        The following results have been won after the periodical experiment by way of multistage loading by using the cycle ergometer for the concrete items about Physical Fitness, Physical work Capacity and cardiovascular function to investigate the effects of the swimming to the boys and girls each numbered 20(in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade in the elementary School) who have been the objects of the experiments and have been participating in the swimming training periodically and other boys and girls each numbered 20 who have not been participating and have not experienced such physical exercises. 1.In the comparison about the physicla Fitness, In case of the boys participating group showed higher than the ordinary group by Back strength 1.69kg, grip strength 2.43kg, Arm Flexion strength 0.75kg, Leg Extension strength 2.4kg and Trunk Flexion 2.11cm while the ordinary group showed higher in the jump step test by 1.7beats than the participating group but not so significant difference. 2.In the comparison about the physical Fitness, in case of the girls participating group showed higher than the ordinary group by Back strength 0.52kg, grip strenght 2.14kg, Arm Flexition strength 2.5kg, each Leg Extension strength 8.88kg, Trunk Flexion 1.34cm and 1.3beats in the Jump step test and the Leg Extension strength has been higher( p<.05) by notable difference. 3.In the Physical work capacity, the participating group showed higher than the ordinary group by 0.38 minutes in the boys and 2.01minutes in the girls group the not able difference appeared(p<.05) and the maximum exercise hour showed higher in the participating group by 1.03 minutes in the boys(p <.05) and in the girls by 2.24 minutes(p<.01). 4.In the comparison about the cardiovascular function participating group showed lower by respiration of single ventilation and Heart rate in one time also in the respiration rate, Q2 pulse, Oxygen uptake, ventilation of carbon dioxide, oxygen uptake per weight, rate of gas exchange the participating group showed lower but not notable difference in the boys group. In the maximum value the participating group showed higher by the notable differences(p<.01) in ventilation of carbon dioxide and oxygen uptake per weight but in one time ventilation it showed lower. And in the oxygen uptake per weight, oxygen uptake and rate of gas exchange there appeared notable differences(p<.05) In the participating group by higher and there have been no notable differences in the respiration rate and Heart rate. 5.In the comparison about the cardiovascular function, in case of girls, when they are in the stable state, the Heart rate and rate of gas exchange showed little lower in the participating group but in the respiration of one time ventilation, respiration rate, Q2 pulse, oxygen uptake, ventilation of carbon dioxide and oxygen uptake per weight they showed higher but no notable differences. In the maximum value there showed higher by the notable differences(p<.05) in the respiration of one time ventilation of carbon dioxide, O2 pulse of the participating group and in the respiration rate and rate of gas exchange it showed little higher and in the Heart rate it showed little lower but no notable difference.

        In this study, ten students of department of physical education in K unversity participated in 8-week-swimming training. With the figures of respiration and circulation shown before the training and after the trainging, the conclusion came out as follows after comparison and analysis of the changes in the stability and the maximum figures. 1)The respiration of one time ventilation(TVE, ㎖) Looking info the quantity of one lime ventilation In the rest, it came out 946.47㎖, meanwhile, after the training, it fell down to 878.17㎖, which is lower by 68.39㎖ and the the percentage of decrease is 7.78%. But as for the maximum figures, in came out 3117.70㎖, while after the training, it was 3219.10㎖ and that's higher by 101.4㎖ and the percentage of increase is 3.15%. 2)The oxygen uptake(VO2, ㎖/min) In the rest, the quantity of Q2 taken into the lung was 540.83m7/min before the training, but after the trainging, it showed 405.63㎖/min, which was lower by 135.20㎖/min, and the percentage of decrease is 33.33%. But as for the maximum figures, it was 3701.60㎖/min before the training, while after the training, it was 3885.30㎖/min, which Is higher by 183.7㎖/min and the percentage of· increase is 4.73%. 3)The rate of gas exchange(R)In the rest, the rate of gas exchange showed no big difference between before (1.03) and after (1.03) the training. But in the maximum figures, it was 1.42 before the training, while it was 1.45, which was higher by 0.03 and the rate of increase is 2.07%. 4)The oxygen uptake per weight(VO2/W, ㎖/kg/min)In the rest, the quantity of O2 per weight was 8.05㎖/kg/min before the training. But after the training, it was 5.99㎖/kg/min, which was lower by 2.06㎖/kg/min, and the rate of decrease is 34.39%. But in the maximum figures, it was 53.64㎖/kg/min before the trainging, while it was 58.80㎖/kg/min, which was higher by 5.16 and the rate of increase is 8.78%. 5)Heart rate(HR, beats/min)Looking Into the heart rate in the rest, it was 74.24beats/min before the training, but after the training, it was 70.84beats/min, which was lower by 3.4beats/min and the rate of decrease is 4.79%. But in the maximum figures, before the training, it was 187.25beats/min while it came out 194.69beats/min, which was higher by 7.44beats/min and the rate increase was 3.82%. 6)O2 pluse(VO2/HR, ㎖/beats)In the rest figures came out 6.10 before the training, while after the training, it was 5.72㎖/beats which was lower by 0.38 and the rate of decrease was 6.64%. But in the maximum figures, it was 19.78㎖/beats before the training, but after the training, while after the training, it was 22.54me/beats, which was higher by 2.76 and rate of increase is 12.24%.

