Purpose: This study attempts to compare the degree of pain when different methods of blood sugar test are used between a DM patient group and a healthy group. Method: A sample is composed of 56 DM patients and 57 their family who are admitted in a ward of C university hospital in Gwangju. Data were collected from July, 2001 to December, 2001. The blood sugar tests are administered four different ways. The degree of pain is measured twice with a visual analog scale in a week interval. Result: The differences in the degree of pain according to methods of blood sugar test were not found between the DM patient group and the healthy group in both measures. The only use of a 27G needle method was shown to cause highest level of pain in comparison with the rest of methods in the first measure of the DM patient group and in both the measures of the healthy group. Conclusion: The study results indicate that the method using lanceter is more recommendable than method of using a 27G needle. Furthermore, the ice therapy and EMLA cream is likely to be more effective on the pain relief in the healthy group than the DM patient group.
호흡기계 표준화 환자를 이용한 간호대 학생의 임상수행능력평가 타당도와 신뢰도 검증

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test the validity of a modified clinical performance examination (CPX) for preclinical students in nursing. Method: 70 nursing students in their second semester of the junior year at C University participated in CPX. Scenarios and checklists were developed by our research team from September to October 2005. Six stations were organized. Evaluation included physical examination of a patient with lung cancer, education on usage of a metered dosage inhaler, and lobectomy postoperative care. Students were randomly assigned to a station. Result: There was a difference in the CPX scores according to stations. The agreement of scoring between trained faculty members and SPs was more than moderate (r=.647). The correlation between the CPX score and the average grade in the previous semester and between the CPX score and the average grade of a paper and pen test of the pulmonary system of adults was low (r=.276; r=.048). Conclusion: Traditional CPX is generally recommended, however, modified CPX is appropriate for preclinical students in the current Korean Nursing school setting if there are additional scoring systems to balance the testing level at each station.
만 5세 누리과정과 2015 개정 초등학교 1-2학년 교육과정의 공감교육 활동 분석

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the intergenerational education of kindergarten and elementary school empathies by analyzing the empathy related activities of 5-year-old Nuri course and first and second grade integrated curriculum in elementary school. In the teacher’s guidebook for 5-year-old Nuri course, the analysis criteria related to the empathy education were prepared. Second, the analysis criteria for extracting elements related to empathy education in educational activities for first and second grade in elementary school were prepared. Third, analysis work on empathy education activities in each curriculum was done. The results of this study were as following: First, there were 295 activities related to empathy education for the 5-year-old. It is necessary to present diverse and systematic empathy education activities in the whole educational activities. Second, the total number of empathy education activities in the curriculum for the first and second grade in the 2015 reformed school was 182. Third, the results of the analysis show that abundant empathy education activities are being carried out in the 5-year-old Nuri course. This study is meaningful in that it comparatively examines the empathy education activities of 5-year-old Nuri course and curriculum for the first and second grade in elementary school reformed in 2015 to help prepare basics of empathetic association between kindergarten and elementary school education curriculums. 본 연구는 교사용 지도서를 중심으로 만 5세 누리과정과 2015 개정 초등학교 12학년 교육과정의 공감교육 관련활동을 분석하고자 하였다. 분석 대상은 만 5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서와 2015 개정 초등 1-2학년 교사용 지도서이며 분석기준을 마련하고 공감교육활동을 분석하여 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 만 5세 누리과정 교육활동에서의 공감교육 관련활동 관련요소는 총 295개로 분석되었다. 둘째, 2015 개정 초등 12학년 교사용 지도서의 공감교육 활동은 총 182개로 나타났다. 셋째, 유치원과 초등학교 공감교육 활동을 비교한 결과 만 5세 누리과정 교육활동 속에서 보다 풍부한 공감교육 활동이 이루어지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 만 5세 누리과정과 2015 개정된 초등학교 12학년 교육과정의 공감교육 활동을 분석하여 살펴 본 연구로 유치원 교육과정과 초등학교 교육과정의 공감교육 연계를 위한 기초를 마련하는데 그 의의가 있다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the level of pain related to a blood sugar test. Specifically, the study attempts to compare the varying degree of pains when different types of blood sugar test are used. Method: A sample of 56 subjects is composed of DM patients admitted to a medical ward of C university hospital in Gwangju. Data were collected from July, 2001 to December, 2001. The blood sugar tests were administered in four different ways: (1) the use of 27G needle only. (2) the use of 27G needle followed by ice-packed treatment, (3) the use of 27G needle after EMLA cream application, and (4) the use of lancet. The degree of pain is measured with a visual analogue scale and performed twice. Result: in both measures, the use of 27G needle only method is shown to cause the highest level of pain in comparison with the rest of methods (F=4.01, p=.01; F=8.14, p=.00). However, the differences in pain between time in all methods were not found to be significant (t=-.85, p=.40; t=.80, p=.42; t=.31, p=.75; t=.19, p=.85). Conclusion: The study results indicate that the method using lanceter is more recommendable than the use of 27G needle only method. Further research is needed to support the current study result with the use of different measurement scales and to determine effective methods of blood sugar test to lower pain and compliance.
