        소아에서의 Nd : YAG Laser를 이용한 치은착색제거술 YAG Laser in children

        Melanin is normally found in the skin of all people, and normal pigmentation of the intraoral tissues is a relative frequent finding. Gingival hyperpigmentation may cause esthetic problems and embarrassment, especially in patients with a gummy smile. Melanin pigmentation is related to etiologic factor such as hormon, systemic factor, drug, smoking and gingival inflamation. Depigmentation procedure can be Performed by gingival epithelium removing procedure, gingivectomy, free gingival graft, laser therapy, dry ice, Vitamin C and phenol-alcohol method. We could obtain favorable esthetic results by procedures such as Nd: YAG laser. The Nd:YAG laser was set at 4 watt, 50mJ, 80 pulse per second. The procedures were performed with contact mode in all pigmented areas by using a handpiece with a 320㎛ diameter fiber optic. Ablation of the gingival hyperpigmented gingiva appeared healthy, pink, and firm. No recurrence of hyperpigmentation had been found in 6 months of follow-up.

      • 국내에서 유행하는 HIV의 전파 경로에 따른 Subtype 분포

        Background : Previous data have been reported that subtype B is prevalent in South Korea, but neither the extent nor the proportion of subtypes could be evaluated. This study was designed to analyze the distribution of HIV-1 subtypes, temporal instructions and transmission dynamics between epidemiological groups. Methods : 1,280 Koreans had been diagnosed as HIV seropositive during the period 1985 to 2000. Among them, 134 individuals were selected for this molecular epidemiological study. 134 DNAs were isolated from uncultured or cultured peripheral blood mononuclear cells. V3-V5 (0.7 kb) fragment of HIV-1 env gene was amplified by nested polymerase chain reaction and was sequenced. Results : HIV-1 isolates from thirty-seven homosexuals were all subtype B (100%). On the other hand, 66 isolates from 94 heterosexuals were subtype B (70%) and 28 were non B subtypes (30% : 13 A, 4 C, 2 D, 8 E , 1 G). Only subtype B strains were isolated from 73 males who were infected with HIV inside Korea while 16 B and 20 non B subtype strains were isolated from 36 males who were HIV infected outside of Korea. However, B and non B strains were isolated half and half from females who were infected inside Korea except one. Conclusion : The HIV-1 subtype B strains are prevalent in Korea from the early HIV infection until present in both homo and heterosexuals. Non B strains have been transmitted from men who were infected outside Korea to their spouses and casual partners. So, we need further study to monitor subtype B and non B HIV transmission in epidemiological groups of Korea, (Korean J Infect Dis 33:311∼318, 2001)

        The main purpose of this paper is to obtain the large deflection curves of eccentrically loaded columns. The nonlinear differential equations governing the deflected shapes of the simply supported tapered column with eccentric load are derived by large deflection theory and solved numerically using the Runge-Kutta method and Regula-FaIsi method. As the numerical results, the load-displacement(vertical displacement at mid-span and horizontal displacement at right end) curves including the left and right end rotations are presented in figures. The effects of eccentricity and section ratio on deflected shape are analyzed. Also, the possible deflection curves for the particular cases are shown in figures.

      • 집중하중을 받는 변단면 보의 정적거동해석

        An analytical method was developed to tapered beams subjected to concentrated loads. The rectangular cross-section with constant width and variable depth, so-called depth taper, was chosen. The differential equation of deflected beams based on the small deflection theory was derived and solved by indefinite integration. The unknown parameters and integral constants were calculated by the boundary conditions. The hinged-hinged. hinged-clamped, clamped-clamped and clamped-hinged beams were considered in the numerical examples. As the results of this study, the reaction moments of left ends, the vertical reactions of left ends, the maximum deflections and the maximum stresses versus nondimensional position of concentrated load were presented in figures. Also both typical bending moment diagrams and deflection curves were presented in figures. It is expected that the results of this study including both all equations and figures can be used in design of the tapered beams.

