        Single and 4 weeks oral administration of New wonbangwoohwangchungsimwon (NSCH) which was used l-muscone as substitutive material of musk, to beagle dogs of both sexes were performed to investigate both acute and subacute toxicity. Beagle dogs (3 males and 3 females) in acute experiments were administered orally with sinlge dose of 2,000 ㎎/㎏ and groups of 9 male and 9 female beagle dogs in subacute experiments were given daily different dosage of NSCH, 160 ㎎/㎏/day (low dosage group), 400 ㎎/㎏/day (middle dosage group), 1,000 ㎎/㎏/day (high dosage group) once a day for 4 weeks by oral route according to the Established Regulation of Korea Food and Drug Administration (1996. 4. 16). LD_50 value for beagle dogs was more than 2,000 ㎎/㎏ per oral for both male and females. In animals administered with NSCH, there were neither dead animals nor significant changes of body weights. In addition, no differences were found between control and treated groups in clinical sign, urinalysis, eye examination, hematology, serum chemistry, organ weight and other fingings. No histological lesions were observed in both control and treatment groups. Above data strongly suggset that NSCH in beagle dogs is considered to be safe.

      • 다운홀 시험결과의 신뢰도 향상을 위한 자료해석법

        파의 부정확한 도달시점에 의해 전단파의 속도가 결정된다면, 동적 탄성계수 또한 부정확하게 된다. 반면, 전단파의 도달시점을 정확히 결정하여 전단파 속도 측정의 정확성을 향상할 수 있다면, 상대적으로 신뢰성이 작지만, 경제적이고 효율적인 다운홀 실험의 적용성을 극대화시킬 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 다운홀 시험에서 전단파 속도를 가장 정확하게 결정하는 방법을 결정하기 위해서 현재 적용가능한 도해법, 최대곡률법, 상호교차법, 상호상관법, 위상속도법 등을 비교검토하였다. 또한, 각 깊이에서의 전단파 전파시간으로부터 전단파 속도 주상도를 결정하기 위한 다운홀 해석법인 직접법, 수정 간접법, 역산 해석법 등과 신뢰도가 높은 SASW실험결과를 비교하였다. 그 결과 전달파 전파시간의 결정은 최대곡률법과 교차상관법이 적합한 것으로 판단되었고, 다운홀 해석 법으로는 Snell 법칙을 이용하는 역산해석 법이 신뢰도가 높은 것으로 판단되었다. In case of visual measurement of velocity, there is a potential error for the arrival point of shear wave. Consequently, the error causes incorrect results in the evaluation of dynamic modulus. The disadvantage of downhole test can be improved, if the velocity of shear wave is exactly chosen by arrival point of the wave. Thus, in this study, visual method, cross-over method, cross-correlation method and phase of cross spectrum method were used to find the most reliable procedure for the determination of the S-wave velocity Also, to provide the reliable interpretation procedure to evaluate the S-wave velocity profile from travel times at depths, the results of the direct method, the modified interval method, arid the inversion method were compared with the results of SASW measurments. As a result, the modified interval method and the inversion method based on Snell's method turned out to be the reliable procedures to determine the S-wave velocity profile from the travel times of the S-wave at depths.

