Influence of Additives and Oxidation on Electrical Properties of Low Density Polyethylene

Vol.2 No.1

The influence of additives and oxidation was studied for the electrical properties of Low - Density Polyethylene. The result are as follows, 1) The carrier mobilities of oxidized Low - Density Polyethylene increased with oxidation. 2) The C₁, C₂peaks of oxidized Low - Density Polyethylene are due to depolarization of the C = 0 dipoles. 3) Dischargine current in Low - Density Polyethylene was increased with addition of AS - 1, because AS - 1 work the part of a source of ion (Ca) supply.

      • All My Sons와 The Price에 있어서의 罪와 責任問題

Vol.29 No.1

Arthur Miller laid stress on an individual's behavior and the responsibility followed by it, and he was concerned about a human being as a social a human being as a social animal. It is likely that an individual conflicts with his family or his society, falls into a moral dilemma and suffers the process of self-realization. Arthur Miller dealt with the problem of guilt and responsibility in All My Sons and The Price. Joe in All My Sons thought that he was only a member of his family and that he had only to be responsible to his family for the safety and happiness of them. But he didn't realized that his wrong behavior and thought caused the pilots' death and Larry's death, and he justified himself. But after he was attacked by Chris's condemning and then he saw Larry's letter, he realized that his behavior was antisocial, and also he felt guilty of the pilots' death and Larry's. At last he shot himself as a kind of atonement for his guilt. Walter in The Price did not feel responsible to his father, and he did not lend 500$, which had a very important meaning to Victor, to him. Affer obtaining material success and then suffering from a nervous breakdown, he felt guilty of Victor's failure which he thought Victor's life was. So, offering much money and a proper job to Victor, he attempted to be freed from a sense of guilt and to make peace with Victor. But Victor turned down Walter's offer. In short, Joe's guilt and Walter's arose from selfishness in its forms of materialism or self-indulgence. Joe's guilt has both the nature of sin and that of crime, but Walter's guilt is a sin.

      • The Comedy of Errors

Vol.30 No.1

It is usually said that The Comedy of Errors is a mere farce. But some critics oppose to the opinion and they insist that The Comedy of Errors is not a mere farce but a comedy which includes serious elements as well as farcical elements. I agree to the latter. The serous elements of the play are the follows: Aegeon's tragic story, the creation of two pairs of twins, a touch of romantic love, a topic of the loss an transformation of identity, and a topic of the destruction of order in life and the recovery of it. In this paper, I examine the plot synopsis of The Comedy of Errors and the sources of the play. Then, comparing the play with the sources in the aspects of plot, theme and characterization, I recognize that the play is not only the comedy which has the best plot in Shakespeare's early comedies, but only that which has serious elements.

      • Manipulator 로서의 Helena : All's Well That Ends Well

Vol.2 No.-

Our response to what kind of play is Aww is really varied. We might say, "The response to this play depends on what we think of, first of all, Helena, and then Bertam and the ending." Helena is, as almost all the critics and scholars agree, the central figure and central problem of interpretation in the play. It is needless to say that our response to what Helena's character and role are is as varied as that to the play. As for me, the central theme of Aww is human tolerance, for-giveness and in addition efforts for reconciliation. It seems to me that Helena is not a so-called man-huntress, who is led by sexual love or social ambition, nor a semi-divine person, in other word, God's agent who redeems a person from sin. She is, like Vincentio in Measure for Measure and Prospero in The Tempest, a tolerant but faulty human manipulator, and as the play develops, she gets mature through self-knowledge and comes to love Bertram not as an ideal man without any fault but as a man who falls into a sin, blinded by sexual desire. Her love towards Bertram is pure and self-sacrificing. This love makes her a manipulator and she wants him as her husband. On the basis of her, virtue and optimism, and, above all, with wisdom and a remarkable resourcefulness as well as that love, she gets over unexpected difficulty and adversity, and then finally comes to harmonize with her husband. Therefore, the purpose of this critical essay is to appreciate how Helena as a tolerant human manipulator acts through the exam-ination of not only the motives of her manipulation but also its method, process and result. The main body of the essay consists of three chapters. The first one of them is about her manipulation for getting over an obstacles to marrying him , and the second one is about the manipulation for the fulfillemnt of the two conditions, which her husband Bertram requires, and the third is about her manipulation towards reconciliation and tolerance. One thing that I'd like to suggest additionally is that Helena's final purpose of manipulation, that is, forgiveness and efforts for reconciliation would be a reflection of the spirit of William Shakespeare's comedy.

Salieri

Vol.8 No.-

This study is to examine the life of Salieri who is locked in himself, and then to clarify the fact that the hostile relation between God and a human being may be caused by the latter, not by the former. Salieri's misery results from both the too strong desire for immortal fame and the wrongly-fixed concept of God. These kinds of attachment are the driving force to dominate his lire. They make him not only envy a musical genius Mozart but also declare war against God as his eternal enemy. In fighting with Him he destroys the battleground Mozart economically, socially and physically. The too strong attachment to fame, in other words, the desire to be immortal like God doesn't bring him to the realization that he is also an Amadeus like Mozart. Rather he feels rejected by Him. We conclude that he is a prisoner locked in himself and his faith remains both self-centered and self-justifying. Further reflecting his miserable life we get the lesson that our faith grows mature only when we are free from ourself.
