The word, "Young offender" is used in Korea indicating offenses committed by juveniles ranging in age from 10 to under 19. The range in age of juvenile varies according to time and nation, but these days "juvenile" as academic term indicates people whose age is ranged from 9 to 24. And the term, "delinquency" is used instead of offense. The juvenile delinquency is most severe problem of modern society globally. In recent, increasing of sexual assault, habitual criminal, decreasing age of delinquency and collectivization are remarkable phenomena of juvenile delinquency. Most of juvenile delinquency are originated from the impulse of the moment. With sudden change of society since 2000, severe delinquencies of juveniles are extended to new social issue. In this paper, protection methods from juvenile delinquency are proposed through surveying crime complex and diverse statistics based on the latest case and that recent juvenile delinquency is overall problem of family, school and society.
모래 지반의 입자크기가 지반-말뚝 시스템의 동적 거동에 미치는 영향 평가
한진태,유민택,양의규,김명모 한국지반공학회 2010 한국지반공학회논문집 Vol.26 No.7
This paper presents experimental results of a series of 1-g shaking table model tests performed on end-bearing single piles and pile groups to investigate the effect of particle size on the dynamic behavior of soil-pile systems. Two soil-pile models were tested twice: first using Jumoonjin sand, and second using Australian Fine sand. In the case of single-pile models, the lateral displacement was almost within 1% of pile diameter which corresponds to the elastic range of the pile. The back-calculated p-y curves show that the subgrade reaction of the Jumoonjin-sand-model ground was larger than that of the Australian Fine-sand-model ground at the same displacement. This phenomenon means that the stress-strain behavior of Jumoonjin sand was initially stiffer than that of Australian Fine sand. This difference was also confirmed by resonant column tests and compression triaxial tests. And the single pile p-y backbone curves of the Australian fine sand were constructed and compared with those of the Jumoonjin sand. As a result, the stiffness of the p-y backbone curves of Jumunjin sand was larger than those of Australian fine sand. Therefore, using the same p-y curves regardless of particle size can lead to inaccurate results when evaluating dynamic behavior of soil-pile system. In the case of the group-pile models, the lateral displacement was much larger than the elastic range of pile movement at the same test conditions in the single-pile models. The back-calculated p-y curves in the case of group pile models were very similar in both sands because the stiffness difference between the Jumoonjin-sand-model ground and the Australian Fine-sand-model ground was not significantly large at a large strain level, where both sands showed non-linear behavior. According to a series of single pile and group pile test results, the evaluation group pile effect using the p-multiplier can lead to inaccurate results on dynamic behavior of soil-pile system.

Purpose: Visual information is one of the most important factors for postural balance. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of visual deprivation on the lower extremities and trunk muscle activity on an unstable surface during quiet standing. Methods: Fifteen healthy males from a university population participated in this study. Surface electromyography of the rectus abdominis, the erector spinalis, the vastus femoris oblique, the semitendinosis, the tibialis anterior, and the medial gastrocnemius was measured using EMG equipment (Telemyo 2400, Noraxon, USA). The participants were asked to maintain postural balance on an unstable surface (Balance pad, Airex, USA) for 30 seconds with eyes open and with eyes closed during quiet standing. The Wilcoxon test was used to compare the muscle activity of the lower extremities and the trunk between open and closed eyes on an unstable surface. Results: The muscle activity of the trunk and the lower extremities was increased more with eyes closed than with eyes open on the unstable surface during quiet standing. Conclusion: The findings from this study suggest that visual information could alter lower extremity and trunk muscle activity. Therefore, visual deprivation can be used as a method to improve postural balance.

In this study, a series of 1 g shaking table tests were carried out for a single pile in soft clay with various input acceleration amplitudes and frequencies. Based on the results, dynamic p-y curves were drawn and, in turn, the dynamic p-y backbone curve was formed by connecting the peak points, corresponding to the maximum soil resistance, of the dynamic p-y curves. In order to represent the p-y backbone curve numerically, Matlock’s p-y formulations for clay was used to find the initial stiffness (kini) and the ultimate capacity (pu) of the clay, both of which are required to formulate the p-y backbone curve as a hyperbolic function. The suggested p-y backbone curve was verified through comparisons with currently available p-y curves as well as other researchers' centrifuge test results and numerical analysis results.

