Plant responses to salinity stress is critical in determining the growth and development. Therefore, adaptability of plant to salinity stress is directly related with agriculture productivity. Salt adaptation is a result of the integrated functioning of numerous determinants that are regulated coordinately through an appropriate responsive signal transduction cascade. The cascade perceives the saline environment and exerts control over the essential mechanisms that are responsible for ion homeostasis and osmotic adjustment. Although little is known about the component elements of salt stress perception and the signaling cascade(s) in plant. the use of Arabidopsis plant as a molecular genetic tool has been provided important molecular nature of salt tolerance effectors and regulatory pathways. In this review. I summarize recent advances in understanding the molecular mechanism of salt adaptation.
대단위 병렬컴퓨터 시스템 노드구조 설계를 위한 워크벤치(SKYLAB)의 개발

Building the simulation environment of massively parallel computer systems has been recognized as a better approach over the experimentation on real machines to study extensively their architectural behaviours at a minimum cost. In this paper, we introduce a parallel processing workbench SKYLAB being implemented on DE C5000/25 and SPARCI workstations for design of node architectures featuring optimal organization for massively parallel processing. For the through analysis of the features of architectures in mind, the SKYLAB comes with thress major components: the compilerbackend translating single-threaded codes into their equivalent multithreaded codes, the node architecture emulator incopperating target CPU for program execution, and the graphic use interface for easy interpretation and expedating the analysis of the statitistics from the simulation runs. The design experience of the node architecture of the DAVRID multithreaded parallel processing computer using the SKYLAB examplifies how much effictively to make experiment on parallel simulations using this integrated toolset.

The tropane alkaloids hyoscyamine (its racemic form being atropine) and scopolamine are used medicinally as anticholinergic agents that act on the parasympathetic never system. Because they differ in their actions on the central nervous system, currently there is a 10-fold higher commercial demand for scopolamine, in the N-butylbromide form, than there is for hyoscyamine and atropine combined. Several solanaceous species have been used as the commercial sources of these alkaloids, but the scopolamine contents in these plants often are much lower than those of hyoscyamine. For this reason there has been long-standing interest in increasing the scopolamine contents of cultivated medical plants. Naturally occurring and artificial interspecific hybirds of Duboisia have high scopolamine contents and are cultivated as a commercial source of scopolamine in Austrailia and other countries. Anther culture combined with conventional interspecific hybirdization also has been used to breed high scopolamine-containing plants in the genera Datura and Hyoscyamus, but without much success. The use of recombinant DNA technology for the manipulation of metabolic processes in cells promises to provide important contributions to basic science, agriculture, and medicine. In this review, I introduce on the enzymes and genes involved in tropane alkaloid biosynthesis and current progress in metabolic engineering approaches for tropane alkaloid, especially scopolamine, production.
공유버스 멀티프로세서시스템을 위한 버스 시뮬레이터의 설계

In this paper, we develop the simulation environment for evaluating the performance of multiprocessor systems using Futurebus^+ as shared bus with various configurations. The environment is constructed into three stages. The first is devoted to the preprocessing stage in which the parallel work- loads, multiple threads, are generated from single- thread codes traced on the benchmarks. The second stage includes the engine of the bus simulator. The results from the simulation include cache hit ratio, processor utilization and bus congestion ratio according to changes of the number of processors, and cache coherency protocols. Based on the analysis of the simulation results, we noticed that the processor utilization and the bus congestion ratio are heavily depend on cache hit ratio. The write-broadcast protocol is shown as the most effective scheme in comparison with other cache coherence protocols experimented.

Online game that based on network communication, use various type of communication and network architecture for each character and genre of game. In this paper, we investigated and analyzed communication types used in online games and, based on the results, introduced a method of developing an object-oriented network engine supporting various types of network architecture. The developed network engine not only supports the development of games using various types of communication applicable to online games but also is easily expandable because of its hierarchical structure based on the object-oriented concept. Moreover, since it can support dead reckoning make up for network latency problem, we use very usefully for development of game.

The present the information sharing among the subjects was not enough in Airway Logisctics Industry, because each subject use the independent system. The Airway Logistics Network is suggestion, but the Airway Logistics Network dose not operate with efficient connection, because each subject attached to the connection among the internal system. If the RFID system which one of Auto-ID systems is introduce into Airway Logistics, an efficient management of Airway Logistics will be possible. In this Paper, we introduce the RFID system into Airway Logistics SCM system for an efficient management and an efficient information sharing. We also develop Airway Logistics SCM system with priority given to Forwarder which is occupy an important position in Airway Logistics industry.

Dermatomyositis is characterized by progressive, symmetric, Proximal muscle weakness and a nonsuppurative inflammatory myopathy of unknown etiology involving predominantly skeletal muscles. It is also characterized by typical skin lesions. Interstitial lung disease has a poor prognosis when it is associated with dermatomyositis. Organizing pneumonia is a disease in which granulation tissue fills the lumina of terminal and respiratory bronchioles and extends into the distal airspaces. The cryptogenic nature of the process is appreciated in that organizing pneumonia patterns of injury can be seen in secondary forms of the disease (secondary organizing pneumonia). Organizin pneumonia has been reported to occur in 5~10% in dermatomyositis-polymyositis patients Anti-histidyl tRNA synthetase antibody (anti-Jo-1) is a Predictive disease marker that is reported to occur in up to 70% of patients. We describe a 49-year-old male dermatomyosits patient who presented with organizing pneumonia and was found to have negative anti-Jo-1 antibody.

The twisting and extrusion process of the product with involute helical fin from the round billet is developed by the upper bound analysis. The twisting of extruded product is caused by the twisted die surface connecting the die entrance section and the die exit section linearly. In the analysis, the internal shear surface is defined as the curved twisted plane from the taisting of die surface and the shear work is calculated by the consumption of shear energy The increase rate of angular velocity is determined by the minimization of plastic work. The results of the analysis. It is shown that the angular velocity of the extruded product increases with the die twisting angle, the reduction of area, and decreases with the die length, the friction condition.
