The purpose of this paper is to study the cutting stress of soil, the cutting method, the condition of main strain, the friction, and so on. As a result of experiment collecting various soils in the experimental apparatus, the shearing style, the flowing style and the cracking style were found. In short the sand and soft hentonite were cut as shearing style, and the soft corrosie clay and roam were cut as flowing style and the compact roam was cut as tearing style. The destructing condition of soil is due to the shearing destruction and the tension destruction. From the front upper part of soil cutting plate, the maximum main stress and minimum stress gave rise to the compressing power and resulted in the shearing destruction. From the front lower part of the soil cutting plate, the maximum main stress became the compressing power and the minimum main stress became tension stress causing the tension destruction. The cutting method of metal, wood, and stone was also investigated comparatively.

In this paper I described the thermo-setting skill and the metal organization mainly centering on the strengthening of steel by comparing and contrasting and contrasting the conventional research results one another. next, by comnaratively investigating the best thermo-treatment condition and manujacturing method in a certain metal material, I pointed out first of all the need of the strong endurance in the mechenical quality of metal. The metal material should be planned and manvfwpactured so as to accord with the special purpose of its use, and also ti should be attempted to be made common and practical through thermo-treatment and manufacturing process. Besides making on attempt to investigate these problems, I tried to offer a little help to the youing students and engineers working in this frield.

This study is a part of the investigation about the influence of wear intensity on the carbon steel. Utilizing the basic alloy elements of steel such as C, Si, Mn, P, Cu, the author comparatively investigated the guessed value and the experimental value about the wear intensity(6w), the surrender intensity(6S), the expand intensity (6B)and so on under each condition before and after heat treatment, and found that, in case n,B were added to during heat treatment, the wear intensity was increased and quenching and tempering were much improved and then, according as the utilizable condition of the material of the mechanic structure was cultivated, the quenching and tempering the carbon steel came to be utilized practically as the comparatively economic, highly intensified materials.

When we contact two finishing sides of materials, some friction will occur and when they move, there will be an action of fictional force on them. when that happens, the problem of friction of lubrication will depend on the roughness of processing surface, dimensions, load forces, fatigue intensity, increment of abrasion-resistance, increment of erosion-resistance, dimunition of transmutation layer, and temperature etc, in accordance with materials. The writer examined the appearance of abrasion-resisting and studied various utilizations such as grinding, milling, plane lubrication and revolving lubrication, The writer intended to minimize the appearance of abrasion and to adjust the inevitable or basic problems for geometrical precise dimension in addition to reappraisal of precision construction.

The experiments of rotary bending, repeated twist and fatigue test on the solid drawn rod of tempered Eutectoid steel resulted in the following effects. 1. In case we put the repetitive infinitesimal deformation around th fatigue limit many times, the hardening on the surface increases and the effect of infinitesimal deformation presents itself. 2. In case we repeat such a degree of deformation as will not cause the hardening, infinitesimal deformation does not happen. 3.Even in case we remove the infinitesimal fatigue crack on the surface which is occured by the repetitive infinitesimal fatigue limit, there remains hardening and infinitesimal fatigue presents itself. 4.The hardening of material caused by the repetition of infinitesimal deformation depends on the effect of deformation. 5.the peculiar up-yielding point of mild steel presents itself on the first stress and doesn't appear on the continually repeated stress. Besides many other conclusions have been drawn, too.
