[논문]보육실습에서 프로젝트접근법에 대한 예비보육교사의 관심수준 변화 연구

본 연구는 예비보육교사가 보육실습이라는 과정에서 프로젝트 접근법에 대한 관심은 어떠하며, 관심변화 여부를 사례중심으로 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 예비보육교사를 대상으로 보육실습 사전과 사후검사를 실시하였으며, 자세하고 구체적인 사실과 연구의 질적인 부분을 찾아보고자 인터뷰하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 프로젝트에 대한 예비보육교사들의 관심은 전반적으로 무관심으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사전․사후검사 결과, 프로젝트 접근법에 대한 관심수준의 변화가 있었던 사례에서는 관심변화의 패턴도 다양하게 나타났으며, 관심변화가 크게 없었던 사례에서는 개인, 정보관심이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 프로젝트에 대한 예비보육교사의 관심수준은 보육환경, 보육과정, 실습지도 교사, 예비보육교사의 지각력, 프로젝트에 대한 사전지식이나 교육정도에 따라 다양하게 변할 수 있음을 알게 되었다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the case in which we can identify how the SoC of prospective child care teachers about the project approach changes and why these change appears during the child care practice when we assumpt that for prospective child care teachers to implement the project approach is that they participate in change during child care practice. In Case K, the SoC of the prospective child care teacher moves from Stage 0 awareness to Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4, and In Case M, the SoC moves from Stage 0 to Stage 1. In Case P, the SoC moves from Stage 1 to Stage 2, Stage 3, and in Case S, the SoC isn't changed. Above this, we identify the SoC of prospective child care teachers. Case K, M, and P changes SoC after child care practice, but Case S doesn't change. the reason why there is a difference is the mindset of prospective child care teachers. Anyone who wants to accomplish specific purposes can deal with diverse changes with flexibility, but others can easily have an effect on the changes. We suggest that instructor in organization for prospective child care teachers’ education need to have a class for prospective child care teachers to put theory into practice, give direct facilitation and intervention in the field to prospective child care teachers, make a learning environment for prospective child care teachers to make good use of teaching materials and instrument, develop guidebook for project approach and give support to prospective child care teachers.

Abstract – Aberrant crypt foci (ACF) are early imorphological changes observed in rodents after administration of colon-specific carcinogen such as azoxymethane (AOM). ACF are considered to be putative preneoplastic lesions and are widely used as a surrogate biomarker to rapidly evaluate chemopreventive potential of compounds. The size of colorectal cancer was evaluated after administration of three anticancer drugs, 1 parent drug and 2 prodrugs. The body weights of mice were measured daily and considered as a surrogate for evaluation of general wellbeing. Colons were removed, cut along the longitudinal axis and flushed with phosphate-buffered saline. Each colon was cut into three equal lengths and fixed flat between filter papers. The fixed colon sections were stained with methylene blue. The number of ACF per colon, the number of aberrant crypts observed in each focus and the location of each focus were recorded. After single administration of AOM and multiple doses of anticancer drugs, no significant changes in the body weights of the mice was observed which was recorded for 52 days. However, an expected ACF was not observed in any treated groups. These findings suggest the induction of ACF in mice requires the promotion by dextran sulfate sodium as well as the initiation by AOM.

Under the COVID-19 pandemic, interest in immune enhancement is increasing. Although the immune-enhancing activity of plants of the genus Hibiscus has been reported, there is no study on the immune-enhancing activity of H. syriacus. Thus, in this study, we investigated the immune-enhancing activity of Hibiscus syriacus leaves (HSL) in mouse macrophages, RAW264.7 cells, and immunosuppressed mice. HSL increased the production of immunostimulatory factors such as nitric oxide (NO), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and activated the phagocytosis in RAW264.7 cells. The HSL-mediated production of immunostimulatory factors was dependent on toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), p38, and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) in RAW264.7 cells. In the immunosuppressed mouse model, HSL increased the spleen index, the levels of the cytokines, and the numbers of lymphocytes, neutrophils, and monocytes. Taken together, HSL may be considered to have immune-enhancing activity and be expected to be used as a potential immune-enhancing agent.

