In order to explain the overpotential distributions in a nominally cathodic fluidized bed electrode, model equations were derived for a monopolar aggregate, a bipolar aggregate and a monopolar fluidized bed electrode. These model equations must be compared with the experimental data to examine their validity. The local overpotential distributions were measured in monopolar packed bed, bipolar packed bed and bipolar fluidized bed. And these results were compared with each model equation. For the bipolar fluidized bed, the overpotential distributions were shifted to anodic region with increase of bed expansion. Also, comparing the experimental data with the model equation for a monopolar fluidized bed, there were good agreements in high expansions, but not satisfactorilly in low expansions.

성향점수매칭분석을 활용한 경찰신뢰와 법집행 순응의사 연구

위험사회의 도래와 이에 따른 행정국가화 현상은 민간부문에 대한 공적 영역의 개입 필요성이 증 대되었음을 의미한다. 이는 코로나19로 대변되는 현재의 상황에서도 확인할 수 있듯 날로 심화되고 있는 각종 사회문제 해결을 위해 공공부문의 개입과 통제의 중요성이 증가하고 있음을 보여준다고 할 수 있다. 이에 따라 공공부문 중 치안을 담당하는 경찰의 민간부문에 대한 조정과 통제의 중요성 역시 증가하고 있으며, 이와 같은 상황에서 중요한 것은 개인의 권리와 자유를 통제 받는 상황에 대 해 시민의 동의와 순응을 유도하는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 상황에 의거하여 이 연구에서는 경찰의 법집행 활동에 대한 시민의 순응의사에 영향을 미치는 요인을 경찰에 대한 신뢰를 중심으로 확인해보고자 한다. 또한 다양한 변수와 특성을 통제하 지 못하여 주요 변수의 정확한 효과성을 확인하는 것이 어렵다는 기존 사회과학 연구의 한계점을 보완해보는 것 역시 연구의 목적이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 이와 같은 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 이 연구에서는 성향점수매칭(PSM)을 활용한 준실험설계를 통해 경찰에 대한 신뢰와 법집행 순응의 사의 관계를 확인하였다. 분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구대상인 서울 거주 성인남녀 503명의 경찰에 대한 신뢰 정도를 높은 집단과 낮은 집단 으로 구별하여 경찰활동의 효과성 인식, 절차적 공정성 인식, 분배적 공정성 인식의 정도를 확인한 결과 각각의 집단은 상이한 특성을 지니고 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 곧 경찰에 대한 신뢰수준 이외의 다른 특성이 상이하지 않음을 의미하고, 이와 같은 상황에서 분석을 실시할 경우 경찰신뢰의 정확한 효과성을 확인할 수 없음을 의미한다. 둘째, 성향점수매칭(PSM) 분석을 활용하여 연구대상 을 동일한 특성을 가진 두 개의 집단으로 구성한 뒤 각 집단의 변수 별 평균비교를 실시한 결과 통 계적으로 동일한 특성을 가지게 되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 이처럼 두 개의 집단이 서 로 동일한 특성을 가질 수 있도록 선행작업을 실시한 뒤 경찰에 대한 신뢰가 법집행 순응의사에 영 향을 미치는지를 확인하였다. 분석결과 경찰에 대한 신뢰는 법집행 순응의사에 유의미한 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다시 말해 경찰에 대한 신뢰가 증가한다면 경찰의 법집행 활동과 이 에 수반되는 지시에 순응하려는 태도를 보이게 된다고 할 수 있다. The main purpose of the study is to ensure that citizens' confidence in the police affects their willingness to comply with orders. In addition, the purpose of the study is to supplement the limitations of previous studies that it is difficult to identify the exact effectiveness of key variables because they do not control various variables and characteristics. Therefore, to achieve the purpose of such research, the study identified the relationship between confidence in the police and compliance with police instructions through quasi-experimental design using propensity score matching (PSM). The analysis results are summarized as follows. First, 503 adult men and women living in Seoul were identified as having different characteristics after identifying the degree of awareness of effectiveness, procedural fairness, and distributed fairness of police activities by distinguishing the level of confidence in police from high and low groups. Second, the propensity score matching (PSM) analysis was used to organize the study targets into two groups with the same characteristics, and then to compare the means of each group of variables, the results showed that they had statistically the same characteristics. Finally, after conducting prior work so that the two groups could have the same characteristics, it was confirmed that confidence in the police affected their willingness to comply with the police's instructions. According to the analysis, confidence in the police has a significant positive effect on the police's willingness to comply with orders. In other words, if confidence in the police increases, they will show an attitude of complying with the police's law enforcement activities and accompanying instructions.