        알코올의존 환자에서 할로페리돌이 음주갈망에 미치는 영향

        할로페리돌이 음주갈망과 음주저항능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 본 연구를 실시하였다. 대상 환자는 남자 알코올 의존 환자 18명으로, 무작위로 9명씩 두 군으로 나누어 한 군에는 위약을, 또 한 군에는 할로페리돌을 1일 5mg을 14일간 투여하였다. 실험 1일과 14일에 음주갈망과 음주저항의 어려움을 각기 4차씩 측정하였다. 1차는 기초 음주갈망 및 음주저항의 어려움을 측정하고, 2차는 투약 후, 3차는 100% 알코올 0.4gm/체중kg의 음주 후 및 4차는 동량의 두번째 음주후에 각기 측정하였다. 결과는 아래와 같다. 1) 급성 약물 투여시, 위약군에서는 1차 및 2차 음주 후 음주갈망이 유의하게 상승하였으나, 할로페리돌군에서는 음주갈망에 변화가 없었다. 2) 장기 약물 투여시, 위약군과 할로페리돌군에서 다 같이 음주 후 음주갈망이 증가하였다. 3) 할로페리돌은 급성투여시에는 음주저항능력이 저하되지 않았으나, 장기 투여시에는 음주저항능력이 오히려 감소되었다. 이상의 결과에서 할로페리돌의 급성치료는 알코올 의존 환자의 음주갈망을 감소시켰으나, 그러한 급성효과는 장기치료로 지속되지 않고 감소 내지 소실됨을 관찰할 수 있었다. Objectives : This study was aimed at investigating the effect of haloperidol on alcohol craving in patients with alcohol dependence. Methods : Eighteen patients with alcohol dependence were divided randomly into two groups of nine patients each : one haloperidol group and the other, placebo group. The medication of each group was done for 14 days. Alcohol craving and difficulty in resisting drinking were measured on day 1 and day 14, each consisting of a series of four assessments. Assessment 0 was basal levels. Assessment 1 was made 3 hours after medication. Assessment 2 was made after alcohol intake in a dose of 0.4gm of 100% alcohol/kg body weight and assessment 3 was done after the second alcohol intake in the same amount. Results : The results were as follows : 1) With acute treatment, placebo group showed a significant increase in alcohol craving whereas haloperidol group did not show any change after the first and second alcohol intake. 2) With chronic treatment, both groups showed significant increase in the alcohol craving after alcohol intake. 3) Haloperidol did not increase difficulty in resisting drinking after acute treatment however, with chronic treatment, it resulted in a significant increase of the difficulty in resisting drinking. Conclusions : From these results, the authors suggest that an acute treatment of haloperidol lowers alcohol craving in patients with alcohol dependence, but the effect does not maintain itself with chronic treatment.

        조선업 근로자의 누적외상성질환 실태와 누적외상성질환 범용 작업위험도 평가도구를 이용한 작업분석

        Cumulative trauma disorders were surveyed in a cross-sectional study of 100 male shipyard workers an 43 male office workers. And baseline checklist for risk assessment of cumulative trauma disorders was applicated in a ship making process. Cases of cumulative trauma disorders were defined using physical examinations and electronic diagnostic mathods. Data on demographics, individual factors(medical condition), work organization and psychosocial aspects of work were obtained by questionnaire. Association between the above factors and cumulative trauma disorders were assessed by multiple logistic regression models. 29(29%) participants of male shipyard workers and 4(9.2%) study subjects of male office workers met our case definitions for cumulative trauma disorders. The myofascial pain syndrome of neck muscles(12% of participants) and carpal tunnel syndrome(5% of participants) were the major two medical conditions in shipyard workers. The odds of male shipyard workers for cumulative trauma disorders to male office workers was 3.15 after adjustment of age(95% C. I. : 2.25-5.44). And the variables such as duration of present job, HIVD condition, and surges in workload were associated at least one of the cumulative trauma disorders in the final models(p<0.05). This study indicates that workrelated upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders are relatively common among shipyard workers, and shows that the psychosocial factors is not likely to be related to the occurrences of these disorders in heavy workers. Also we developed baseline checklist for risk assessment of cumulative trauma disorders. The checklist was unique in that its expected users were industrial hygienists and occupational healthing nurses who did not have much ergonomic background and in that it was targeted to Korean workers in various types. As the first application of the checklist, shipyard workers were evaluated.

        서울시 지하철 역사내부의 음향특성평가에 관한 연구

        This study aims at providing useful data for the design of underground stations through an extensive survey of acoustic properties in underground stations in Seoul. In order to improve the sound efficiency at the underground station, sound characteristics in the space of the underground station were studied. Architectural features of underground stations located in Seoul were examined by visiting every site and analyzing drawings. The distinction in architectural features of this study resulted in the line-side section, the shape of under-platform section and ceiling material. Number of underground stations was selected and categorized based on architectural features, such as line-side section, the shape of platform section and ceiling material. Each selected station was revisited and the noise levels were measured and compared with the architectural features. The study found that the Sum-Sik type is more efficient than the one of the Sang-Dae-Sik type, which can be used for subway stations. The semi-circular section for the railway-side seems to contribute on the attenuation of noise transmitting from trains to the platform. In addition, the aluminum absorbing panel, net luber and zinc plate (panel 40% and net 60%) as ceiling meterial are more efficient than the horizontal aluminum spendral panel, vertical aluminum spendral panel with line and zinc plate (panel 40% and net 60%), respectively.

