Purpose: Suicide among adolescents is a serious problem worldwide, and especially, the suicide rate of teenagers is increasing rapidly in South Korea. This study was conducted to investigate the factors affecting the respective suicidal behavior in terms of home-environment characteristics, health behavior characteristics, and psychological health characteristics in Korean adolescents. Methods: The data of the Web-based Survey of the Youth Risk Behavior from 2015 to 2017 collected by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) was analyzed using multivariable logistic regression analysis. Results: The influential factors by depression and suicidal behavior (suicidal ideation (SI), suicidal plan (SP), and suicidal attempt (SA)) were female(adjusted odds ratios [aOR], 1.45, 1.69, 1.30, 2.19), age (aOR 1.03, 0.98, 0.97, 0.90), no family members (aOR 1.21, 1.36, 2.11, 2.32), living with only the father (aOR 1.05, 1.06, 1.07, 1.11), high economic status (aOR 1.15, 1.22, 1.34, 1.46), residence in relatives’ home (aOR 1.6, 1.36, 2.34, 1.97), drinking experience (aOR 1.35, 1.47, 1.57, 1.76), smoking experience (aOR 1.28, 1.30, 1.31, 1.94), hospital treatment experience due to violence (aOR 2.18, 3.33, 6.24, 8.40), bad health status (aOR 1.23, 1.48, 2.00, 2.15), unhappiness (aOR 2.49, 6.14, 6.72, 8.89), and a lot of stress (aOR 6.05, 10.40, 4.86, 5.52). Conclusion: The suicidal behavior risk screening and prevention program for adolescents should be developed considering the subjective happiness and hospital treatment experience status due to violence that affects suicidal behavior.
STEAM 교육을 지원하는 ICT 융합형 블록 교구 개발을 위한 디자인 제안 - 조형 구축을 위한 블록 형상과 방법을 중심으로 -

With the advance of ICT, convergent products and services have appeared. Our educational environments need to foster ICT-based convergent capable people through STEAM education. A standard framework for STEAM education consists of 3 steps: (1) situation presentation, (2) creative design, and (3) emotional experience. This can enhance students' creativity through the virtuous circle that teachers help students solve their own problems by themselves and make students feel satisfied with the process. Accordingly, the creative robot-making and its application with a convergent teaching aids blocks have been proposed. But, existing ICT convergent blocks are limited for students in order to realize their ideas with them easily and quickly. Thus, new ICT convergent blocks to support STEAM education are needed. This study aims to propose the strategies for the design of ICT convergent blocks as teaching aids for STEAM education. Through the in-depth case studies of existing ICT convergent blocks, the design for ICT convergent blocks that can create different forms quickly and easily were proposed based on the driven-problems. ICT 기술의 진보에 따라 융합제품과 융합 서비스가 등장하고 있으며 교육환경에서도 창의적 인재 육성을 위한 융합교육인 STEAM 교육이 강조되고 있다. STEAM 교육의 학습준거 틀인 상황 제시, 창의적 설계, 감성적 체험은 기존의 주입식, 암기식 교육과 다르게 학습자 스스로 문제를 해결하고 성취를 통한 학습 동기를 부여받는 선순환 구조를 통해 학생들의 창의성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 이에 따라 창의적 로봇 제작 및 활용 교육 방안이 제안되고 있으며 이를 위한 블록 교구들이 활용되고 있다. 그러나 기존의 ICT 융합 블록 교구들은 교육현장에서 학습자의 아이디어 실현을 위해 빠르고 쉽게 다양한 형태를 구체화하며 실험할 수 있는 교수, 학습 도구로써 한계를 지닌다. 따라서 STEAM 교육을 지원하는 ICT 융합형 창의 블록 교구의 개발이 요구되는 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구는 STEAM 교육에 적합한 ICT 융합형 창의 블록 교구 개발을 위한 디자인 전략을 제안하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 STEAM 교육 준거 틀을 기반으로 기존 ICT 융합형 창의 블록의 사례 분석을 통해 문제점을 도출하고, 이를 기반으로 창의적 설계 단계에서 학습자가 아이디어를 쉽고 빠르게 다양한 조형을 통해 구체화할 수 있는 ICT 융합형 창의 블록을 위한 디자인 방안이 제안되었다.
Numerical Study on the Effect of Boat Tail Shape on Aerodynamic Drag of SUV