Background: The Scoring Clinical Index for Onychomycosis (SCIO) is a scoring system to evaluate the severity of onychomycosis, but its validity has not been sufficiently elucidated. Objectives: To evaluate the changes of SCIO in toenail onychomycosis patients treated with itraconazole. Methods: A prospective 49-week, open-label, single-arm study was conducted in thirteen centers. Patients with toenail onychomycosis were enrolled, treated with three-pulse oral itraconazole therapy (200 milligram twice daily for 7 days at week 1, 5 and 9), and followed up until week 49. Results: Among 117 patients analyzed, the mean and standard deviation of SCIO were as follows: 20.7 ± 4.9 at baseline (week 1); 19.2 ± 6.0 at week 5; 17.3 ± 6.1 at week 9; 15.2 ± 5.9 at week 13; 12.7 ± 6.2 at week 25; 11.7 ± 6.3 at week 37; 11.9 ± 7.2 at week 49. The proportions of patents showing 10% or more improvements of SCIO compared to baseline were as follows: 25.6% at week 5; 50.4% at week 9; 71.8% at week 13; 84.6% at week 25; 86.3% at week 37; 80.3% at week 49. Mycological cure rates were 54.1% at week 13, 69.9% at week 25, 76.5% at week 37, and 75.5% at week 49. Conclusion: These results suggest that oral itraconazole therapy for toenail onychomycosis significantly decreases the SCIO, and shows a satisfactory mycological cure rate. Usefulness of Skin Explants for Histologic Analysis after Fractional Photothermolysis

Background: Fractional laser resurfacing treatment has been extensively investigated and is widely used. However, the mechanism underlying its effects is poorly understood because of the ethical and cosmetic problems of obtaining skin biopsies required to study the changes after laser treatment. Objective: To evaluate the usefulness of human skin explants for the investigation of fractional photothermolysis. Methods: Full-thickness discarded skin was treated in 4 ways: no treatment (control), fractional carbon dioxide laser, fractional Er:YAG laser, and fractional 1,550-nm erbium- doped fiber laser. Both treated and non-treated skin samples were cultured ex vivo at the air-medium interface for 7 days. Frozen tissue was sectioned and stained with hematoxylin & eosin for histologic examination and nitro blue tetrazolium chloride for viability testing. Results: Skin explants cultured for up to 3 days exhibited histologic changes similar to those observed in in vivo studies, including microscopic treatment zones surrounded by a thermal coagulation zone, re-epithelialization, and formation of microscopic epidermal necrotic debris. However, the explant structure lost its original form within 7 days of culture. The viability of skin explants was maintained for 3 days of culture but was also lost within 7 days. Conclusion: The skin explant model may be a useful tool for investigating the immediate or early changes following fractional photothermolysis, but further improvements are required to evaluate the long-term and dermal changes. Background: Despite the autologous serum skin test (ASST) and autologous plasma skin test (APST) is widely used test accessing whether a patient with chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) has autoreactivity or not, the clinician often encounter difficulty making correlation between the test result and clinical implications. Objective: This study was aimed to find any clinical and laboratory findings related to the ASST and APST response. Agreement and correlation between the two tests was also analyzed. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 300 CSU patients who underwent ASST, APST. The subjects were divided into four groups according to the skin test result. Also, the degree of serum and plasma response was recorded. Results: Both ASST and APST positive group had shorter duration of the disease, higher incidence of at least one episode of angioedema than negative group. There were no significant differences in the positivity for autoantibodies including antinuclear, ds-DNA, and thyroid-related between the two groups. The predicted positive rate of ASST and APST according to age showed bimodal peak and decreasing pattern according to disease duration. Predicted positivity of both tests declined with increase in total immunoglobuline E (IgE) level. In the correlation study, the two tests showed high correlation coefficients. Conclusion: ASST and APST positivity may be related to disease duration and severity of CSU. The two tests showed a generally consistent result. Autoreactivity may be gradually lost as disease continues. We suggest the autoreactivity in CSU could arise independently from IgE mediated immune process. (Ann Dermatol 32(4) 280∼288, 2020)
Is vitamin D associated with severity of atopic dermatitis? Pros

In recent years, there has been increasing interest in the role of vitamin D in skin diseases, and extensive laboratory and clinical studies have been conducted on the relationship between vitamin D and atopic dermatitis. A variety of immune cells, including macrophages, dendritic cells, and T and B lymphocytes, express receptors for vitamin D. In addition to its well-known role in calcium homeostasis, vitamin D plays a role in regulating both innate and adaptive immune systems, suggesting its potential immunomodulatory role in the process of allergic inflammation. Although the literature on the relationship between vitamin D and atopic dermatitis has shown various findings, numerous observational studies published so far showed the association between vitamin D deficiency and the risk of atopic dermatitis, and an inverse correlation between vitamin D levels and severity of atopic dermatitis. In addition, a number of randomized controlled trials have demonstrated that vitamin D supplementation in patients with atopic dermatitis resulted in significantly greater symptomatic improvement than placebo. Furthermore, the results from meta-analyses and systematic review of findings from previous clinical trials confirmed that vitamin D supplementation helps improve symptoms of atopic dermatitis. These evidences support that vitamin D is closely related to the severity of atopic dermatitis.
