According to the results from the evaluation, that was enforced by the Academic Affairs of Y University in the year 2002, the satisfaction level of interiors of classrooms appeared to be very low Only 11.6% of the respondents said that they felt comfortable in classroom environment The other 54.8% said that they were unsatisfied with the physical quality of classrooms at school In addition, students demanded a change in such items as lighting, air circulation, room temperature, worn out chairs and desks, and the size of the classrooms It is surprising to see that classrooms that have been built during the evolution of technology have created such a discomfort to students Therefore, creating a comfortable environment for all classrooms throughout the campus by applying a systematic approach that would meet students' needs is the purpose of research The results show that the project of remodeling has improved the quality of classrooms and increased the level of satisfaction on the overall classroom environment

According to the rapid change of the modern society, science & technology influences the society significantly. Thus, Korean education, especially the science education must be reviewed in the terms of that, the purpose of this article is to introduce social, environmental context's science education - STS education. STS education is to arise the ability of the democratic decision - making & participating in a discussion. The areas of this are knowledge, process, creativity, attitude, application. Also there are social issues approach & the social studies of science approach in the STS education. The social issues approach is the predominant approach to STS education; the social studies of science approach is often found in the form of goals & objectives for STS education. In order to introduce STS education to Korean science education, this author suggests the following; 1. The relation between science & society in science education must be emphasized more. 2. The study and development of STS education appropriate for Korean society must be preceded. 3. The new course about STS and technical education in the level of college must be developed.

The most important issue of modern cities is a crime. Crime prevention through environmental planning is needed in the urban mixed-use commercial facilities which have an important role of modern urban life, and have a positive elements for local society. The purpose of this study is to propose a direction of crime prevention through environmental planning for the urban mixed-use commercial facilities. In order to accomplish this purpose, a questionnaire survey is performed on users of urban mixed-use commercial facilities to evaluate the importance and satisfaction. The conclusions are as follows; 1) Crime prevention through environmental planning is needed in the public space which forms boundary between urban mixed-use commercial facilities and other urban facilities. 2) Safety support planning is necessary for women and children for crime prevention of urban mixed-use commercial facilities. 3) Crime prevention planning is needed in urban mixed-use commercial facilities of the various isolation space. 4) Crime prevention through environmental planning is needed for facilities of after business hours. 5) Various security alarm system considering the characteristics of the space is needed for crime prevention. 6) Community program is necessary in order to increase the utilization of external public space. 7) A sign is necessary to prevent a criminal act in urban mixed-use commercial facilities. 8) The connection of commercial facilities and activity inducing factors is needed. 범죄는 현대 사회의 가장 큰 문제로 인식되고 있다. 현대 도시생활의 중요한 부분을 차지하고, 지역 사회에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 도시 복합상업시설의 범죄예방 환경계획은 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 도시 복합상업시설의 범죄예방 환경계획 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 도시 복합상업시설의 이용자를 대상으로 중요도 및 만족도에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사결과 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 1) 첫째, 도시 복합상업시설의 범죄예방 환경을 조성하기 위해서는 경계적 특성의 공용공간에 대한 범죄예방 환경계획이 필요하다. 2) 도시 복합상업시설의 범죄예방을 위해 여성 및 어린이에 대한 세부적인 안전 지원 계획이 필요하다. 3) 도시 복합상업시설 내의 다양한 ‘고립공간’에 대한 범죄예방 환경 계획이 필요하다. 4) 도시 복합상업시설의 영업시간 외 시간대의 범죄예방 환경의 조성이 필요하다. 5) 도시 복합상업시설의 범죄예방 환경 조성을 위해 다양한 공간의 용도적 특성을 고려한 방범설비의 다양화가 필요하다. 6) 도시 복합상업시설 외부 공용공간의 이용 활성화를 높이기 위한 커뮤니티 프로그램이 필요하다. 7) 도시 복합상업시설에서는 표지 등을 통해 일탈행위를 방지 할 수 있어야 한다. 8) 도시 복합상업시설은 상업시설과 활동 유발 인자의 연계가 필요하다.