Longitudinal vortex formed at the rear area of the vehicle is one of the main sources of vehicle aerodynamic drag. The boat tail shape is applied to reduce the longitudinal vortex strength of the SUV so that the aerodynamic drag is improved. For this study, a commercially available SUV produced by domestic automobile company, Hyundai Motor Company, is selected as a baseline model. The boat tail shape is modeled on the baseline model using the morphing technique. The effects of boat tail shape on the aerodynamic drag has been numerically analyzed for a SUV with or without undercover. A commercial flow solver, ANSYS Fluent, is used for this study. The driving speed of SUV is 140 km/h. Even though the same boat tail shape is applied to the same vehicle, the aerodynamic drag improvement depends on the flow pattern behind the vehicle. It can be improved when the strength of the longitudinal vortex is weakened by the airflow generated by the boat tail shape.
김정은 시대 환경관련 활동과 협력 방안: 습지 생물다양성 보전 대내외 활동변화를 중심으로

The Democratic People’s Republic Korea (DPRK) has emphasized science and technology since the Kim Jong Un regime and is trying to participate the international environmental cooperation for sustainable development. Recently, it has been actively participating in Conservation and wise use of wetlands in the DPRK based on recognizing the importance of joining international conventions such as Ramsar Convention and designating of the protected areas. This study analyzed the policy to preserve wetland biodiversity in DPRK and the current status of exchanges and cooperation with the international community for future inter-Korean environmental cooperation. This study suggested stepwise cooperation under different assumptions - coordinated cooperation with the international community, enhanced cooperation under partially lifted sanctions, and full cooperation. The proposed sustainable inter-Korean environmental cooperation in this study can be implemented related to international issues such as Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, it can help to achieve strategic priorities for UN Strategic Framework in DPRK and cooperation projects to preserve biodiversity in wetlands. 북한은 김정은 정권 이후 과학기술의 중요성을 정책적으로 강조하고 있으며, 국제사회에서 논의되고 있는지속가능한 발전을 포함하여 환경관련 국제적 논의와흐름을 같이하려고 노력하고 있다. 최근 북한 정부는 람사르협약을 포함한 국제협약 가입, 국제보호지역 등재와 습지 생태계의 중요성을 인식하고 습지의 현명한 이용과 보전을 위한 활동에 적극적으로 참여하고 있다. 본연구에서는 김정은 정권 이후 북한 내 습지 생물다양성보전을 위한 정책과 국제사회와의 교류·협력 현황을 분석하여 향후 남북환경협력 방안을 제시하였다. 이때 대북제재 해제 여부에 따른 단계별 협력방안으로 국제사 회와의 공조 협력, 남북의 강화된 협력, 완전 협력방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 지속가능한 남북환경협력 방안은 지속가능한발전목표 달성을 위한 국제적 노력과 연계하여 진행할 수 있으며, 북한에서 관심을 가지고 있는 유엔전략계획 전략 우선순위와 성과목표 달성, 습지 생물다양성 보전을 위해 필요한 협력사업을 도출하는데 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
Spatio-Temporal Variability of Temperature and Precipitation in Seoul

This study analyzes the spatial and temporal variability of temperature (℃) and precipitation (mm) in Seoul, Korea. The temperature and precipitation data were measured at 31 automatic weather stations (AWSs) in Seoul for 10 years from 1997 to 2006. In this study, inverse distance squared weighting (IDSW) was applied to interpolate the non-measured spaces. To estimate the temperature and precipitation variability, the mean values and frequencies of hot and cold days were examined. The maximum and minimum temperatures were 32.80℃ in 1999 and -19.94℃ in 2001, respectively. The year 2006 showed the highest frequency of hot temperatures with 79 hot days, closely followed by 2004 and 2005. The coldest year was in 2001 with 105 cold days. The annual mean temperature and precipitation increased by about 1℃ and 483mm during the 10-year period, respectively. The temperature variability differed between high-elevation forested areas and low- elevation residential areas. However, the precipitation variability showed little relation with the topography and land use patterns.
突然變異的 形態 意外性 理論에 基盤한 建築 디자인 支援 시스템의 開發

The ability to recognize properties and characteristics unforeseen in the early stage of design, namely shape emergence, would be considered one of vital aspects of human visual perception in creative thinking. Through the emergence theory, which finds unexpected shapes from the designer’s intended drawings and sketches and then embodies the shapes, the creative human behavior in design has been explored. Depending on the designer’s intentions, this kind of emergent shapes comes up in various forms. This research is aimed at shedding light on the theory of Mutation Shape Emergence, a concept rooted in shape emergence. Based on Design model which proposed before, representation system is developed by using the concept of infinitive maximal lines and new concept of mutation operators. This paper shows examples of mutational emergent shape symbolizing a process by newly set rules. At last we will suggest a prototype of new CAAD system, MSDS(Mutational Shape Discovery System), based on the theory of Mutation Shape Emergence.