In this study, the magnitude and phase variation of dynamic earth pressure acting on a pile in liquefiable soils were analyzed using a series of 1g shaking table tests. In the case of a pile in dry sand, the value of the dynamic earth pressure was the highest near the surface due to the inertia force of the upper load on the pile and it decreased as the depth of the pile got lower. On the other hand, for a pile in liquefiable sand, the magnitude and shape of the dynamic earth pressure were similar to those of the excess pore pressure and was largely affected by the deformation of soils. Furthermore, the inertia force of the upper load and the dynamic earth pressure acted in opposite directions in cases of dry sand and saturated sand where low excess pore pressure had developed. However, after liquefaction, those force components near surface acted unfavorably in the same direction. Finally, the Westergaard’s solution was modified and proposed as a method to evaluate the magnitude of dynamic earth pressure acting on a pile during liquefaction.

This study was conducted to find out the factors that allowed the local police to faithfully carry out their original duties of protecting the lives and bodies of the people and to devote themselves to their duties. The purpose of the recent leadership study was to find out the impact of organizational fairness and trust in the boss on the local police's organizational civic behavior. To achieve this goal, based on the results of a survey of 498 local police officers working at 31 police stations under the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, multiple regression analysis was designed to verify whether organizational fairness (distribution fairness, procedural fairness, interaction fairness) and trust in the boss (pathetic trust, cognitive trust) affect organizational civic behavior (ideal behavior, conscientious behavior, participatory behavior, sportsmanship). The analysis found that organizational fairness and the trust of the boss had a significant effect on the organized citizen behavior of the local police.
Evaluation of the Dynamic P-Y Curves of Soil-Pile System in Liquefiable Ground
한진태,김성렬,김명모 한국지반공학회 2007 한국지반공학회논문집 Vol.23 No.3
Various approaches have been developed for the dynamic response analysis of piles. In one of the approaches, the soil-pile interaction is approximated by using parallel nonlinear springs, namely the p-y curves. Currently available p-y curve recommendations are based on static and cyclic lateral load tests. Other researchers have attempted to extend the p-y curves by incorporating the effects of liquefaction on soil-pile interaction and derived scaling factors of p-y curves to account for the liquefaction. However, opinions on the scaling factors vary. In this study, the scaling factors, which reflect the variation of the elastic moduli of surrounding soils, were established combining the relationship between excess pore pressures and the natural frequencies of a soil-pile system obtained from 1g shaking table tests and the relationship between the elastic moduli of surrounding soils and the natural frequencies of a soil-pile system obtained from numerical analyses. As a result, the scaling factors were presented in an exponential function.

Waveform micropile is an advanced construction method that combined the concept of conventional micropile with jet grouting method. This new form of micropile was developed to improve frictional resistance, which consequently leads to achieving higher bearing capacity and cost efficiency. Two field tests were conducted to examine the field applicability as well as to verify the effects of bearing capacity enhancement. In particular, waveform micropile construction using jet grouting method was performed to evaluate the viability of waveform micropile installation. After testing, the surrounding ground was excavated to check the accomplishment on the shape of waveform micropile. The result showed that waveform micropile can be installed by adjusting the grouting time and pressure. In the loading tests, waveform micropile’s bearing capacity increased by 1.4 to 2.3 times depending on their shapes when compared with conventional micropile. Overall results clearly demonstrated that waveform micropile is an enhanced construction method that can improve bearing capacity.
Kinematic Analysis of Head and Trunk Movements of Young Adults while Climbing Stairs or a Ramp
한진태 대한물리치료학회 2010 대한물리치료학회지 Vol.22 No.6
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic adaptation of head and trunk to ascend stairs and a ramp. Subjects were healthy young adults. Three‐dimensional kinematic patterns of head and trunk movements were examined during stair climbing and steeper ramp climbing. Methods: Fourteen young subjects with no history of chronic or acute musculoskeletal, cardiovascular or respiratory disorders took part in this experiment. Kinematic data were collected using a 6 camera Vicon system (Oxford Metrix,Oxford, England). Repeated measures ANOVA analyses were used to investigate the effect of gait mode on kinematics of the head and trunk. Results: The angle of the trunk while ascending stairs or a ramp was modified in three human planes (p<0.05). The angle of head and neck during the ascending of stairs or a ramp was not changed in the sagittal plane but was changed in the frontal and transverse planes (p<0.05). Conclusion: This study describes and discusses some basic kinematic mechanisms underlying the pattern of head and trunk changes during stair and ramp climbing and showed that postural adaptation of the head and trunk is necessary to maintain balance.
