      • 양식넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus)의 생리조건에 미치는 연속적인 수온 급강하의 영향

        Physiological responses of cultured olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) on lowering seawater temperature sharply and continuously were studied with 4 experiments of temperature changes (Exp.Ⅰ∼Ⅳ). In Exp.Ⅰ, the temperature was decreased from 18℃ to 9℃ by the rate of 1℃/hr, thereafter back to the initial temperature after 5 days. With the same conditions of temperature rate and 5 days interval, the temperature changes for Exp. Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ were 20℃ to 17℃, 23℃ to 14℃ and 23℃ to 17℃, respectively. Serum cortisol and glucose were measured during whole experiments. Hematocrit(Ht), hemoglobin(Hb), red blood cell(RBC), and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration(MCHC) were measured in the Exp.Ⅰ, and osmolality, electrolytes(Na^+, Cl^-, Ka^+, Ca^2+), total protein, aspartate aminotransferase(AST) and alanine aminotransferase(ALT) of serum, in Exp.Ⅱ∼Ⅳ. Serum cortisol levels were significantly increased by the lowering temperature sharply during whole experiments, while serum glucose levels were increased only in Exp.Ⅲ and Ⅳ. Ht, RBC and Hb were decreased as the water temperature was lowered, but MCHC was increased. The serum osmolality was reduced and the unstable changes of electrolytes were shown by the changes of seawater temperature. No significant changes in total protein, ALT and AST activity were observed.

        We have screened 3321 cases of donor bloods, which were taken from the Clinical Pathology Department Soonchunhyang University Hospital, over the period of Sept. 1982 to June 1983, for the detection of abnormal hemoglobins by agar gel electrophoresis. We were found two cases of abnormal hemoglobins, β-chain anomaly, in Korean and the incidence was 0.06 per cent. These hemoglobin anomalies were normal in the view of clinical symptoms and hematological findings. We have carried out on the structural characterization of the β-chain anomalies but on the limitation of samples forwarding studies would be expected.

        선박용 폐 FRP 수지의 재활용 공정 개발

        A recycling process for the waste FRP from boats was developed. The recycling process is composed of decomposition of waste FRP with propylene glycol and synthesis of recycled unsaturated polyester resin from the decomposed liquid material. Prior to the decomposition, waste FRP was cut into 2cm × 5cm segments and mechanical impact was applied by press roller to give gaps between cumulated laminates. Propylene glycol effectively decomposed the waste FRP segments and glass fibers were easily separated from decomposed liquid material. Recycled unsaturated polyester resin could be made from the decomposed liquid material by reaction with maleic anhydride and phthalic anhydride.

      • 제주지역 강우의 분석 및 분석 데이타의 신뢰도 조사

        The rainwater samples were collected from the 1100 Site of Mt. Halla and Cheju city during the period of March in 1997 to August in 1998, and the major soluble ions were analyzed and their analytical confidence has been investigated. The volume weighted mean values of pH in 1100 Site and Cheju city were 487 and 4.82, respectively, and those of electrical conductivity were 16.0 and 23.3 μS/cm. The mean concentrations of ions in 1100 Site were in the order of Cl^(-)>Na^(+)>SO₄^(2-)>NH₄^(+)>H^(+)>NO₃^(-)>Mg^(2+)>Ca^(2+)>K^(2+)>HCOO^(-)>CH₃COO^(-)>F^(-)>HCO₃^(-)>CH₃SO₃^(-), and those in Cheju city were the same order except that NO₃^(-) was higher than H^(+). The comparison between several correlation coefficients has been applied for the investigation of analytical confidence, such as equivalent concentrations sum, the measured and calculated conductivity, and the acid fraction. The correlation coefficients between cation and anion equivalent concentrations sum were 0.981 and 0.960, respectively, in 1100 Site and Cheju city, and those of the calculated and measured electric conductivity in two regions were 0.989 and 0.993, respectively, so that the analytical data has been shown to be in good reliabilities. Also, the correlation coefficients between the acid fractions from the equivalent concentrations of ions and those from the measured pH and electric conductivity were 0.966 and 0.936, respectively, in two areas, so that these results also have shown a quite satisfactory analytical confidence.

