목적: This retrospective study is to compare clinical outcomes of conventional laparoscopic surgery and laparoendoscopic single-site surgery in the surgical treatment of tubal ectopic pregnancy. 방법: 126 patients were diagnosed with ectopic pregnancies by transvaginal ultrasonography and via serum β-hCG levels at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital from January 2008 to August 2013. 38 patients met the criteria for medical treatment and they were excluded from this study. 88 patients agreed to surgery. 40 patients underwent LESS while the remaining 48 cases experienced conventional laparoscopic surgery. Besides identifying general characteristics of patients, clinical outcomes of both surgical approaches were analyzed according to parameters of operative time, the need for transfusion and the varying lengths of hospital stay. 결과: In this study there were no statistically significant differences in clinical outcomes in either surgical method except for operative time. In conditions with the presence of more than 500ml of hemoperitoneum, operative time of LESS was significantly shorter than conventional surgery. The operative time of the two groups in the absence of hemoperitoneum, the mean length of hospital stay and the need for blood transfusions were of no statistical significance. 결론: LESS is a safe and feasible surgical approach in the treatment of tubal ectopic pregnancy. At the same time, it has the advantage of effectively handling massive hemoperitoneum which is a common complication of ectopic pregnancy. It is also close to the concept of minimally invasive surgery that has benefits in reducing post-operative pain and cosmetic complications.