        Edwardsiella tarda에 대한 계란난황항체의 분리와 정제

        Edwardsiella tarda로 면역한 닭은 난황항체(IgY) 정제 방법을 비교하였다. Anti-E.tarda IgY의 정제는 PEG법, chloroform-PEG법, ammonium sulfate법과 정제 kit를 사용한 4가지 다른 방법으로 실시하였다. 정제된 I&Y는 64kDa의 heavy chain과 27 kDa의 light chain을 나타내었다. E.tarda로 면역된 IgY는 면역되지 않은 대조 IgY보다 높은 ELISA가와 응집항체가를 나타내었으며, 정제된 IgY는 western blotting에서 anti-E.tarda 토끼혈청과 유사한 E.rarda 단백질을 인식하였다. PEG법과 ammonium sulfate법에 의해 정제된 IgY는 응집항체가가 1:512, chloroform-PEG법과 정제 kit에 의해 정제된 IgY를 정제하기 위한 가장 빠른 방법이었다. 이 연구의 결과로 PEG법이 IgY의 생물학적 활성을 유지함과 더불어 신속하고 효과적인 정제방법임을 알 수 있었다. The present study compared purification methods of hen egg yolk immunoglobulin (IgY) from the hen immunized with Edwardsiella tarda. The purification of anti-E. tarda IgY was performed by four different methods, polyethylene glycol (PEG), chloroform polyethylene glycol (Chloroform-PEG), ammonium sulfate and purification kit. Purified IgY had heavy chain of 64 kDa and light chain of 27 kDa size. IgY purified from the hen immunized with E. tarda showed higher ELISA values and agglutination titers than those with IgY purified from the non-immunized hen as a negative control. In addition, purified IgY recognized similar E. tarda proteins to those with anti-E. tarda rabbit serum by western blotting. Purified IgY had an agglutination titer of 1 : 5 12 by PEG method and ammonium sulfate method, and 1 : 128 by chloroform-PEG method and purification kit. Moreover, PEG method was the most rapid method among the four different IgY purification methods. These results indicate that PEG method is effective purification method maintaining biological activity of the IgY.

        Generally, wind loads for large span structures are evaluated with surface pressure data acquired in wind tunnel test. Unlike cladding wind loads, the structural wind loads could be over-estimated with only peak pressures of each surface pressure point because the peak pressures on a surface are not well correlated at a given time. Also, the load shapes of wind loads, and the load effects and dynamic behaviors of a structure should be considered in the wind load assessment. In this study, several wind load evaluation methods were applied to Gwangmyeong Velodrome dome and the results were compared to analyze the properties of each method for the suggestion of a proper evaluation procedure.

        국산 DAF 펌프의 기포특성

        The paper introduces a domestic pump designed for dissolved air flotation (DAF). In the paper, the difference in performance between the domestic DAF pump and conventional pressure saturator is explained using the characteristics of air bubble released. The size distribution of air bubbles released from DAF pump is measured by image analyzer and particle size analyzer. And the mean diameter of bubbles is 43μm. The results are similar to that of pressure saturator. The air volume concentration in the water of domestic DAF pump and pressure saturator are 40 and 70% of theoretical amounts. In DAF system used domestic DAF pump, the removal efficiency of turbidity is 70%.

      • 배추 內婚系와 交配後代에서 自家不和合 遺傳因子의 活力變異에 대한 硏究

        배추의 自家不和合 因子組成이 다른 全球(S_(5)S_(5)) 및 野崎 2號(S_(6)S_(6))계통과 이들간의 交配에서 얻은 F₁식물(S_(5)S_(6)), 그리고 F₁을 自殖하여 얻은 F₂植物體群을 상호교배하여 自家不和合 遺傳因子에 대한 優劣關係의 遺傳과 發現樣相을 연구 하였다. F₁ 및 F₂식물체에서의 자가불화합 支配 對立因子間의 관계는 花粉에서 安定的이었으나 株頭에서의 환경적 요인등에 의해 다양하게 변화하는 것이 확인 되었다. F₁식물의 自家不和合 程度나 S-因子間의 優劣關係는 이를 自殖한 F₂식물에서 동일하게 나타나지 않았다. A series of experiments were conducted to investigate the dominance-recessive relationship of S-genes and degrees of self incompatibility in 2 inbred lines of known S-allele and their F₁and F₂ plants by full diallele crosses. The dominance-recssive relationship between S-genes in pollen was stable in F₁and F₂ plants throughout the experiment. In stigma, however, the relationship apparently changed or reversed in F₁or F₂ plants and also possibly by environmental and genetic factors. F₂ plants did not exhibit the same dominance-recessive relationship as in the F₁plants, especially in stigma.
