The purpose of this study is to present Dasan Chung, Yak-yong`s physical thoughts which are included in his view of human being and the thoughts of education can be summarized as the following by the result of deductive studying. Chung, Yak-yong`s rhetorics of ruling others ourselves by cultivating ourselves stressed physical activities as practical and pragmatic learning through which the purposes pursued by current physical education. Chung, Yak-yong`s point of view about the content and method of physical education was based on practical and activity. By this view he thought that even the warrior should be wise as well as brave as an individual of learning and chivalry. Therefore in order to active this purpose he mentioned principle and the method of physical activity in detail. Chung, Yak-yong`s view about the relationship between the teacher and the student, it is required that the wise man who is respected by every Han can teach students. He believed that the effect of education can he accomplished by such a requirement. Especially he stressed true human education based upon the harmonious development of body and mind, not by physical training through activities.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze of common social function of Baek-Jung play. For meet the purpose, this study is examined about understanding of Baek-Jung play and analyzed the function of conflict settlement, the function of common social and the function of religion. The results are following like this. Baek-Jung play has been performed on 15th of July by lunar calendar and the object of this play is to console farmers after the hardest period of agriculture. There are Baek-Jung sacrifice, Baek-Jung market, Baek-Jung bathing in water and Baek-Jung play as a play that has been performed on Baek-Jung day. The Baek-Jung play is constituted of agriculture sacrifice, straw cutter riding, dancing and the last stage of an exorcism. The function of Baek-Jung play are resulted in 3 category. The first is said to conflict settlement between the ruling class and non-ruling class, the second is common unification within local people. The third is religion function. People who performed Baek-Jung play wish to have a year of plenty and safety of their family and local area, and it is also found in agricultural sacrifice.

The purpose of this study is to examine social position structure of the latter term in Chosun dynasty by analyzing Yang-Joo mask dance play. To meet the purpose, this study is also examined the characteristics of social structure, the change of social position and the background of culture of the latter term in Chosun dynasty. The results are following like this: Most of the mask dance play in the latter term in Chosun dynasty were developed and initiated within the boundary of the town district. And Yang-Joo where the Yang-Joo mask dance play was performed was a center of territory and also was given cultural benevolence which were mixed with north and south territory. Yang-Joo mask dance play was originally performed by lowest class leading by acrobatic tumbler and clown. Yang-Joo mask dance play is consisted of first, main and last. The main stage is consisted of 8 stage. It shows a destruction of social position and appearance of new power in each stage. Consequently the meaning of Yang-Joo mask dance play are stress settlement which has been accumulated by ruling class.

To analyze the meaning of leisure in Cho-seon traditional religion as a general life culture, that is shamanism must be examined. As a result the content and thought system of shamanism were investigated. Shamanism which was maintained ,by Moo-dang(shaman) is a phenomenon which was showed as a natural religion. There were a variety religion appearance, but Moo-dang was consist of the most strong religion system. As a point of functional view of traditional leisure, it suggested and gave the people who participated in religion ceremony the peace of soul, solution of fear for the future and satisfaction and happiness. As a ceremony action, exorcism of the shamanism has an important meaning in religion dimension like a sage ceremony. And the structure of exorcism really well showed a relationships between god and human. As a representative ceremony in religion, exorcism has a social function that enable to gather people, Therefore, exorcism plays its role as a ceremony, place people to meet and play ground where people wish their desires come true. But in traditional society the other side of exorcism, that is, play was considered as an important thing.

Jisin Bapgi is a Korean folk play performed on the 15th day of the first lunar month every year in which at first bearers of village`s flags march playing instruments and next specially appointed villagers as a leader of the ritual visit every houses to make sacrifices and wishes to the spirits of house and comfort the gods of the terrain(Jisin in Korean) as well as tread down the earth(Bapgi) to drive off evil spirits and invoke blessings of gods. Plays in Jisin Bapgi system can be regarded as transformations of Jisin Bapgi and have been classified those transformations into simple or combined criteria. A folly play in Jisin Bapgi system has many functions including driving off evil spirits, wishing abundance in forming and fishing to gods, invoking blessings for the family, social and financial cooperation that it is not too much to say that they stand in the center of the other folk plays of Korea. Also a folk play in Jisin Bapgi system which holds ritual nature has much to do with the geomantic discourse of the community. In addition, a folk play in Jisin Bapgi system has not only its own purpose on match, entertainment, and physical training but also its meaning of the desire for communal unity and wellbeing. This point of view cuts off the statements that the folk play remains on1y entertainment with its religious nature degenerated. The ritual folk play is still alive and will continue to be handed down from generation to generation.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the thought system of Korean people what implicated in Korean folk play. There are two system of thought in Korean folk play, one is to respect the forefathers and the other is to respect the nature including especially mountain and sky. We examined Korean traditional folk play which have been done during the four important festivals which included Jeong-wul(the first month of the year), Dan-o, Hangawui(thanksgiving), and Si-wul(t means the month of 10), and classified the two system of thought that implicated in Korean folk play.

