        Human papillomavirus (HPV) has been considered a causative agent of uterine cervical carcinoma. HPV is a DNA oncogenic virus, which is well known as a causative virus in uterine cervical carcinoma. The virus is classified into two groups genotypically, low risk and high risk, according to the carcinogenic potentiality, and the determination of the viral genotype is important in clinical practice. Recently, numerous genotypes can be determined by high throughput method using DNA chip. Survivin is a recently characterized inhibitor of anti-apoptosis (IAP) protein, which is abundantly expressed in most solid and hematological malignancies, but undetectable in normal adult tissues. In this study, HPV genotypes are determined by DNA chip and the expression of survivin was examined by immunohistochemistry in 80 cases of uterine cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and invasive carcinoma to see the roles of HPV and survivin in the carciogenesis of uterine cervical epithelial neoplasia. The results were as follows: 1. HPV positive rate was 72.5%, while negative rate was 27.5% in 80 cases of CIN and invasive carcinoma. The CIN and invasive carcinoma showed higher HPV positive rate (p <0.05). 2. HPV positive rate according to the histologic grade were 60%, 65%, 77% and 90% in CINI, CINII, CINII and invasive carcinoma, respectively. HPV positive rate showed increasing tendency according to the histologic grade, though there was no statistical significance. 3. The most frequent genotype was type 16 and the next were 58, 52, 18 and 33 in order of frequency. 4. Survivin was expressed in 96.3% of CIN and invasive carcinoma. The expression rate of survivin showed no significant difference between the histologic grade of CIN and invasive carcinoma, but showed tendency of increased expression rate in invasive carcinoma. 5. Survivin was expressed in HPV positive and in HPV negative each as in 95.5% and 96.6% respectively. There was no significant difference of survivin expression between HPV positive and negative cases. The above results suggest that HPV has no effect on the regulation of survivin expresson level in the uterine cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and invasive carcinomas.

        This paper describes the locomotion method of Walking robots by introducing two robots, a biped walking robot and a quadraped walking robot, whnch we have manufactured. The biped robot made of LEGO MINDSTORM has bean destined to have the minimal number of actuator. It presents a locomotion method in which robots can walk with a few actuators. The Quadraped Walking robot has three dgree of freedom per a leg, and use RC Servo motor as actuator. we researched walking pattern of quadrated walking robot through this robot. In this paper we also discuss the problems of developing walking robots and solutions.

        금속 도재 수복물을 이용한 청년기 법랑질 이형성증 환자의 수복증례

        전반적인 치아변색과 치아마모가 심한 환자들이 심미를 위해 전치부 치료를 원하는 경우가 있다. 이런 경우 법랑질 이형성증에 대해 의심해 보아야 하며 임상 검사 및 방사선 검사를 통해 확인을 해야 한다. 법랑질 이형성증으로 판단된 경우 단지 심미적 목적 하에 전치부 치료만 하는 것은 바람직하지 못하다. 본 증례는 법랑질 이형성증으로 진단된 청년기 환자에서 대부분의 치아를 금속 도재 수복물로 치료하였다. 전반적인 변색 및 마모, 치관 파절이 있었으며, 좌측 전치부와 구치부에 교차교합이 있었다. 심미적, 기능적인 개선을 목적으로 하여 치아를 수복하였다. 전치부의 교차교합은 해소하였고, 구치부의 교차교합은 해소하지 않은 채로 진행하였다. 수복 이후 환자는 심미적, 기능적으로 만족하였으며, 3개월간의 임상관찰에서 특이할 문제없이 안정적으로 유지되어 보고하고자 한다. Some patients with generalized attrition and teeth discoloration may want their anterior teeth to be treated just for esthetic improvement. Ameologenesis imperfecta, however, should be considered for such patients prior to any treatment with thorough clinical and radiographic examination. If a patient is diagnosed with amelogenesis imperfecta, the treatment on anterior teeth just for esthetic purpose is not advisable. In this case, a young man with amelogenesis imperfecta was treated with metal-ceramic restorations. The patient had generalized attrition, teeth discoloration, crown fracture, and cross-bite on the left teeth. The ultimate objective of this treatment was to enhance esthetics and masticatory function. The cross-bite on the left anterior teeth was treated with restorations, whereas the reverse horizontal overlap was maintained on the posterior. The patient was satisfied with the result esthetically and functionally, and the third month recall examination revealed no pathologic changes associated with the treatment.

        As factory automation is rapidly propelled, automatic manufacturing facility is developing widely. But the development of ATE(Automatic Test Equipment) is not reached than that of it. In this paper, we designed intermodule interface for measurment device for computer and CAT(Computer Aided Test) for automatic testing device of spectrum analyzer and implemented real time processing program for control of measurement device. OOP(Object Oriented programming) technique was used in control program to be interfaced with other measurement equipment easily. And we constructed of GUI(Graphical User Interface) method that can be used softwere for user.