IPA를 활용한 어린이공원의 안전환경계획에 관한 연구 - 저층주거 밀집지역의 어린이공원을 중심으로 -

Among various types of city parks, children's parks are one of the closest places to the daily life of citizens. Especially, children’s parks in low-rise residential areas have great importance because they play a crucial role as a community hub in the areas. However, children’s parks are exposed to a variety of risks including a high level of openness and difficulties in consistent management. Therefore, the objective of this study is to suggest appropriate directions for establishment of the safety environment of the children's parks through a survey on the users' consciousness about their safety. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey on users of children parks located in low-rise residential areas. The results of the study are as follows. First, the highest priority should be given to the safety of preschool children when the usage patterns of the children's parks are taken into account. Second, the results show relatively low satisfaction with crime safety even though its importance is high according to the consciousness by the type of children’s safety. Third, it is necessary to recognize that there is a difference between the degree of satisfaction and importance that the citizens feel about the safety in terms of the physical environment of the children's parks, and to establish plans for systematic and continuous improvement of the environment. Fourth, the 'crime prevention designs' need to be applied first to create a safe environment of the children's parks to the satisfaction of users.

문화예술학습활동이 삶의 만족도와 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향 : 자기효능감 및 개방성의 조절효과

본 연구는 문화예술학습활동의 참여도가 개인의 삶의 만족도와 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향과 함께 자기효능감과 개방성의 조절효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 울산광역시 지역축제 참가자와 문화원 문화교실 수강생 240명에게 설문자료를 배포하여 이 중 227부(94.6%)를 활용하였다. 연구문제로는 첫째, 문화예술학습활동을 관람활동과 체험활동으로 분류하여 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며, 둘째, 문화예술학습활동이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 마지막으로 셋째, 이들의 관계에서 자기효능감과 개방성의 조절효과에 대해서 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문화예술학습활동 참여도는 개인의 삶의 만족도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 문화예술학습활동의 참여도는 개인의 심리적 안녕감에도 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난다. 셋째, 자기효능감과 개방성의 조절효과에 대한 분석결과를 살펴보면, 자기효능감은 문화예술학습활동과 삶의 만족도 및 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 모두 조절효과가 발견되었으며, 개방성에 대한 조절효과는 문화예술학습활동과 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계에서만 발견되었다. This study was to evaluate how the participation in cultural and artistic activities impacts on an individual's life satisfaction and psychological wellbeing. And these impacts of participation were verified based on the moderating effect of self-efficacy and openness. For this, the questionnaires were distributed to 240 people who were either the participants of the Ulsan Whale Festival or the students of the Cultural Center. And among them, 227 questionnaires (94.6%) were used for the study. The first purpose of the study was to analyze how both indirect and direct participation in cultural and artistic activities correlate with the degree of the individual's life satisfaction. The second purpose was on the correlation between the participation in cultural and artistic activities and the individual's sense of psychological wellbeing. And lastly, the study was to know how the self-efficacy and openness moderate in these two kinds of correlation. The results of the analyses are as follows. Firstly, it shows that the participation in cultural and artistic activities has a significant positive influence on the life satisfaction. And, it is also measured to have a positive influence on individual's sense of psychological wellbeing. In the case of the moderating effect of self-efficacy, self-efficacy driven by cultural and artistic activities is significantly positively related to both the degree of life satisfaction and the sense of psychological wellbeing. And, in the case of the moderating effect of openness, openness in regards of the psychological wellbeing shows much more significance with activities through exhibitions, movies, musical instruments, dancing and so on. However, at the same time, openness in regards of the life satisfaction is not meaningfully related to both indirect and direct participation of activities. Based on the results, the study shows that both indirect and direct experiences of cultural and artistic activities, the degree of life satisfaction, the sense of psychological wellbeing, self-efficacy, and openness are all very useful variables to promote the level of participation in cultural and artistic activities.