      • CRW형식 무인항공기 추진시스템의 밸브작동을 고려한 비행모드 전환에 따른 천이성능 특성 연구

        본 연구는 CRW형식 무인항공기 추진시스템의 밸브작동을 고려한 비행모드에 따른 천이 성능특성을 파악하기 위해 SIMULINK를 이용하여 모델링 하였다. 주 엔진시스템의 천이 모사에는 ICV방법이 적용되었다. 그리고 밸브시스템은 로터리 덕트와 메인 덕트로 빠져나가는 유량을 제어하는 시스템으로서 밸브를 통해 로터리 덕트로 빠져나가는 유량과 메인 덕트를 빠져나가는 유량의 합은 터빈의 출구 유량과 같다는 가정하에 수행되었으며, 이 때 밸브각 변화에 따른 손실, 유량 및 유효면적 등이 고려되었다. 성능해석은 비행 천이 영역인 고도 1Km 비행마하수 0.1에서 엔진최대회전수시 회전익 모드에서 고정익 모드로 변환시외 고정익 모드에서 회전익 모드로 변환 경우들이 수행되었다. In order to investigate transient behaviour of the CRW(Canard Rotor Wing) type UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) propulsion system during flight mode transition considering flow control valve operation, the propulsion system was modelled using SIMULINK commercial program. For transient simulation of the main engine system, the ICV(Inter-Component Volume) method was applied. The valve system is to control the gas flow of the rotary duct system and the main duct system, and the analysis was performed with an assumption that the total gas mass flow of the main engine is the same as summation of the rotary duct flow and the main duct flow, and with consideration of valve loss, flow rate and effective area in valve angle variation. The performance analysis was carried out during flight mode transitions from the rotary flight mode to the fixed wing flight mode and vice versa mode at altitude of 1Km, flight Mach number 0.1 and maximum engine rpm.

        흰쥐의 Adjuvant 유발 다발성 관절염에 대한 마황 약침의 치료 효과

        The current studies investigated the therapeutic effects of Ephedra sinica Stapf (ES) herb-acupuncture on the inflammatory responses of rat arthritic joint, which was induced by the intradermal injection of heat-killed Mycobacterium tuberculosis emulsified in squalene to the base of the tail. The measurements of body weight and articular index were exploited as the assessment methods addressing arthritic symptoms, and the expression profiles of cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 in the, rat joint were analyzed using RT-PCR. The articular indexes of arthritic rats were significantly restored after the treatment with ES herb-acupuncture. Although the clinical symptoms of arthritic rats were apparently alleviated by the ES treatments, their body weights were not recovered. It maybe due to the weight-loss and energy enhancement effects of ES extracts. The expression of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 enes, which were highly stimulated in the knee joints of arthritic rats, were restored to the levels of normal rats after the ES treatment. The therapeutic effect of ES herb-acupuncture was not observed in ES-treated, non-acupoint arthritic group as a sham control. The ES herb-acupuncture into an acupoint ST36 was found to be effective in alleviating the arthritic symptoms in adjuvant-induced arthritis rats as regards the body weight, joint appearance and the expression profiles of inflammatory cytokines.

      • 한약에 의해 유발된 급성 간질성 신염 2례

        간질성 신염은 신장의 간질을 선택적으로 침범하는 염증성 질환으로 여러가지 원인에 의해 유발되며, 이 중 약물에 의한 경우는 각종 항생제, 비스테로이드성 진통제, 항경련제, 이뇨제, 면역억제제등에 의한 증례들이 보고되고 있다. 현재 각종 질환-특히 만성질환-의 치료에서 한약이 차지하는 비중이 적지 않으나, 그 각각의 성분들이 유발할 수 있는 부작용들에 대한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 저자들은 관절염 치료를 위해 중국산 한약을 복용한 후 복통, 피로감 및 육안적 혈뇨를 주소로 내원한 두 환자에서, 단백뇨와 신기능 장애를 보여 시행한 신조직 생검상 급성 간질성 신염에 합당한 병리학적 소견을 보이고, 한약 복용 중지 후 급속한 회복을 보여, 한약에 의해 유발된 것으로 사료되는 급성 간질성 신염 2예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Acute interstitial nephritis is a disease characterized by renal interstitial inflammatory cell infiltration and acute renal functional deterioration. This is caused mainly by antibiotics, NSAID and diuretics such as thiazide, but cases induced by herb medication are rare. We experienced two cases of acute interstitial nephritis after treatment with herb medication. One 71-year-old female patient and the other 60-year-old female were admitted to the hospital because of general weakness and gross hematuria. Microscopic hematuria, pyuria, and proteinuria were presented. After definitive diagnosis with a renal biopsy, we noted rapid recovery of renal function by drug withdrawal and steroid therapy. We report these cases with a review of the referenced literatures. Key Words : Herb medication, Acute Interstitial nephritis.

