        배 추출 펙틴이 2K1C 고혈압 흰쥐의 혈압, 혈장 Renin, ANP 및 Cardiac Hypertrophy에 미치는 영향

        배에서 추출된 pectin과 사과에서 추출된 pectin의 3주간 투여가 2K1C 고혈압 흰쥐의 일간 혈압 변화, 혈장 renin, ANP 변화 및 cardiac hypertrophy 변화를 관찰한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 일간 혈압변화에서 대조군에 비하여 APA군의 15일째에 유의한 감소를 보였고, 19일째에 한계적으로 유의한 감소를 나타내었으며, AP-B군의 8일째와 15일째에 유의한 감소를 나타내었으며, AP-C군의 15일째에 한계적으로 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. 또한 대조군에 비하여 PPA군은 모든 기간 동안 유의성을 나타내지 않았으며, PP-B군의 8일째와 15일째에 유의한 감소를 나타내었으며, PP-C군의 15일째에 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. 혈장 renin 변화에 있어서 대조군에 비하여 apple pectin이 투여된 군에서는 모두 유의한 변화가 없었으며, pear pectin이 투여된 PP-B군에서 한계적으로 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. 혈장 ANP 변화에 있어서 대조군에 비하여 apple pectin이 투여된 군에서는 모두 유의한 변화가 없었으며, pear pectin이 투여된 PP-B군에서 유의한 증가를 나타내었다. Cardiac hypertrophy 변화에 있어서 대조군에 비하여 apple pectin이 투여된 군에서는 모두 유의한 변화가 없었으며, pear pectin이 투여된 PP-C군에서 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. Oriental pear was used as treatment of asthma, control of blood pressure tonic medicine vasoactio, diabetes in oriental medicine. In this study, it was investigated that pear pectin effects on cardiovascular system as blood pressure and renin and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) in plasma, cardiac hypertrophy. The experiments were performed on Sprague-Dawley rats, 2K1C hypertension model was prepared by constricting the left renal artery with a sliver clip. Animals were then divided into four groups, 5 ㎎/㎏, 10 ㎎/㎏, 15 ㎎/㎏ and the control, pear pectin and apple pectin solutions were supplied with them. The blood pressure was more decreased in pear pectin 10 ㎎/㎏ than in apple pectin. The plasma ANP was decreased in pear pectin 10 ㎎/㎏, and renin was increased in same concentration of drug. Cardiac hypertrophy had a tendency to decrease in pear pectin 15 ㎎/㎏, but was not statistically significant compared to control group.

        곤륜(崑崙),소부(少府) 침자(鍼刺)가 하장간막신경(下腸間膜神經) 활성(活性)과 혈압(血壓) 및 심박수(心搏數)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives: The aim of the present study is to observe effects of acupuncture related with the nerve system, Inferior mesenteric nerve activity(IMNA) was examined on BL60 acupuncture closely connected with the bladder and HT8 with little tied. Materials and methods: Acupunctures were performed during 100 seconds after stabilization. IMNA was measured by micromanipulator, preamplifier, mean arterial pressure(MAP) and heart rate were observed by blood pressure transducer, 4-channel transducer amplifier in anesthetized rat. Results: On BL60 acupuncture, the heart rate was not significantly decreased but IMNA, MAP were significantly decreased and Maximum peak of IMNA was increased during inserted acupuncture, decreased after ejected acupuncture respectively. On HT8 acupuncture, IMNA was decreased during acupuncture than before acupuncture but the others did not showed signigicant difference. Conclusions: Our results demonstrated a meridian interaction between BL60 acupoint in the bladder channel and Inferior mesenteric sympathetic nerve related to the bladder. This fact suggest that BL60 acupuncture have effect on the bladder through the nerve system. Meanwhile, IMNA was decreased during HT8 acupuncture. This result is supposed HT8 to have not meridian function but acupoint function by another mechanism. It needs to be closely examined other meridians and nerve by the optimal approaching method.

        족삼리(足三里), 합곡(合谷) 단일(單一) 및 배혈(配穴) 침자(鍼刺)가 상치통(上齒痛) 유발(誘發) 백서(白鼠)의 dEMG에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives: The pain was induced on upper and lower incisor of the rat based on the theory of `connections of upper incisor pain with stomach meridian and lower incisor pain with large intestine meridian`. Such acupoints as LI4 and ST36 were used for alleviation of upper and lower incisor pain. Methods: The digastric myogram (dEMG) was utilized for the pain measurement. Results: The ST36 acupuncture after induction of upper incisor pain was gradually decreased or increased the dEMG. The LI4 acupuncture after induction of upper incisor pain was gradually decreased the dEMG. The ST36+LI4 acupuncture after induction of upper incisor pain was gradually decreased the dEMG. We knew this thing which the ST36+LI4 acupuncture decreased the dEMG most greatly and kept long compared to ST36 acupuncture, LI4 acupuncture. Conclusions: Acupuncture treatment at the loci of not only ST36 acupuncture but LI4 acupuncture were relieved the upper incisor pain. It was well suitable to the theory `connections of upper incisor pain with stomach meridian` that ST36 acupuncture decreased the upper incisor pain. But there was not to decrease the dEMG for the ST36 acupuncture. We are considered as tracing study continuously about ST36 acupuncture. It was not suitable to the theory `connections of upper incisor pain with stomach meridian` that LI4 acupuncture decreased the upper incisor pain. These results was considered as the function by the characteristic of the LI4 acupoint.

