광양항은 석유산업 호황 및 여수국가산업단지 화주사의 공장 증측 등 광양항 여천지역 석유화학 제품의 수요 증가로 인해 부두의 체선율이 높아지고 있어 이로 인해 화주사의 체선비용 증가 등으로 어려움을 겪고 있다. 전국적으로 체선율이 감소하는 추세에 있지만 광양항의 경우 화물 증가에 따른 체선율이 증가하고 있다. 세계적인 화학산업 호황으로 수요가 증가하여 앞으로도 광양항의 체선율은 증가할 것으로 예상되고 있다. 광양항 체선 현황에 대한 인식과 문제점 해결방안에 대해서 전문가들을 대상으로 설문조사를 하고 AHP 방법론을 적용하여 분석을 진행하였다. 총 3개의 측정 영역과 9개의 세부 측정 요인을 선정하였으며, 분석 결과 측정 영역에서는 운영시스템 관리의 중요도(0.517)가 가장 높게 분석되었으며, 환산 가중치를 적용한 세부 측정 요인에서는 원거리 정박지 이전(0.275), 접안 후 호스연결 시간 단축(0.141), 본선 시설 고장 예방(0.139)의 우선 순위로 나타났다. Gwangyang Port is experiencing difficulties because of the higher demand for petrochemical products at the Port and the higher demand is from the booming petroleum industry and factories in the Yeosu National Industrial Complex. The percentage of shipments at Gwangyang Port is increasing because of the increase in freight rates. Demand is expected to increase because of the boom in the global chemical industry. A questionnaire survey was employed to ascertain the awareness about the current status of Gwangyang Port’s vessels and the solution to the problem it faces, an analysis was conducted by applying the AHP methodology, which led to the selection of three dimensions and nine detailed factors. As a result of analysis, operating system management was found to be the most important (0.517) in the measurement area. Among the detailed measurement factors, using the conversion weighting (0.275), distant marina migration (0.141), and the prevention of malfunction (0.139).
