      • 一部農村地域 靑少年層의 成長發育과 體容積·體脂肪量에 關한 硏究

        A study on 3,663 middle and high school students(1790 boys and 1873 girls) in rural areas of Jeonla Province was conducted from May I to July 30 in 1978 for assessing their physical growth and development in terms of physical and nutritional indices, and the correlation between body weight and volume is obtained. Following are the results. A. Physical Growth and Development. 1. Rapid growth of physical grovth in terms of body height, weight, chest-gi-rth and sitting height has been observed among 17 year-old boys and 15 year-old girls. Growth in terms of physical growth and development turned out to be slower among students of higher ages, irrespective of male of female. 2. The maximum annual growth rates were as follows; Body Height ; 6.0㎝ during the age 16∼17 for boys. 5.2㎝ during the age 12∼13 for girls. Body weight ; 6.4㎝ during the age 14∼15 for boys. 6.0㎝ during the age 12∼13 for girls. Chest-Girth ; 4.3㎝ during the age 14∼15 for boys. 5.0㎝ during the age 12∼13 for girls. Sitting Height ; 3.3㎝ during the age 13∼14 for boys. 2.8㎝ during the age 12∼13 for girls. B. Various Indices about Physical Growth and Development. 1. The lineal increase of relative body weight was shown in both sex groups belonging to the ages 11∼17. 2. As for relative chest girth, it is small in the age of 15 for boys and 12 for girls, but when they are 16 and 13, respectively, it becomes normal. 3. In both sex groups, the growth rate was shown to be constant nearly to the same degree. 4. Rohrer index was 1.1∼1.2 for boys and 1.2∼1.3 for girls. 5. The Kaup index was lower than 2.0 for boys under 15 years of age and for girls under 14 years of age. It become higher than 2.0 after they reach 16 and 15, respectively. 6. Vervaeck index was 76.9∼89.7 for boys and 78.5∼89.0 for girls. For both cases it increased with age. 7. Pelidisi index of the nutitional status was obtained 91∼92 for boys and 89∼95 for girls. C. Correlation between Body Weight and Body Height. The correlation coefficient between body height and weight is as show in Table 12. D. Standard Body Weight by Age. The equation of the standard body weight is as shown in Table 12. E. Body Volume. Mean values of body surface area(㎡), body volume(ℓ), and body density(㎏/ℓ) were calculated by an indirect method from body height and weight, as shown in Table 13. F. Body Fat Weight. The percentage of mean body fat content was 10.84±1.83 to 13.88±2.15% for boys and 22.28±2.55 to 25.60±3.99% for girls, respectively. G. Correlation between relative Body Weight and Body Volume by age. The correlation coefficient and equation between relative body weight and volume by age are an shown in Table 14.

        다구치법에 의한 고 규소 내산주철의 용해주조공정 최적화

        In this study, Taguchi method, one of the design tools of experiments, was applied to optimize casting process parameters of the high silicon corrosion-resistant iron. Three casting process parameters such as melting temperature, rare earth metal (mischmetal) addition, and pouring temperature were chosen. Using SN (signal-to-noise) ratio calculated from ultimate tensile strength of each experimental casting run, the relationship between the casting parameters and mechanical properties was statistically evaluated. The casting condition of a melting temperature of 1,650℃, 0.2% rare earth metal addition, and a pouring temperature of 1,350℃ led to an excellent ultimate tensile strength above 11 kgf/mm², which is beyond the industrial criterion. The effects of the casting parameters on mechanical properties and corrosion resistance were further confirmed by combined analysis of fractography, hydrogen content determination, microscopic test, and acid resistance test.       • JPEG에서 필터를 이용한 압축률 개선에 관한 연구

        Recently the application of the digital image processing has been increased with technical advances in digital computers. It is necessary to compress the digital image data in order to store and transmit it with real time. It is possible to redisplay the relatively exact image and decrease bandwidth of transmission path with the reduced information by compression. JPEG in ISO and CCITT defines the standard compression and restoration algorithm for grayscale and color still image. In this paper, we propose a method of decreasing higher frequency component and increasing spatial redundancy in image, and the compression ratio. In order to decrease higher frequency components of the images, various filters were used in the preprocessing. Compression ratio and processing time were compared. Results shows the enhanced compression ratio without damage of image quality by using filter in JPEG.

