        Endovascular Treatment of a Fusiform Aneurysm Involving a Premammillary Artery Originating from the Internal Carotid Artery: A Case Report

        The premammillary artery (PMA) is a branch of the posterior communicating artery (PCoA). While the PMA is known to originate from the PCoA as demonstrated by most anatomical studies, it originates directly from the internal carotid artery in approximately 1% of patients. Cerebral aneurysms associated with the PMA have rarely been reported. We report an extremely rare case of a ruptured PMA aneurysm that was managed using endovascular treatment.

        A me hod of producing analgesia of the limb by intravenous injection of local anesthetic and application of a tourniquet is described. We have used the method in 28 cases and obtained complete analgesia in 26; two cases failed. No side effects were noted. According to published reports, this method of producing local analgesia is highly efficacious-complete analgesia being obtained in over 90% of cases-and, with correct technique and reasonable dosage, few and usually harmless side effects occur. Intravenous regional analgesia is also suitable for ambulant use in surgical work and for patients who do not tolerate general anesthesia well. Because of the simple technique the method can be used by the inexperienced anesthetist. It is important to be prepared to treat any side effects that may occur.

      • Propofol(Diprivan^R)과 thiopentone이 안압에 미치는 영향

        The effects of Propofol and thiopentone on intraocular pressure and cardiovascular system was evaluated during induction of anesthesia in twenty patients. All patients were devided into two groups as follows: Group Ⅰ(n=10): thiopentone 5mg/kg was administered intravenously for induction of anesthesia. Group Ⅱ(n=10): propofol 2mg/kg was administered intravenously for induction of anesthesia. The changes of systolic and diastolic blood pressure, heart rate and intracocular pressure were measured before induction, after induction and at 1 min. and 3 min. after intubation in all groups. Succinlycholine 1-1.5mg/kg was administered intravenously for endotracheal intubation. The results were as follows: 1. There were no significant difference in the effects of propofol and thiopentone on cardiovascular system and intraocular pressure. 2. There were significant increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and heart rate after intubation in both groups, but lesser degree of increase in propofol group than thiopentone group. 3. Induction of anesthesia with propofol or thiopentone was associated with a significant decrease in intraocular pressure. From the above results, propofol can be used as effectively as thiopentone for anesthesia in patients who undergo opthalmic surgery.

        폴리올레핀계 단성분 부직포 및 이성분 시스-코어 복합부직포의 열융착 거동에 관한 연구

        In this study, we have investigated the difference between the thermal bonding behaviors of mono-component and sheath-core nonwoven fabrics used as hot-melt adhesives. The difference between the manufacturing processes and the melting points of the nonwoven fabrics lead to a difference in their thermal bonding behavior. This was confirmed through image analysis by observing the change in the thermal shrinkage and the pore size ratio with temperature. The difference in the behavior of the fibers is also explained by dynamic mechanical analysis. The analysis of the thermal bonding mechanism of the hot-melt nonwoven fabrics can be used as a supporting data for their manufacturing process in order to improve the performance of the hot-melt adhesives and the design adhesion strength.

