월경과 양측 외음부 종양 촉지를 주소로 입원한 complete testicular feminization syncrome 1례를 경험하였기에 이를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다 The 46, XY individual with complete testicular feminization syndrome is a phenotypic female who is usually somewhat tall, has excellent breast development and presents to the gynecologist because of primary amenorrhea and an inguinal mass. In complete testicular feminization syndrome, axillary and pubic hair are sparse or absent and some degree of virilization such as clitorial hypertrophy, partial labioscrotal fusion and hirsutism doesn't occur at puberty. We report a case of complete testicular feminization syndrome with the brief review of literatures.

        Recombinant human erythropoietin produced in milk of transgenic pigs

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>We have developed a line of transgenic swine harboring recombinant human erythropoietin through microinjection into fertilized one cell pig zygotes. Milk from generations F<SUB>1</SUB> and F<SUB>2</SUB> transgenic females was analyzed, and hEPO was detected in milk from all lactating females at concentrations of approximately 877.9±92.8IU/1ml. The amino acid sequence of rhEPO protein in the transgenic pig milk matched that of commercial rhEPO produced from cultured animal cells. In addition, an F-36 cell line, which proliferates in the presence of hEPO or commercial EPO, was induced to synthesize erythroid by extracts from tg sow milk. This study provides evidence that production of purified rhEPO from transgenic pig milk is a potentially valuable technology, and can be used as a cost-effective alternative in clinical applications as well as providing other clinical advantages.</P>

        Flight Test of Helicopter Landing System Using Real-time DGPS

        최근 수년간, GPS와 관련된 연구들이 항공분야를 비롯한 다양한 분야에서 진행되었다. 특히, GPS를 항공기의 착륙 유도 시스템에 이용하려는 연구가 많이 이뤄지고 있다. 이러한 시도들은 GPS의 경제성, 신뢰성, 정확성 등의 장점들을 십분 활용하기 위한 것이라고 할 수 있다. 서울대학교 GPS 실험실에서도 이러한 경향에 보조를 맞추어, GPS를 기반으로 하는 항공기 착륙 시스템을 개발하고, 헬리콥터를 이용한 비행실험을 수행하고 있다. 그 동안 누적된 실시간 DGPS 시스템 개발기술들을 바탕으로 항공기 착륙 시스템을 확장, 보강하여 최근의 비행실험을 실시 하였다. 본 논문에서는 새롭게 구성된 항공기 착륙 시스템을 소개하고 이를 이용한 비행실험 결과를 분석하였다. 기존의, 기본적인 실시간 DGPS 시스템에서 추가, 발전된 부분은 세 가지로 분류할 수 있다. 첫 번째는, 단일 GPS 안테나를 이용하여 항공기의 자세를 추정하는 부분이고, 두 번째는, 통합적인 cockpit display이다. 이 display는 가상현실을 이용하여 조종사에게 기존의 ILS 정보와 그 이외의 다양한 정보들을 보여준다. 마지막으로, 공항의 기상상태에 관계없이 조종사가 공항에 접근할 수 있도록, 전자지도를 삽입하여 안전한 착륙을 시도할 수 있도록 시스템을 구성하였다. 이렇게 새롭게 구성된 시스템을 이용하여 김해국제공항에서 비행실험을 수행하였다. 분석된 결과를 바탕으로, 이 시스템이 정확도 측면에서, CAT-I을 충분히 만족시킴을 확인하였으며, 신뢰도 높은 자세결정이 이뤄지고 있음을 확인하였다. In recent, there has been remarkable progress in the field of GPS applications. In a few years, an appreciable number of aircraft will adopt GPS as a landing guidance system because GPS is more economic, more reliable and more accurate than any other aviation systems. In this respect, we have performed several helicopter landing flight tests based on the real-time DGPS system made in SNUGL(Seoul National University GPS Laboratory). From the experimental results, we found seveal problems which should be fixed to adopt DGPS as a aircraft landing guidance system. In this paper, we will introduce the problems found in tests and also suggest modifications to solve the problems. Our modifications can be classified into three parts. The first is about the attitude determination with single GPS antenna. The second deals with the cockpit display module. The display was devised to integrate the Instrument Landing System(ILS) with tunnel-in-the-sky using virtual reality. With the display, pilot can achieve more safe landings. The last part is the digital map. We inserted digital mapinto our system and put direction indicator on the map using position information from GPS. It is very useful for pilot to find airports even in bad weather. Using the newly designed DGPS landing system, we conducted flight test at Kimhae International Airport, Pusan, Korea, It was successful ! Our system can also satisfy Category-I criterion for aircraft landing approach and determine attitude angle with a high level of reliability. It is supported by video materials.

      • Sperm Fertility of Transgenic Boar Harboring hEPO Gene is Decreased

        This study was conducted to compare the reproduction ability of the wild type boar and recombinant human erythropoietin (hEPO) transgenic boar semen. Ejaculated boar semen was analyzed by flow cytometry, Elisa and IVF methods. In experiment 1, flow cytometric analysis showed that the live sperm ratio of transgenic boar sperm significantly lower (P<0.05) than that of wild type boar after incubation at 20, 22, 24 and 26 hr. In experiment 2, the presence and levels of various cytokines (IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-α) to related animal reproduction in the seminal and blood plasma were examined using specific enzyme immunoassay. There was no significant difference between both groups. In experiment 3, the fertilizing capacity and developmental ability of both boar sperm were compared. The transgenic boar sperm had a significantly low capacity of penetration, sperm-zona binding, embryo development, and blastocyst formation compared to wild type sperm (P<0.05). These results suggest that transgenic boar sperm harboring hEPO gene has low sperm viability than wild type boar, and it is a reason to decrease of fertility and litter size.