      • 광주 근교산 붕어의 아미노산 및 지질성분의 분석

        광주 근교산 붕어의 일반성분, total amino acid 및 free amino arid를 HPLC로 분석 그리고 유리지질과 결합지질을 추출하고 이를 각각 column chromatography에 의하여 중성지질, 당지질 및 인지질로 분획한 다음 이를 각 지질의 구성 지질을 TLC scanner, GC 등으로 분리 정량한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 붕어의 조단백질은 5.6%, 조지방은 5.4% 이었다. 2. 총 아미노산 및 유리아미노산은 17종이였으며, 총아미노산은 glycine이 많고 유리아미노산은 arginine이 많이 함유되어 있으며, 필수아미노산량은 총아미노산량의 약 28%를 차지하였다. 3. 총지질 중 유리지질이 5.2% 및 결합지질이 0.2%가 함유 되었으며 유리지질을 구성하는 지질의 함량을 중성지질 81.2%, 인지질 25.5%, 당지질 1.3%로 구성 되였으며 결합지질에는 중성지질 25.5, 인지질 70.0%, 당지길 4.5%로 구성되었다. 4. 유리 및 결합지길 중의 중성지질로는 monoglyceride, diglyceride, free sterol, fatly acid, triglyceride, esterified sterol 등이 분리 동정 되었으며 이중 triglyceride가 유리지질에 82.8%결합지질에 46.1%로 가장 많이 함유되었다. 5. 유리지질과 결합지질을 구성하는 인지질로는 phosphatidyl choline, lecithin, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidyl serine, steryl glycoside+phosphatidyl ethanolamine 등이 분리동정 되었으며 유리지질의 경우 phosphatidy1 choline이 2.8%, 결합지질에는 lecithin이 43.5%가 함유되었다. 6. 총지질을 구성하는 주된 지방산은 C_16, _OC18 1의 함량이 가장 많았으며 중성지질은 C_18 2의 함량이 높았으며, 당지질은 유리지질이 C_14 1, C_20 1이 다량 함유되어 있으며 결합지질은 C_20 4,C_18 1이 다량 함유되어 있다. 인지질의 지방산 조성은 C^19_0이 다량 함유되어 있으며 특히 결합지질에는 C_22 6이 다량 함유되어 있다. Approximate compositions, total amino acids and free amino acid, and the isolation and identification of fatty acids in Carassius auratus were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography, thin layer chromatography and gas chromatography. The results are; Carassius auratus contained 73.8% water, 5.6% crude protein and 5.4% crude fat. 17 kinds of total and free amino acids were analyzed, respectively, glycin is the richest in total amino acids and arginine in free amino acids and total amounts of the essential amino acid were about 28% of total amino acids. Total lipid was contained 5.2% free lipid and 0.2% bound lipid. Free forms and bound forms were mostly consisted of neutral lipids(81.2%) and phospholipid(70.0%), respectively.

        전기로 분진에서 납의 휘발반응에 대한 속도론적 연구

        "he removal of lead from electric arc furnace (EAF) dust is important in the process for recovering zinc by a reduction-volatilization method. In this study, experiments on kinetics of the volatilization reaction of lead by chlorine components as NaCl and KCl contained in the EAF dust were carried out in the temperature range of 973 to 1223 K under an air atmosphere using a weight-loss technique. As a result, the volatilization ratio of lead was about 99.0% at the temperature of 1223 K and the reaction time of 180 min. Jander equation was found to fit well the volatilization reaction rate over the entire temperature range. The volatilization reaction of lead is rate controlled by solid-solid diffusion. An activation energy of 175 kJ/mol(41.8 kcal/mol) was obtained. (Received January 8, 2004)

        악하선 부위에 발생한 편평세포암종

        A 66-year-old man visited author's institute complaining of the swelling on the submandibular gland area. Clinically, the exophytic mass penetrated the skin of the submandibular area. On MRI, the lesion occupied the left submandibular space and extended downward, protruding exterior to the subcutaneous fat layer, but the center of the lesion was located on the side of the skin and the growth exterior to the skin was prominent. Demarcation of the lesion and the submandibular gland was unclear. Histopathologically the epithelial nests and keratin production were seen, then the biopsy result was squamous cell carcinoma. The stroma of lesion showed a myxoid characteristic and some ducts showed metaplasia of the ductal cells, which suggested the gland-origin carcinoma. However, lots of keratin production and carcinomatous change of cells continuous to the normal epithelium of the skin, the skin-origin carcinoma invading into the submandibular gland area could not be excluded.