        콘크리트 교량 방호벽의 균열원인 및 패턴 분석에 대한 연구

        콘크리트 방호벽 및 중앙분리대는 교량의 부속시설이지만, 슬립폼 시공과 넓은 비표면적으로 인해 초기재령 균열이 발생하기 쉽다. 본연구에서는 대형 교량의 방호벽과 중앙분리대 콘크리트의 외관조사 및 비파괴실험을 수행하여 균열의 원인과 발생 균열의 패턴을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 시공기간을 고려하여, 건조수축, 수화열 해석이 수행되었으며, 현장의 환경조건을 고려하여 소성수축 특성을 평가하였다. 평가결과 대상구조물의 균열 원인은 철근위치에 따른 소성침하균열, 소성수축 및 건조수축에 의한 복부균열, 재료분리에 따른 상부균열로 추정할 수 있었다. 또한 균열원인과 발생 패턴을 도식화하였으며, 시공 및 재료분야에서 균열제어대책을 제안하였다. 해상위 교량에 설치하는중앙분리대 및 방호벽 콘크리트는 환경조건 (풍속, 온도, 습도)에 매우 민감하여 초기재령균열이 쉽게 발생하므로 재료선택 및 시공방법에신중을 기해야 한다. Concrete guide rail and median barrier are an attached RC member, however they are vulnerable to cracking due to slip formconstruction and large surface of member. In this study, causes and pattern of cracking are analyzed through assessment and NDT(Non-Destructive Technique) evaluation for concrete guide rail and median barrier on highway structure. For this work, analysis ondrying shrinkage and hydration heat are performed considering installation period, and plastic shrinkage is also analyzedconsidering their environmental conditions. From the evaluation, plastic settlement around steel location, drying/ plastic shrinkage,and aggregate segregation are inferred to be the main causes of cracking in the structures. The crack causes and patterns areschematized and techniques of crack-control are suggested. Furthermore concrete guide rail/ median barrier in the bridge on the seaare vulnerable to cracking at early age so that special attentions should be paid at the stages of material selection and construction.

      • 운동선수의 주의집중력에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to find out how various factors below-listed facts influence on the attention of the athletes. The traits of the athletes-trait are; 1. Sex of player. 2. School of player. 3. The degree of physical skill of player. The subjects randomly chosen were 1506 athletes(M;753, F;753), whose careers were at least five years. The qestionnaire made by Robert M. Nideffer' Test of Attentional Interpersonal Style(TAIS) Korean edition was used for this study. TAIS is composed of six items: broad-external(BET), external- overload(OET), broad-internal(BIT), internal-overload(OIT), narrow- effective focus(NAR), and errors of underinclusion(RED). The raw data was drawn from the T-sccre based on the mean and standard deviation of six sectors. The response-reliability was tested by reliability of SPSSx. 3-way ANOVA was used to get mean difference among three groups and two groups, divided by 3 factors. The conclusion is : 1. In the broad-external(BET) sector, first, male group, and normal and excellent skill groups turned out to be the highest scorer. second, in male group, Normal skill group and college groups, and excellent skill group and high school group, in female group, were the highest. third, male-high school-normal group was found to be the highest 2. In the external-overload(OET) sector, first, female group, and normal skill group were the lowest scorer. second, relatively low scorers are: Normal skill group, substitute skill group and excellent skill group in male group, and normal skill group, excellent skill group and substitute skill group in female group. third, female-college-substitute skill group was the lowest. 3. In the broad-interna1(BIT) sector, first, male group, college group, and normal skill group were the highest scorer. second, in male group, substitute skill group, in female group, excellent skill groups, in high school group, excellent skill group, and normal skill group, in college group, were the highest. third, male-high school-excellent skill group was the highest. 4. In the internal~overload(OIT) sector, first, high school group was to be the low than other group; second, female-college-substitute skill group was lower than each other groups. 5. In the narrow-effective focus(NAR) sector, first, excellent and normal skill groups are to be the high than each other group; second, in male group, normal skill group, in female group, excellent skill group, in high school group, normal skill group, and excellent skill group, in college group, were the higher scorer than other groups. 6. In the errors of underinclusion(RED) sector, first, high school group, and substitute and excellent skill groups were the lowest; second, female-college-substitute skill group was the lowest.

        부순모래를 사용한 고강도콘크리트의 특성 및 레미콘 B/P 적용에 관한 연구

        Generally, the strength of concrete depends on factors of materials, mix proportions, compaction, manufacturing methods and curing and so on. And recently, it has increased the using of crushed sand for concrete due to the exhaustion of good natural aggregate. In case of Korea, in 2004, the using ratio of crushed sand occupies about 28% of whole fine aggregate.This is an experimental study to compare and analyze the influence of W/B ratio and replacement ratio of crushed sand on the fluidity and compressive strength of high strength concrete. For this purpose, the mix proportions of concrete according to the W/B (31.5, 27.5, 23.5%) and replacement ratio of crushed sand (0, 20, 40%) was selected. And then air content, slump-flow, O-lot, compressive strength test were performed.