      • 황사에 기인한 제주지역 대기 에어로졸 금속 성분의 농도 변화 및 특성 조사

        1998년부터 2001년까지 제주도 고산에서 대기 에어로졸을 채취, 분석하여 봄철 황사기간 동안의 금속성분 농도와 특성을 조사하였다. 분석기간동안의 평균 농도는 S>Na>Ca>Fe>K>Mg>Zn>Pb>Ti>Mn>V>Ba>Sr>Cu>Ni>Cr>Mo>Cd>Co의 순이었으며, 특히 Al, Ca, Fe, Fe, K, Ti, Ba, Sr의 농도가 황사기간에 각각 10.5, 9.9, 10.3, 5.6, 5.1, 6.5, 5.6배 증가하였다. 대부분의 토양성분들, 특히 Al, Fe, Ca 금속성분은 높은 상관성을 보였으며, 농축인자에 의한 조사결과 Ca, Fe, Cd, Ti, K, Mg 금속 성분들은 주로 토양으로부터 기인하는 반면 Pb, Mn, Ni, Cu, V, Cr, Co, Zn, Na 성분들은 다른 요인에 기인하였다. 요인분석 결과 고산지역의 에어로졸은 토양의 영향을 주로 받고 있으며 그 다음으로는 인위적 및 해염의 영향을 받는 것으로 조사되었다. 풍향별 분석으로부터 대부분의 에어로졸 금속 성분들이 주로 북서계열 풍향의 영향을 받고 있으며 이는 한반도뿐만 아니라 중국 대륙으로부터의 장거리 유입 가능성을 시사하고 있다. The atmospheric aerosols have been collected at Gosan in Jeju during 1998 to 2001, and their metal components have been analyzed in order to investigate the characteristics and concentration variations during the Yellow Sand periods. The mean concentration of metal components including sulfur were in the order of S>Na>Ca>Fe>K>Mg>Zn>Pb>Ti>Mn>V>Ba>Sr>Cu>Ni>Cr>Mo>Cd>Co. The soil originate Al, Ca, Fe, K were increased as 10.5, 9.9, 10.3, 5.6 times, respectively during yellows Sand periods, and Ti, Ba, Sr were also increased as 5.1, 6.5, 5.6 times, respectively. Most of the soil components, in particular, Al, Fe, Ca, showed high correlation coefficients. The enrichment factors show Ca, Fe, Cd, Ti, K, Mg in aerosols are originated mostly from the soil, whereas the metals such as Pb, Mn, Ni, Cu, V, Cr, Co, Zn, and Na are from other possible sources rater than soil. The factor analysis shows the metals of the aerosols at Gosan are originated primarily due to the soil, followed by authropogenic and somehow sea-salt factors. The wind direction study showed most of the aerosol metal components increased with the northwest wind, indicating the possible transportation of air pollutants from China as well as the Korean peninsula.

      • Fluoroquinolone 항생제에 교차반응을 보인 ofloxacin에 의한 아나필락시양 반응 1례

        Fluoroquinolones are antimicrobial agents that have a broad range of activity against both gram-negative and gram-positive organisms. Anaphylactoid reactions have been sporadically reported with fluoroquinolones. There have been a few reports that describes cross-reactivity between fluoroquinolones. We experienced case of ofloxacin-induced anaphylactoid reaction, and confirmed cross-reactivity between ofloxacin and ciprofloxacin with the oral challenges test. Cross-reactivity between fluoroquinolones may be important, and avoidance of any fluoroquinolones should be mandatocy for patients with hypersensitivity reaction to one of these drugs.