      • 유지 투석중인 만성 신부전환자에서 허혈성 심질환의진단 지표로서의 심장트로닌-I의 유용성

        Background : Coronary disease is highly prevalent in patient with end stage renal disease (ESRD) and account for much of their observed morbidity and mortality. Troponin-I consistently maintains a high sensitivity and specificity and is most sensitive marker for ischemic heart disease (IHD). Method : We examed 49 hernodialyzed patients (22 male, 27 female) without evidence of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) for 6 months. Biochemical markers were measured in serial predialysis blood samples. For analysis, we used two cardio-specific assays for troponin-T (cTnT) as well as for troponin-I (cTnI) and compared the results with CK-MB (reference value ≤ 4.0 ng/mL) concentration. Results : Myocardial ischemia was observed in 47% (23/49) of patients. cTnT level above 0.1 ng/mL. and cTnI level above 0.5 ng/mL, were observed in 22% (11/49) and 20% (10/49) of patients respectively. cTnI revealed significantly higher positive rate in patients with myocardial ischemia than the patients without myocardial ischemia (43 % vs 30%) (p<0.05). cTnT and CK-MB revealed no difference in positive rate between the patients with and without myocardial ischemia (cTnT : 30% vs 15% and CK-MB : 30% vs 19%). The sensitivity and specificity of cTnI to myocardial ischemia were higher than those of cTnT and CK-MB (sensitivity 43% vs 30% and 30%. specificity 100% vs 85% and 81%). Conclusion: Both cTnT and cTnI are useful in ruling out myocardial injury in chronic renal failure patients. But. cTnI is a more sensitivity and excellent specificity of ischemic heart disease than cTnT and CK-MB in hemodialyzed patients. In patients with ischemic heart disease, the presences of DM and advanced age were higher than those in patients without ischemic heart disease (p<0.05). Among the baseline characteristics old age, elevated LDH and diabeties were significant more frequent in the patients with elevation of cardiac troponin-I (p>0.5 ng/mL) than those with cardiac troponin-I (p<0.5 ng/mL), p=0.038, p=0.049, and p=0.045, respectively. Our results suggest that these cTnI is the potential diagnostic marker for the prediction of IHD in ESRD patients.

        도금공정 6가 크롬 미스트의 공기중 및 시료채취 여과지상 환원속도에 관한 연구 : 시료채취중 환원속도와 손실 보정 Reduction Rate during Sampling and Correction for the Loss

        Hexavalent chromium, Cr(Ⅵ),may reduce on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) filter during air sampling. This study was conducted to cstimate the reduction rate of Cr(Ⅵ) on PVC filter during air sampling and an correction equation for th loss of Cr(Ⅵ) by feduction in an industrial plating process. The reduction of Cr(Ⅵ) was progressed rapidly in 60 minutes and slowly thereafter. The empirical reduction rate of Cr(Ⅵ) (Y) over sampling time (X, min) was the following : Y= 0.916 -0.0208√x (r=0.73, p〈0.05). The loss of Cr(Ⅵ) caused by reduction during sampling can be corrected using the following empirical equation : Sc = S x 1/Y. where Sc = corrected value, S = analytical result, and Y= reduction rate of Cr(Ⅵ).