      • 자연환경방사선에 의한 피폭선량(유효선량당량)의 종합적 해석연구

        자연환경방사선의 세 가지 주요 요소인 지각방사선, 우주선 전리성분 및 라돈과 그 자핵종이 주는 선량을 측정, 해석하였는 바 18개월간에 걸쳐 대전, 수원, 경산 지역에 대하여 수행하고 이를 종합하여 유효선량당량으로 평가하였다. 지각방사선과 우주선 전리성분 측정을 위하여 3"∮×3" Nal(Tl) 섬광검출기와 휴대형 다중파고분석기를 이용한 감마선 분광분석 및 ^7LiF PTEE disk TLD에 의한 적산선량측정을 병행하였고, 공기중 라돈농도의 측정은 CR-39 고체비적검출기를 내장한 라돈컵을 설계제작하여 사용하였으며 비적수 라돈농도 교정인자는 스웨덴 국립방사선 방호연구소의 표준 라돈 챔버내에서 조사하여 결정하였다. 세 지역의 가연방사선에 의한 유효선량당량에는 약간의 수치적 차이는 있었으나 본질적 차이는 찾아볼 수 없었으며 지역 측정치의 분산가중 평균치는 지각방사선 (463±3)uSvㆍy^-1[(52.9±0.3)nSvㆍh^-1], 우주선 전리성분 (287±15)uSvㆍy^-1[(32.8±1.7)nSvㆍy^-1]로 외부 피폭이 (775±9)uSvㆍy^-1[(88.5±1.0)nSvㆍy^-1]였으며 라돈과 그 자핵종에 의한 내부피폭은 (1973±298)uSvㆍy^-1[(225.2±34.0)nSvㆍy^-1]였다. 따라서 자연황경방사선에 의한 여간 총 선량당량은 (2762±296)uSvㆍy^-1[(315.3±34.0)nSvㆍh^-1]로 평가되었는데 이 값들은 UN보고서^(11)에 나온 “정상적 자연방사선 지역”의 값과 비교할 만한 타당한 값으로 나타났다. Assessment of effective dose equivalent from natural environmental radiation that consists of terrestrial gamma­ray, ionizing component of cosmic­ray and alpha­rays of atmospheric radon and its decay products has been carried out for 18 months in Daejeon, Suwon and Kyungsan areas. A 3"∮×3"cylindrical Nal(Ti) scintillation detector in association with portable multichannel analyser and ^7LiF PTFE disk TLDs were used for the measurement of terrestrial gamma­ray and cosmic­ray ionizing component, while self­designed radon­cups with CR-39 SSNTD attached to the inside bottom were used for the integral measurement of at­mospheric radon concentration. Determination of calibration factor for converting track density of CR-39 detector to radon concentration was made by irradiation of radon­cups in the standard radon chamber of Swedish National Institute of Radiation Protection. Although resultant effective dose equivalents of three different measurment points show minor numerical differences, no essential discripancy between the places was found. The variance weighted means of the annual effective dose equivalents of each component of radiation from the tree places came out to be: (463±3)uSvㆍy^-1[(52.9±0.3)nSvㆍy^-1] for terrestrial gamma­ray, (287±15)uSvㆍy^-1[(32.8±1.7)nSvㆍy^-1] for ionizing component of cosmic­ray and (1973±298)uSvㆍy^-1[(225.2±34.0)nSvㆍy^-1] for internal exposure of radon and its decay products. Consequent total effective dose equivalent turned out to be (2762±298)uSvㆍy^-1[(315.3±34.0)nSvㆍy^-1], which if reasonably comparable with that appeared in UNSCEAR Report^[11]as per caput annual effective dose equivalent in “areas of normal back ground radiation.”

        Cellulose Nitrate 固體飛跡檢出器의 腐蝕條件

        알파입자 검출을 위한 고체 비적 검출기인 CA 8-15와 LR 115-1은 그 부식조건이 검출기 제조회사에서 이미 주어지고는 있으나 이들 검출기에 대한 최적부식에 관한 실험적 검토를 다시 행하였는바 최적부식시간에 현저한 차이가 있음을 발견하였다. 검출기의 방사선 조사는 이미 설정된 기하학적 배치조건하에서 0.1μCi수준의 ?? 알파선원으로 수행하였다. 부식시간과 용액 농도의 함수로서의 비적크기에 대한 분석과 검출기에 검출된 단위면적당 비적의 이론적 기대치에 대한 비교 조사를 행하였으며, 입사 알파입자의 유효 에너지에 대한 검출효율의 변화에 대해서도 연구하였다. An experimental study for an optimum etching of commercialized cellulose nitrate SSNTD, CA 80-15 and LR 115-1 for detecting alpha particles, was carried out. Although ordinary etching condition of the detectors has been recommended by the producer, a remarkable discrepancy in etching time was found. The detectors were irradiated with a 0.1μCi ?? alpha source under a known geometrical arrangement. Analysis on the track size as functions of etching time and etchant concentration and comparative examination of theoretically predicted number of tracks per unit area with that recorded on the detectors were made, including a study on the variation of detection efficiency with the effective energy of the incident alpha particles.