        TV매체가 재현한 다문화사회와 사회통합의 현실: 다문화 가정 구성원과 전문가의 인식을 중심으로

        1990년 후반 이후 본격화된 노동력의 유입증가와 국제결혼의 증가로 다양한 문화적 배경을 지닌 구성원들의 비율은 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 다문화사회에서 대다수 국민은 대중매체가 제공하는 ``편집을 통해 구성된 현실``로서 다문화사회를 인식한다. 특히 텔레비전은 이주민을 사회구성원의 일부로 받아들이고 공존을 위한 조건을 제시하는데 중요한 역할을 수행한다. 이러한 배경에서 이 연구는 텔레비전 이 재현하는 다문화사회와 다문화정책의 현실을 분석하고, 다문화사회에서 방송의 사회통합적 기능에 대한 시사점을 찾고자 하였다. 이를 위해 FGI와 전문가 인터뷰 방법을 활용하였다. 인터뷰 대상자들은 다문화사회에 대한 텔레비전의 재현방식이 동화주의적이라는 의견이 많았다. 또한 다름을 문화적 열등감으로 표현하거나 편견 을 양산한다는 비판이 제시되었다. 셋째 다문화가정을 우리사회에 동화가 아닌 통 합할 목적으로 하는 방송프로그램은 없다고 여기고 있었다. 이러한 텔레비전의 문 제를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 일상성의 회복이 필요하다는 의견이 제시되었다. 또 한 이주민 2, 3세대들을 위한 정부의 사회통합정책이 필요하며, 방송은 이러한 정 책을 견인하는 역할을 강화할 필요가 있다는 의견이 제시되었다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 이 연구는 다음과 같은 시사점을 제시하였다. 먼저 다문화사회에서 사회통합에 대한 정책 목표를 명확히 할 필요가 있다. 둘째 우리사회에 깊게 뿌리박힌 국수 주의적이고 이방인에 대한 배타적 인식을 개선하기 위해 방송이 계몽적 역할을 할 수 있도록 방송사의 독자적 노력이 필요하다. 셋째 이주민들이 직접 참여하여 제작 할 수 있는 프로그램을 신설하고, 이주민들이 주류 미디어에 진입할 수 있는 지원 과 배려가 필요하다. Since the 1990s, the proportion of members with different cultural backgrounds increase continuously, due to the increasing influx of labor force and international marriages. Most people perceive multi-cultural society in which is provided by the mass media. Particularly, television perform important function that deals with immigrants in our society. In this background, this study analyze reality of the multi-cultural society and multi-cultural policy represented by television. To do this analysis, FGI and depth interview were used. First of all, the most interviewees have opinion that television``s representation to multi-cultural society are assimilationism. Secondly, they criticized television program promote prejudice about different culture. Thirdly, there areno television program for multi-cultural families with the purpose of integration. Base on the results, this study suggest as follows: First, policy objective should be clearly for societal integration in multi-cultural society. Second, broadcaster``s effort are needed for the role of enlightening to improve exclusive recognition to people with diffent cultural background. Third, the new programs are needed that immigrants can participate and produce.

        12주간 복합운동이 폐경기 비만여성의 심혈관질환 위험요인 및 면역기능에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of combination training on cardiovascular disease risk factors and immune functions in post-menopausal obese women(n=15). Combined exercise program consist of two program, aerobic and resistance program was 45-55 HRR for 50 minute, 3-4 times a week during the 12 weeks. The major results of the research are as follows: First, The combination program was significantly decreased Body weight(p<.05), body mass index(P<.001) and %fat(p<.001). However, there was no significant difference in blood lipid profiles(TG, TC, LDL-C). In addition, there was no change in the inflammatory cells that are responsible for immune function in the blood(RBC, WBC, Hb, Albumin). However, significantly decreased the acute response protein CRP(p<.05) and cTnT(P<.001). The result of this study show that the combination exercise program had a significant impact on obese post-menopausal women, In the future, it is necessary to offer more tailed program for alonger period.

      • Simplified thermally activated delayed fluorescence organic light-emitting diodes

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Recently, after the first demonstration of efficient, thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), these devices have been widely investigated, and several new materials (hole and electron transport materials) have been reported. In this work, we demonstrate highly efficient TADF OLEDs with a simplified structure, and systematically characterize these partially evaluated reported materials; (4s,6s)–2,4,5,6,–tetra(9H–carbazol–9–yl)isophthalonitrile (4CzIPN) has been used as a TADF emissive dopant; the exciton blocking and carrier transport characteristics of 9,9′–Diphenyl–6–(9–phenyl–9H–carbazol–3–yl)–9H,9′H–3,3′–bicarbazole (Tris-PCz) and 2,7–bis(2,2′–bipyridin–5–yl)triphenylene (BPy-TP2) have been characterized and compared with those of other widely used well-known organic materials. The demonstrated simplified TADF OLEDs with a 4CzIPN doped single emissive layer showed a high peak external quantum efficiency and power efficiency of 18.6% and 31.5 lm/W, respectively.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The characteristics of Tris-PCz and BPy-TP2 were investigated. </LI> <LI> In a simplified structure, exciton blocking layer was also used as a transport layer. </LI> <LI> TADF OLEDs maintained high efficiency with the simplified structure. </LI> </UL> </P>