        우수방사성의약품 생산시설 개발

        Manufacturing facilities of the pharmaceuticals must meet certain level of the cleanness required so that foreign substances such as dust, moisture, heat, microorganism, or virus do not contaminate the product. In case of radiopharmaceuticals for medical treatment and diagnosis, not only should the operators and environment be protected from radiation but also need to be isolated from the foreign contaminant. Therefore, manufacturing facilities for radiopharmaceuticals must satisfy the design standards of both hot cell and clean room which are specified by GNP. However, standards of maintaining negative pressure for preventing spread of radioactive contaminant in isolated facilities conflict with the standards of maintaining positive pressure for keeping cleanness. To solve this problem, are pressure of hot cell was designed lower than in the adjacent area to meet standards of the radiation safety. To keep higher cleanness in certain part of the hot cell for filling, minimal relative positive pressure allows. In order to effectively maintain the cleanness that is required for production of Tc-99m generator, which takes 70% of whole demand of radiopharmaceuticals, the rooms placed in each side of production room are used as a buffer area and three lead hot cells are installed in production room. In this research, we established the appropriate engineered design concept for Tc-99m generator manufacturing facility, which satisfies both GMP cleanness standard for preventing particles, bacteria, other contaminants and the regulations of radiation safety for supervising and controlling the amount of radiation exposure and exhausted radioactivity. And the concept of multi-buffer zones is introduced to apply negative air pressure for hot cell with first priority and to continue relative positive air pressure for clean room.

      • 수술적으로 치료한 통증을 동반한 흉추부의 후외상성 Schmorl씨 결절 : 2례 보고 Report of Two Cases

        Study Design : Two patients who had painful Schmorl's node at thoracic level from acute trauma were adopted and taken operation for its treatment Objectives : To document the effect of operation for the treatment of painful Schmorl's node at thoracic level summary of background data : Schrmorl's nodes are common spinal lesion generally believed to be asymptomatic, but in some cases there were painful symptom by Schmorl's node. This case report is to explain the effect of operative treatment for the painful Schmorl's node. Methods : Two patients were adopted who had traumatic painful Schmorl's node at thoracic level for our case report. They were treated conservative methods at first but it's effect were poor, so they were taken anterior decompression and fusion, and checked back pain symptom. Result : In all two patients, the symptom of back pain by Schmorl's nodes at thoracic level was almost subsided. conclusion : For the treatment of traumatic painful Schmorl's node, most of surgeon says that conservative treatments were treatment of choice, but operative treatments are also benefit to subsidence of back pain by Schmorl's node.

      • 반건식-백필터에 의한 소각배가스 중의 HCI, SOx 제거 (Ⅱ)

        A combination of process modification and various additives to a lime-based spray-dryer/fabric-filter system was evaluated for its value in promoting sorbent utilization and simultaneous removal of HC1 and SO₂ from waste incineration flue gas. The variety of operating conditions were tested to evaluate important factors such as spray drying reactor(SDR) outlet temperature, retention time, molar equivalence ratio( MER ), fabric filter velocity, etc. For the sorbent activity enhancement, additives such as KmnO₄, NaOH, NaHCO₃, CaCl₂, a mixture of NaOH and CaCl₂ were added to Ca(OH)₂ at optimum operating condition. The mixture of NaOH and CaCl₂ ( 2 : 1 by weight ) was found to be the best economic additive. When that additive, 10% of Ca(OH)₂ by weight, was added, under the condition of Ca(OH)₂ of MER 1.0, HCl/SO₂ removal efficiencies at fabric filter were 98.3% and 97.1%, respectively.

      • 함수정방형내에서 과냉각 현상에 관한 실험적 연구

        Supercooling phenomena with pure water in freezing process was studied experimentally from -5℃ to 0℃. Temperature distribution and heat transfer were analyzed on the supercooling phnomena, according as the initial temperature, inclied angle and temperature of cooling-well were varied. When the water was cooled from the cooling surfacee, a supercooling phnomena was appered. After a while, dendritic ice grew suddenly and spread over the supercooled region. Then the dendrite began to melt again from the bottom at the same time and dense ice layer began to grow from the surface. The supercooling phenomema duration was the longers with decreasing the inclined angle and initial temperature than those of increasing the inclined angle.
