Aflatoxin B₁ was known to have the strongest poisonous character among Aflatoxin compounds. To search the production of Aflatoxin B1 according to the change of temperature, relative humidity and incubation days, orange incubated with Aspergillus parasiticus KCCM 35078 was incubated at 20℃, 25℃, 30℃ at relative humidity 60%, 70%, 80% and for incubation time 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 days.. Production of Aflatoxin B₁ shows that the highest production appeared at 25℃ and its relative humidity 70%. The result that was quantitatively analyzed by using HPLC was 77.41ppm, and by using Fluoroscence detector was 87.87ppm. - Production of Aflatoxin B₁ shows that the lowest production appreared at 20℃ and its relative humidity 80%(HPLC), 60%(Fluoroscence detector). The result that was quantitatively analyzed by using HPLC was 4.47ppm, and by using Fluoroscence detector was 4.17ppm. The structure of Aflatoxin B₁ was identify with authentic sample by using instrumental analysis methods of GC/MS, ¹H-NMR, FT-IR respectively.
A Case of Papillary Thyroid Cancer Recurring as an Esophageal Submucosal Tumor

<P>A 75-year-old woman who underwent a total thyroidectomy for papillary thyroid cancer 7 years previously presented with a palpable neck mass. Computed tomography (CT) showed two metastatic masses on the thyroid bed and another mass that looked benign originating from the esophageal wall. Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) showed a hypoechoic mass in the esophageal wall that looked similar to a gastrointestinal stromal tumor. The mass on the esophagus had intense fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake in positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT), which suggested the possibility of malignancy. Subsequently, after surgery, the mass in the esophagus was confirmed as a metastasis from the thyroid papillary carcinoma. Here we report this unusual case of papillary thyroid cancer that recurred as an esophageal submucosal tumor.</P>

The moisture contained in conventionally extracted red crab shell samples was lower than than in samples extracted using high pressure. In contrast, ash content increased as the extraction time increased and displayed no significant variation in high pressure extraction. Extraction time was influential, with lower lightness (L-value) being obtained in samples extracted at high pressure as compared to traditional extraction. However, large variation in a-and b-values resulted from traditional extraction. For both traditional and high pressure extraction increases in pH, salinity and saocharide content were noted with increasing extraction time, but these parameters did not vary substantially in red crab shell extracted at high pressure. The mineral content in samples extracted by high pressure was higher than in traditionally extracted samples. The mineral content increased with time, with marginally higher contents of essential amino acids and flavor enhancing amino acids noted following high pressure extraction. The contents of the flavor enhancing amino acids increased from 30?60 min, thereafter decreasing. Assessment of consumer acceptance revealed that, while traditionally manufactured red crab sauce was popular, sauce manufactured using a 60 min high pressure extraction was preferred. Extending the high pressure extraction time to 75 min produced a less sensory acceptable product, due to higher mineral and protein levels.

<P>Since vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is known to be a potent pro-angiogenic factor, we evaluated the potential association of two <I>VEGF</I> gene polymorphisms (-634G>C and 936C>T) with the susceptibility and the clinicopathologic characteristics of colorectal cancer (CRC). The <I>VEGF</I> genotypes were determined using fresh colorectal tissue from 465 patients who had undergone a surgical resection and peripheral blood lymphocytes from 413 healthy controls by PCR/DHPLC assay. For the -634G>C polymorphism, the -634 GC or CC genotype was associated with a decreased risk of CRC (odds ratio [OR], 0.62; <I>p</I>=0.001) as a dominant model of C allele, whereas the 936 TT genotype correlated with advanced stage/ metastasis, a high serum level of CA19-9, and an higher grade in patients with CRC. In the haplotype analyses, haplotype -634C/936C and -634G/936T were associated with a decreased susceptibility of CRC (OR, 0.53 and 0.56; <I>p</I><0.001, respectively). These observations imply that the <I>VEGF</I> gene polymorphisms may be associated with the susceptibility or clinicopathologic features of CRC. However, further studies of other <I>VEGF</I> sequence variants and their biological functions are needed to understand the role of the <I>VEGF</I> gene polymorphisms in the development and progression of CRC.</P>
Thermal Evaporation법으로 제조한 NiCr 박막의 증착 특성