        The pain was induced on upper and lower incisor of the rat based on the theory of `connections of upper incisor pain with stomach meridian and lower incisor pain with large intestine meridian`. Such acupoints as ST36 and LI4 were used for alleviation of upper and lower incisor pain. The digastric myogram (dEMG) was utilized for the pain measurement. The upper incisor pain was gradually decreased during ST36 stimulation and significant differences were observed at 20 and 25 minute point during 60 minutes study. The upper incisor pain was gradually decreased during LI4 acupuncture and 20 minute was the only point that showed a significant difference. The alleviation of lower incisor pain was not obvious during the ST36 acupuncture. The lower incisor pain was gradually decreased during LI4 stimulation with significant differences at 15, 20 and 40 minute point. In conclusion, the upper incisor pain was relieved with ST36 and LI4 acupuncture while LI4 was effective on the lower incisor pain alleviation based on the theory of `connections of upper incisor pain with stomach meridian and lower incisor pain with large intestine meridian`.

        염전보사(捻轉補瀉)를 시행(施行)한 육음경승격혈위침자(六陰經勝格穴位鍼刺)가 고지방식이(高脂肪食餌) 비만백서(肥滿白鼠)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives: This research was performed to investigate the effect of five element constitutional acupuncture(Sa-am acupuncture) therapy at acupoints on the Yin meridians on obese rats(Sprague Dawley strain, male) induced by high fat diet. Methods: The control and acupuncture groups were provided with high fat diet, and the acupuncture groups were treated with five element constitutional acupuncture(Sa-am acupuncture) every other day for five weeks. We observed the body weight gain, food intake, triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, AST, and ALT. Result: The acupuncture group treated with five element acupuncture on the meridians of spleen, heart, pericardium showed significant decrease of body weight, the groups treated on the meridians of Lung, heart, pericardium showed signigicant decrease of food intake. Concentration of HDL-cholesterol was significantly increased in the groups treated on the meridians of spleen, heart, pericardium, Liver. Conclusion: Reviewing these experimental results, it appears that the five element constitutional acupuncture(Sa-am acupuncture) therapy at acupoints on the meridians of spleen, heart and pericardium have an efficacy on obesity induced by high fat diet.

        척택.어제 침자가 고해상도 적외선 카메라로 관찰한 촌구맥 부위의 온도 Pulsation 변화에 미치는 영향 연구

        Arteria radialis is a branch of the brachial artery extending down the forearm around the wrist where it closes to skin surface. In the oriental medicine, the skin above arteria radialis has an important role because oriental medicine practitioners put their finger tips on the area, and diagnose patient's health conditions by feeling the pulsation of the arterial contraction. The finger tip diagnostic method relies on subjective decision of the practitioner; and there is a need to develop an objective diagnostic modality. The pulsation of the arterial contraction appears not only a movement on the site but also as temperature fluctuation due to pulsatile feeding of warmer blood. The goal of this study is to demonstrate a feasibility of using an infrared camera quantitatively to detect the temperature fluctuation on the skin. Clinical important three different areas, called chon, gwan, chuk, near a wrist where the arteria radialis reaches close to skin surface are marked with small pieces of surgical tape. A high-speed and high-resolution infrared camera with a 3 cm of field of view measures these areas for 10 second at 200 frames per second with a 320*240 pixel size. The pulsatile temperature fluctuation is calculated after passing a band pass filter to remove any stationary temperature over 10 second. The temperature fluctuation of a healthy male volunteer is measured at a room temperature as a control, and is compared with another measurement performed after 20 minutes staying in a room at a 40 degree Celsius. This comparison is repeated for three times, and indicates that the fluctuation increases after staying 20 minutes in the warm room. This increase becomes smaller when the person stays in the warm room with an acupuncture treatment that decreases body temperature. So that an objective diagnostics on the site may become feasible.

        부자(附子)오두(烏頭) 중독증(中毒症)에 관한 소고(小考)

        In order to study on Bu-ja(Oh-du) toxicosis, the outhor investigated many documents. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Toxicosis of Bu-ja(Oh-du) arised mainly from carelessness in use. 2. In the symptoms of Bu-ja(Oh-du), Heart System(心系) symptom often came out. 3. The general and local paralysis, falling of blood pressure in Heart System(心系) symptom : vertigo, cramp in Liver System(肝系) symptom : nausea, vomiting in Spleen System (脾系) symptom : difficulty of breathing in Lung System(肺系) symptom : wasting disease in Kidney System (腎系) symptom frequently originated from toxicosis of Bu-ja(Oh-du). 4. In the detoification method, there are atropin injection, carrying out a gastric lavage, and supplying a liquid medicine from the western medicine : taking ginger-licorice root decoction, taking mung beans thick decoction and getting vomited with soaked cinnamon from the oriental medicine. And also keeping warm and oxygen inhalation were used to counteract poison. 5. A pregnant woman, heat of excess type(實熱), yang sydrome(陽證 )must not be taken Bu-ja(Oh-du).

        치매에 관한 최근의 연구 동향

        Dementia is the neurodegenerative process that affects cognition, behavior and function and one of the most prominent diseases of dementia is Alzheimer's disease(AD). AD is a dementing illness characterized clinically by the progressive and irreversible deafferentation of the limbic system, association neocortex and basal forebrain. A number of conditions are known to be predisposing risk factors for AD. In several of these, initiation of glial-mediated inflammatory pathways as a mechanism of AD is getting a lot of attention. On the other hand, a biochemical marker for monitoring the onset and progression of the disease would be a valuable tool for disease management. Also such a marker might be used as an end point in clinical intervention protocols. This biochemical marker will have the potential for identifying subjects afflicted with the disease and possibly for monitoring the onset and longitudinal progression of the disease. Here we have reviewed the latest papers of different approaches to AD. Of course, there is a section of PET which is very useful clinically nowadays.