        팽화홍삼 분말 및 음료 식이가 Streptozotocin 유발 당뇨쥐의 혈당 및 혈청지질에 미치는 영향

        팽화홍삼 분말 및 음료 식이가 당뇨 유발쥐의 혈당 및 혈청지질에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 홍삼식이는 흰쥐용 기본사료(AIN-93 diet)에 팽화홍삼 분말을 각각 0.3%와 0.6%의 중량비율(w/w)로 첨가하여 실험식이를 제조하였고, 팽화홍삼 음료는 팽화홍삼을 각각 0.14%와 0.28%의 중량비율로 음용수에 희석하여 제조하고 6주 동안 급여하였다. 시험 대조군은 당뇨 유발쥐에게 일반식이(AIN-93 diet)와 물을 급여하였다. 시험기간 동안 주별 혈당의 누적 감소치는 팽화홍삼 분말 B군(0.6%)과 팽화홍삼 음료 C군(0.14%)에서 각각 18.3, 15.1 mg/dL였고, 기준 혈당 대비 시험종료일의 혈당 감소율은 팽화홍삼 분말 B군이 37.4%, 다른 팽화홍삼투여군(A, C, D)에서는 각각 19.2, 18.7 및 17.3%로 비슷하였다. 본 연구 결과 팽화홍삼 투여군은 대조군에 비해서 실험기간 동안 혈당치의 감소에 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났고, 특히 팽화홍삼 분말 B군의 식이를 통한 사포닌 섭취량과 체중 증가, 식이효율 및 음수량 등을 고려할 때 팽화홍삼이 혈당치의 감소에 유의적인 효과를 미친 것으로 사료되었다. 이와 더불어 향후 팽화홍삼의 혈당 감소와 관련된 biomarker에 대한 보다 정밀한 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다. This study was performed to investigate the effects of puffed-red ginseng (PRG) powder and drink on blood glucose level and serum lipid profile in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. For the experimental design, STZ-induced diabetic rats were fed PRG powder-supplemented diets (0.3%, 0.6%) and diluted drinks (0.14%, 0.28%) for 6 weeks. Concentrations of blood glucose during the experimental period decreased to 18.3 mg/dL in the 0.6% PRG diet group and 15.1 mg/dL in the 0.14% PRG drink group. Average reduction rate of blood glucose in the last week compared to reference blood glucose concentration decreased by 19.2% (A group), 37.4% (B group), 18.7% (C group), and 17.3% (D group) in the PRG treatment groups, respectively. These results indicate that PRG affects blood glucose via ginseng saponins administered in diet or drinking water, thereby suggesting that PRG has the ability to prevent increasing blood glucose in mild-induced diabetic rats.

        Profiling of Differentially Expressed Genes in Human Cervical Carcinoma

        Using the DDRT-PCR, a series of differentially expressed genes in human primary cervical cancer was isolated. Among the 250 PCR amplimers, 88 gene fragments were confirmed by reverse Northern hybridization. Homology searches indicated that 26 out of 88 were previously known genes including calmodulin, human BBC1, histone H3.3, a series of ribosomal proteins (RPL19, RPS19, and RPS12), translation initiation factor (eIF-4AI), lactoferrin, integrin ${\alpha}6$, cell-surface antigens (CD9 and CD59), transcription factor (mbp-1), and mitochondrial proteins. Several unknown clones showed sequence homology with known genes. Furthermore, six of the unknown genes showed identical sequence with expressed sequence tags (EST) of unknown function. Differential expression patterns of identified genes were further examined and confirmed with multiple pairs of cervical cancer samples using Northern hybridization. Our profiling of differentially expressed genes may provide useful information about the underlying genetic alterations in human cervical carcinoma and diagnostic markers for this disease. The precise roles of these genes in cancer development remain to be elucidated.

        Selection of Starter Cultures and Optimum Conditions for Lactic Acid Fermentation of Onion

        Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolated from various fruits and vegetables were screened in order to determine appropriate fermentation starters for manufacturing functional fermented onion juice. From the initial screening test comprising more than 700 isolated LAB, 16 isolates were selected based on their acid production rate. Among the selected isolates, the fermentation broth of KC-007 exhibited the highest electron donating and nitrite scavenging activities, with values at pH 1.2 of 95.6 and 68.7%, respectively. From the overall results obtained in this study, we finally selected the bacterium KC-007 as a fermentation starter. This bacterium was identified and named as Pediococcus pentosaceus based on its morphological and physiological characteristics, carbon-utilization pattern (as assessed using an API 50CHL kit), and molecular genetic characteristics (as assessed using the nucleotide sequence of the 16S rRNA gene). The optimal temperature, pH, and starter inoculation concentration (v/v) required for growth of the isolated strain were 40℃, pH 4.0-6.0, and 2%(v/v), respectively.