NiCr thin films were fabricated by thermal evaporation method using NiCr alloy as evaporating source. NiCr thin films were annealed at various temperatures in air atmosphere in order to investigate effects of annealing conditions on phase change, composition, and microstructures of NiCr films. Typical multilayer was formed after annealing in air atmosphere. This results from the diffusion and oxidation of Cr toward surface during annealing. In the case of annealing at 700$^{\circ}C$, large columnar grains of NiO were formed on Cr-oxide layer through the diffusion and oxidation of Ni over Cr-oxide layer. Especially, NiO layer was formed additionally on surface, sustaining the underlayer structure with the formation of porous Ni layer. NiCr 합금을 열증발원으로 사용한 thermal evaporation법으로 NiCr박막을 $Al_2$O$_3$/Si 기판 위에 증착시켰다. 이 때 동일한 량의 NiCr 합금을 1회에 모두 증착하는 방법과, l/2씩 2회 증착하는 방법으로 NiCr 박막을 각각 증착시켜, 박막의 미세구조에 따른 막의 특성변화를 고찰하였으며, 열처리 온도에 따른 NiCr 박막의 상 변화, 조성변화 및 미세구조 변화를 XRD, AES 및 FE-SEM으로 각각 분석하였다. 열처리 과정에서 박막내부에 존재하는 Cr 성분이 표면 쪽으로 확산하여 산화됨으로써 Cr산화층/Ni 층/Cr 산화층의 전형적인 다층구조를 형성함을 알 수 있었으며, 특히, $700^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 Ni 층이 Cr산화층을 통하여 표면 쪽으로 확산됨으로써 표면에 원주형 결정립을 가지는 NiO 층을 형성하였다. 특히 Ni 층이 확산 전의 구조를 유지한 채 표면에 추가적인 NiO층이 형성되는데, 이는 형성된 Cr산화층의 확산이 상대적으로 Ni 층에 비하여 어려운데 기인한다.

Background: Dupilumab, a fully human anti-IL-4Rα mAb, inhibits signaling of IL-4/IL-13, key drivers of type 2/Th2-mediated diseases, such as AD/asthma. Objectives: We report efficacy and safety of dupilumab in Korean patients (pts) with moderate-to-severe AD in a randomized, placebo (PBO)-controlled, multinational phase 3 trial (SOLO 2: NCT02277769). Methods: Pts were randomized 1:1:1 to subcutaneous dupilumab 300mg every 2 weeks (wks; q2w), weekly (qw), or PBO qw, for 16 wks. Results: 708 pts were randomized; 80 were Korean. In the Korean population, more dupilumab-treated pts achieved Investigator’s Global Assessment 0/1 vs PBO at Wk 16 (primary endpoint; q2w/qw vs PBO: 33.3%/33.3% vs 0.0%; both P=0.0018), ≥75% improvement in Eczema Area and Severity Index (29.6%/40.7% vs 7.7%; P=0.0764/P=0.0091) and peak pruritus numerical rating scale ≥4-point improvement from baseline at Wk 16 vs PBO (33.3%/34.6% vs 3.8%; P=0.0113/P=0.0109) (key secondary). Dupilumab also improved Patient Oriented Eczema Measure and Dermatology Life Quality Index vs PBO at Wk 16 (both P<0.01) (secondary). Adverse events (AEs) were reported in 12/27 (q2w) and 8/27 pts (qw) vs 17/26 pts (PBO), none were serious. AD was the most common AE, occurring less frequently in the dupilumab groups vs PBO (4/27 and 4/27 pts vs 16/26 pts). Conclusion: The efficacy and acceptable safety profile of dupilumab in Korean pts were generally consistent with the overall study population.