개성공단은 남북 간 대립체제에서 남북이 함께 생활해야 하는 공간적 상황이 갑자기 벌어졌기 때문에 ‘서로다름’으로 인해 문제가 계속 발생하였다. 따라서 남북이 이러한 다름을 극복하고 공간 통합을 이루기 위해서는 갈등적상호작용을 통해 합의에 이르고 이를 통해 신뢰를 형성하는 것이 필수적이었다. 개성공단에서의 이러한 문제 해결을위해서 창설된 개성공업지구관리위원회는 책임 있고 연속성 있는 기관으로서 내외부 네트워크와 소통체계를 구축하고 남북 합의를 주도하고 제도화하여 신뢰를 구축할 수 있는 제도적인 장을 형성하는 협력적 역할을 충실하게 이행하였음이 확인되었다. 관리위원회의 협력적 거버넌스 역할로 개성공단에는 남북통합경험시스템이 형성되었고 이를통해서 남북은 ‘신뢰구간’을 확보하면서 활동의 자유도를 늘려나갈 수 있었다. 이 연구는 추후 남북이 함께 같은 공간에서 생활하게 되는 협력 과정에서 시행착오를 줄이고 연착륙하는데 중요한 단서를 제공하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 집단간 대립적이고 갈등적인 상황에서 사회/문화적 통합을 이루는 방법에 대해서도 적지 않은 시사점을 제공한다.

노자老子의 道와 마음공부

Tao and mind training in Lao-tzu has great worth in constructing post-modern life and civilization. That’s why the writer of this article who is sociologist is writing on this topic. In terms of the modern world view, the current society comes close to the utopia. But the current society comes actually close to the dystopia. This means that the modern world view does not fit to the reality anymore. Now the imminent task of the human being is to pursue the post-modern life and civilization based on the modernization. The essence of the construction of the post-modern life and civilization is ‘mind training.’ Mind training means to aware the alienation of myself who is divorced from Tao, and to endeavor to activate the real self. The recovery of the real self through mind training is the fundamental goal of our life, and this is the meaning of the post-modern life. In this sense, Tao and mind training of Lao-tzu has meaning for present and future. In the text Lao-tzu, there are rich implication to figure out the ideal life in the post-modern sense, the alienation of modern life, and mind training as the efforts to recover the modern alienation. The purpose of this paper is to cast light upon the modern life critically and to design the post-modern life and civilization based on the text Lao-tzu. The contents of this paper is as follows. The first is to make clear the meaning of Tao. The second is to show the post-modern ideal life which coincides with Tao. The third is to describe the alienation of modern life which is discordant with Tao. The final is to discuss mind training for the unity with Tao. 사회학자인 필자가 ‘노자의 도道와 마음공부’를 주제로 글을 쓰고자 하는 것은 ‘노자의 도와 마음공부’가 탈현대적인 삶과 문명을 열어가는 데 있어 커다란 가치를 갖고 있다고 생각하기 때문이다. 현대적인 관점에서 보면 현 사회는 이상사회에 근접한 사회이지만, 인류의 불행지수는 과거 어느 때보다 높다. 이것은 현대적인 관점이 더 이상 현실과 부합하지 않음을 의미하고, 그러므로 현대적인 관점을 폐기해야만 함을 의미한다. 지금 인류는 현대화의 기초 위에서 탈현대적인 삶과 문명 건설을 추구해야 한다. 탈현대적인 삶과 문명 건설의 요체가 바로 ‘마음공부’이다. 마음공부란 도와 괴리된 자신의 소외를 자각하고, 참된 자기를 깨어나 활동하게 하기 위해 기울이는 노력이다. 마음공부를 통해 참된 자기를 회복하는 것은 삶의 궁극적인 목적이며, 이것이 바로 탈현대적인 삶의 의미이다. 바로 이런 의미에서 노자의 도와 마음공부는 현재적인 그리고 미래적인 의미를 갖고 있다. 『노자』에는 탈현대적인 의미에서 이상적인 삶의 모습, 현대적인 삶의 소외, 소외 극복의 노력으로서의 마음공부에 대한 논의가 풍부하게 이루어져 있다. 이를 정리해서, 현 인류의 삶을 비판적으로 조명하고, 탈현대적인 삶과 문명의 좌표를 밝히는 것이 본 논문의 목적이다. 본 논문의 서술 내용은 아래와 같다. 첫째, 노자 사상에서 도道의 의미를 밝히고자 했다. 둘째, 도와 합치하는 무위無爲의 삶으로서 이상적인 삶의 의미를 규명하고자 했다. 셋째, 도와 어긋나 있는 현대인의 소외된 삶을 서술하고자 했다. 마지막으로, 도와의 합일을 위한 마음공부를 논의하고자 했다.
