        The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction for antismoking campaign, the appropriate training habits and control by investigating the effect of smoking habits and training habits to serum total cholesterol(STC). This investigation applied, to 520 healthy men, out-Patients at K hospital comprehensive health center in Sungbuk-Gu, Seoul with questionnaires, based on interview and self-report related to smoking habits and training habits. In this study the means and standard deviations for all items were calculated based on the data. The data verified through Independent Group t-test and Independent Group one way ANOVA with SPSS for Window Release 7.5. The significant level for verification of hypothesis was 5%. The result of this study are as follows: 1. The difference in level of STC in smoking group and non-smoking group. The smoking group contained higher level of STC by 23.31mg/dl, which was significantly different in statistics(p<.05). 2. The difference in level of STC in training group and non-training group. The training group contained higher level of STC by 27.72mg/dl, which was significantly different in statistics(p<.05). 3. The difference in level of STC in I group(non-smoking with training), II group(non-smoking with non-training), Ⅲgroup(smoking with training), IV group(smoking with non-training). The level of STC was lowest in I group and highest in Ⅳgroup, which was significantly different in statistics(p<.05). 4. The difference in level of STC in smoking with training group and smoking with non-training group by the amount of smoking per day and the duration of smoking. Regardless of the duration of smoking, the smoking with non-training group contained higher level of serum total cholesterol, which was significantly different in statistics(p<.05). In conclusion, training have an effect on the level of smoker's STC and smoking with non-training is a chief risk factor for disease related to STC. Considering the relation between smoking and training, smoking with training approved to be effective in decreasing the level of STC. Even for smokers with regular training or regular training or reducing the amount of smoking with regular training will be effective in preventing disease related to STC.

        상악 제1대구치 근심협측 치근의 근관계에 관한 연구

        This study is to investigate the canal system in the mesiobuccal root of the maxillry first molar. 61 maxillary first molars were randomly selected. Serial transverse sections were made perpendicular to the long axis of the mesiobuccal root. Each section was placed in 3% sodium hypochlorite for 24 hours and rinsed in water and dried. The resected surface was stained with 2% methylene blue dye and examined with stereomicroscope. 1. Canal configuration analysis showed that 36.1% of the specimen classified as type Ⅰ, 16.4% as type Ⅱ, 37.7% as type Ⅲ and 9.8% as type Ⅳ. 2. Type Ⅱ canal was merged in one canal within 1 to 4mm of the apex. 40% of type Ⅱ cnal coverged at 2mm of the apex. 3. Type Ⅳ canal was divided into two canal within 2 to 4mm of the apex. 66.6% of type Ⅳ canal branched off at 2mm of the apex. 4. None of the sections had more than two main root canal. 5. 48.4% of the sections in 3mm with two canals contained an isthmusand more than 70% with two canals has isthmus at 4 to 5mm sections. 63.9% of the mesiobuccal root of maxillary first molar had two canaland 76.% of sections with two canals in 5MM had an isthmus. Because of this complexity the clinician should always search for extra canal carefullyand root canal system, including an isthmus, should be cleaned and shaped completelyand obturated three dimensionally for successful endodontic treatment.

      • Low Integral-Fin Tube의 응축액 억류와 열전달 특성에 관한 연구

        Heat transfer performance affected by condensate retention is studied for condensation of R-11 on horizontal integral-fin tubes Eight tubes with trapezoidally shaped integral fins having fin density from 748fpm to 1654fpm and 10, 30 grooves are tested. The liquid retention angles are measured by height gauge. A author tested each tube in two different fluids(water,R-11) under static(non condensing)condition and R-11 fluid under dynamic(condensing)condition. The analytical mode predict most of the test data for water and R-11 on 19mm dia integral-fin tubes within +8 percent difference. The average retention angle increases with the increase of both surface tension-to-density rario(σ/ρ) and fin density(fpm). The tube having a fin density of 1299 -1654fpm has the best heat transfer performance. In this case, the amount of surface flooding ranges 32-40%. Hence, for the best heat transfer performance at condensation, the amount of surface flooding must maintain under the range of 32 -40%. Refrigerants having high values of σ/ρ (water, NH_(3) etc.), fin density must be small while refrigerants having low values of σ/ρ(R-11, R-22 etc), fin density may be largy.