      • Baculovirus Vector System에 의해 발현된 재조합 Pseudorabies Virus Major Capsid Protein의 면역원성

        The recombinant pseudorabies virus major capsid protein (rMCP) was produced by expression of the MCP gene in Sf-9 cell using baculovirus transfer vector system. Following evaluation of the immunochemical properties of the rMCP, the immunogenicity of the recombinant subunit protiens were investigated in guinea pig and swine to obtain the preliminary guide line for the subunit vaccine using rMCP and gP50. It was proved that ultrasonication and 30% ammonium sulfate was most efficient to concentrate and purify the protein. The rMCP was safe in mice, guinea pigs and piglets. In guinea pigs, rMCP mixed with various adjuvants induced substantial degree of serum neutralizing antibody titers, but revealed incomplete protecivity against challenge. In swine, the combination of rMCP and gP50 showed the higher serum neutralizing antibody titers and cellular immune responses than rMCP alone. However, the protectivity was lower in comparison with the commercial gI-deleted inactivated vaccine. We expect these results to contribute to characterization of MCP gene of Korean isolate of PRV and to ultilize as preliminary information for prodution and evaluation of PRV recombinant subunit vaccines.

        유압구동 습동재의 마찰면 형상특징 해석에 관한 연구

        It is known that fractal theory has recently been used as a useful in the characterization of surface texture and the understanding of tribological phenomena such as friction, wear and lubrication. The fractal-based method for describing the rubbed surface texture has roused great interest. In this paper, the fractal descriptors was applied to rubbed surface of hydraulic driving material with image processing system in order to describe morphology of the rubbed surface. The results showed that the fractal dimension can be determined by sum of intensity difference of surface pixel. The two step size to get fractal dimension is similar to surface roughness Ra. Fractal dimensions of the rubbed surfaces increase with an increase of applied load. Morphology of the rubbed surface driving in lubricant can be effectively obtained by fractal dimensions.

      • Cs-137 γ-선 조사장치의 방사선장 해석연구

        In reference to the ISO-4037 and ANSI N13.11, appropriateness of the shielding and collimating system, and suitability of the irradiation and its environmental conditions of a 20 Ci Cs-137 gamma-ray irradiator installed in Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety(KINS) were investigated. Upon the installation of the irradiator, condition of collimator alignment and virtual beam cross section were examined by use of a portable He-Ne laser. In order to evaluate the fitness of the secondary(scattered) to primary ratio of the collimated gamma-ray beam from the irradiator in light of ISO and ANSI requirement, the measurements of the secondary to primary ratio were performed by use of a cavity type ion chamber which had been calibrated in a calibration laboratory that maintains reliable traceability. For the theoretical assessment of the gamma-ray field the collimated beam were divided into fifteen sectors and for each sector the secondary to primary ratio and the gamma-ray spectrum was simulated by means of Monte Carlo method. The outcomes were compared with the experimental results, and cause of scattering and the existence of alleged modifying factors in the irradiator were examined.

      • 히스토아크릴을 이용한 십이지장 궤양 출혈의 지혈 후 발생한 급성췌장염

        Upper gastrointestinal bleeding is common and potentially life threatening medical emergency. Emergency endoscopy is the first choice of diagnostic and treatment measure for patients with active upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Histoacryl should be considered a second-line treatment modality when conventional treatments were failed. However, it might cause several complications. Herein, we report a case of acute pancreatitis developed after histoacryl injection therapy for active duodenal ulcer bleeding. A 71-year-old man was admitted with melena and hematemesis. On emergency endoscopy, a 2 cm sized active ulcer with bleeding from an exposedvessel was seen at the duodenal bulb. Attempts to arrest the bleeding with hemoclipping and submucosal epinephrine injection were tried, but failed. We changed the method to endoscopic histoacryl injection, and obtained hemostasis immediately. A few hourslater, after successful hemostasis, patient complained diffuse abdominal pain. Ultrasonography revealed hyperechoic heterogenous diffuse pancreatic enlargement and right pararenal space fluid collection, this ultrasonographic findings and elevated serum pancreatic enzymes are compatible with acute pancreatitis.