This study was aim to make clear the mode of traditional leisure existence and to unite traditional leisure and life culture. To search for the basic direction for establishing new leisure culture we investigated Korean folk-play divided three dimension as passing-rite, annual cyclic rites and folk-play. An essential elements of leisure could be examined by sphere and function throughout Korean traditional culture. Traditional leisure was to include rite which separated from daily life, real acting and content process which came back to daily life and to include the function of society union, education, culture transmittance and solving the social problem.

The purpose of this study is to examine current questions through understanding post-modernism and to sound the direction of physical education in. post-modernism. Post-modernism is not only a movement which based on a certain theory system but also wide knowledge tendency which differ the concerns in western culture-art and every learning sphere. Therefore the characteristics of the post-modernism are uncertainty and relativity. Common things between the post-modernism and modernism are cutting off the line that connects with the past, ant-realistic, the vanguard positivism, anti-history, anti-politics and etc. Post-modernism is directing assembles whereas dismember the original rules, to be oppose, modernism is structuring with comparative simple elements which is to coincide with functionism. Physical education in post-modernism is to conclude the meaning and value of human movement and cognition which is including the matter of knowledge in human movement. Therefore it is necessary procedure to examine the cognition base and the characteristics about the physical education knowledge. Physical education can suggest the way of knowledge which is more accessed to the essence of human existence. Physical education is awakening education which means the self-experience knowledge through the human movement. The purpose of this study is to developing the sports program and sports activity realities for solving the juvenile problems. In order to achieve the purpose we selected the population of the juvenile in and around the area of a capital and middle and small cities and obtain the valid samples from it using stratified cluster random sampling. The questionnaire which is used for this research is consist of the total 14 questions and is processed in χ^2 test and descriptive analysis by computer using SAS package. The results of this research as follows: Firstly, sports activity realities of juvenile is partially different which it according to male and female, residence district in method of health maintain, sports involve level, sports activity accompany, sports activity place. Secondly, sports program and sports activity realities for solving the juvenile problems must be development according to juvenile`s desire, The contents of sports programs should be according to according to male and female, residence district, Special consideration should be given to administration time of sports program, administration frequency of sports program, administration sports event.

The purpose of this study was to examine and develop the mythological characteristics of the qualitative experience in gain better understanding of physical education and to expire the practical value of movement experience. The qualitative experience,which is considered as intrinsic meaning in physical education was distinguished from the instrumental and quantitative as extrinsic meaning. It is manifested as the qualities inherent in sprat itself. Within this experience one’s intention toward movement was directed to one’s conscious experience. It was deeply associated within how one 〃feel〃 movement through the movement experience. Therefore, it was regarded as the perceptual, kinesthetic, and aesthetic feeling in the movement experience. Upon acquiring certain sport skills, the qualitative experience is revealed as kinesthetic or aesthetic feeling. This has been called '"kinesthetic thinking" or actions which are deeply associated with one’s development of personality. These concepts were all regarded as the qualitative experience in physical education and sport. Die meaning of physical education can be found in such an experience itself and the educational significance in physical education should be regarded from this perspective. Eastern concepts and attitudes toward the moving self shaped an experience of wholeness. Movement was fundamental to the discoveries we made and essential to learning about ourselves, and the discovery of principles of movement through experience was fundamental to teaching in the field of physical education and required multidimensional thinking. A wholistic paradigm for physical education must embrace Eastern harmony forms which gave us new potentiality and new vision of describing our experience as well as new techniques which reveal universal principles of movement experience.

N/A The medical records of 210 pat,ients with pathologically proved adenocarcinoma of resected stomach at St. Benedict Hospital in Busan, over 6 years from January 1986 to Decernber 1991, were reviewed. The cumulat.ive 5 year survival rates for various categories were ob- t.ained by statistical life survival analysis program of personal cornputer(SPSS). The overall cumulative 5 year survival rate was 38.4%, and the cumurative survival rate for various categories were 39.0% in male, 37.0% in female for 5 year, 50.0% in below 30 years, 55.9% in 4th decade, 35.7% in 6th decade, 36.5% in 7th decade, 28.6% in above 70 years for 5 year and 35.7% in 5th decade for 3 year, 96.2% in TNM stage I, 50.0% in st,age II, 31.4% in stage III for 5 year, and 11.4% in stage 1V for 2 year, 37.9% in antrum, 64.1% in body for 5 year, 16.7% in cardia 8: fundus for 2 year, 96.4% in Tl, 51.0% in '12, 15.1% in T3 for 5 year and 7.9% in T4 for 4 year, 60.0% in Borrmann type I for 2 year, 1.7.2% in type II, 22.8% in type III for 5 year and 33.3% in type 1V for 2 year, 76.:3 % in .'UO, 31.2% in N2 for 5 year, 13.6% in N2 for 3 year and 11.5% in N3 for 4 year, 47.5% in moderately differentiated type, 11.2% in poorly differentiated type and 45.5% in signet ring ccll t.ype for 5 year. Multivariate analysis of variables were done by means of multiple linear regression(C.'ox-r< gression) analysis. By this multivariate analysis, TNM stage(p=0.0000), dept,h of invasion(p =0,0032), nodal status(p=0.0089) were stat.istically valuable as prognostic factors. Ot.hcr variables were somewhat valuable as prognostic fact.ors in univariate analysis but not in multivariate analysis(Cox-regression). (Korean J Gastroenterol 1994; 26: 424 431)