      • 증발기용 튜브의 내부 나선홈에 의한 열전달 특성과 압력손실에 관한 연구

        Heat transfer performance improvement by fin and grooves is studied for evaporation of R-11 on integral-fin tubes. Eight tubes with trapezoidally shaped integral-fins having fin density from 748 to 1654fpm and 10, 30 grooves are tested. A plain tube having the same diameter as the finned tubes is also used for comparison. R-11 evaporate at saturation state of 23.6 C on the outside tube surface hotted by inside water flow. All of test data are taken at steady state. The heat transfer loop is used for testing single long tubes and hot water is pumped from a hot water boiler through filters and flowmeters to the horizontal test section where it is hotted by boiling on the outside of the tubes. The pressure drop across the test section is measured by means pressure gauge and manometer. The results obtained in this study is as follows : 1. Based on inside dimeter and nominal inside area, overall heat transfer coefficients of finned tube are enhansed up to 1.6-2.1 times that of a plain tube at a constant Reynolds number. 2. Friction factors are up to 1.6-2.1 times those of plain tubes. 3. The constant pumping power ratio for the low integral-fin tubes increase directly with the effective area to the nominal area ratio, and with the effective area diameter ratio. 4. A tube having a fin density of 1299fpm(fin per meter) and 30 grooves has the best heat transfer performance.

        In textured material, diffraction angle 2θ usually shows a nonlinear relation against sin^2Ψ due to elastic anisotropy of crystals. SPHD and SPCD steel is cold-rolled carbon steel for automobile. The characteristics X-ray for stress measurement is Cr K_α and Mo K_α1characteristic X-ray. The sin^2Ψ-2θ diagram under elastic strain seems to have a linear behavior using regression line of data but has a nonlinear behavior in distribution of data by Cr K_αcharacteristic X-ray. As the plastic strain of specimen increases, the nonlinearity of 2θ with respect to sin^2Ψ increases remarkably. On the other hand, the diffraction angle 2 θ by Mo K_α1 characteristic X-ray shows a good linearity on sin^2Ψ-2θ diagram under plastic strain as well as elastic strain. Therefore, This paper presents the measurement of residual stress in cold-rolled carbon steel for automobile using penetration depth of Mo K_α1 charateristic X-ray and multiplicity factor of crystal diffraction plane.

        Depressive disorder is prevalent illness. When depressive symptoms become qualitatively different, pervasive, or interfere with normal function, they are considered to be pathological. Major depressive disorder is defined as depressed mood or anhedonia lasting at least two weeks plus a set number of psychologic or physical symptoms. Dysthymia has fewer symptoms than major depression and is a chronic illness lasting at least two years. A condition known as depressive disorder not otherwise specified includes conditions that do not have enough symptoms (fewer than five) or are of insufficient duration to be considered major depressive disorder. Depression is second only to hypertension as the most common chronic condition encountered in general medical practice. A diagnosis of depressive disorder can be complicated by concomitant illnesses or medications that mimic the symptoms of depression. The keys to successful management of depression include thorough screening, patient engagement and education, early follow-up of adherence to the treatment plan and careful monitoring of response. By putting these strategies into practice, family physicians can provide excellent care for their depressed patients and, in many cases, help them achieve lasting remissions.

        Ultrasonic inspection of defects has been focused on the existence of defect in structural material and need has much time and expenses in inspecting all the coordinates (x, y) on material surface. Neural networks is information processing system modeling human brain and can have an application to coordinates (x, y) of defects by multi-point inspection method. Ultrasonic inspection modeling is optimized by neural networks which makes defect echo, back-wall echo and ultrasonic transducer units of input layer and absolute and relative coordinates of defects and defect pattern units of output layer. This method can predict coordinates (x, y) of defects within engineering estimated mean error Ψ.
