Software quality is a primary concern in software development efforts. The traditional methods of assessing software quality are software testing. A variety of testing techniques has been studied for many years, but testing a large software program is difficult and time consuming operation. In a typical programming project, over 50% of the total cost are expended in testing. In this paper we describe the testing techniques. All the testing methods are not applicable to every software program. We find an effective software testing technique[Index terms] software quality, software test.

A study on the status of death in rural area was conducted during the period from July '75 to August '75. 1,225 families and 8,067 population (4,124 male, 3,943 female) had been lived and 149 events of death since 5 years before study were occurred in survey area, Nammyon, Hwasoongun, Chonnam. The summarized results were as follows: 1. Quinquennial death rate was 3.7 (5.2 for male, 2.1 for female). 2. In respect of age group, the highest group was over 70 years old group (age at death, 30.8% of total death). High age groups (over 50 years old) occupied 71.1% of total death and death rate in these groups were higher in male than female. Child death (0-4 years old) occupied 7.4% of total death and infant death rate was higher in female than male. 3. Duration of sickness before die was highest in 1 to 12 months (39.6%) 4. The most frequent cause of death was disease of digestive system (12.1%). Other important causes were disease of circulatory system (10.7%), disease of respiratory system (9.4%) and infectious and parasitic disease (4.7%). Disease of digestive system was the most frequent cause of death in male (14.0%) and disease of respiratory system was the most frequent cause in female (9.5%).

The interannual variation of surface ocean currents can be as large as seasonal variation in the Japan/East Sea (JES). To identify the major factors that cause such interannual variability of surface ocean circulation in the JES, surface circulation was simulated from 1998 to 2009 using a three-dimensional model. Contributions of atmospheric forcing (ATM), open boundary data (OBC), and intrinsic variability (ITV) of the surface flow in the JES on the interannual variability of surface ocean circulation were separately examined using numerical simulations. Variability in surface circulation was quantified in terms of variance in sea surface height, 100-m depth water temperature, and surface currents. ITV was found to be the dominant factor that induced interannual variabilities of surface circulation, the main path of the East Korea Warm Current (EKWC), and surface kinetic energy on a time scale of 2?4 years. OBC and ATM were secondary factors contributing to the interannual variation of surface circulation. Interannual variation of ATM changed the separation latitude of EKWC and increased the variability of surface circulation in the Ulleung Basin. Interannual variation of OBC enhanced low-frequency changes in surface circulation and eddies in the Yamato Basin. It also modulated basin-wide uniform oscillations of sea level. This study suggests that precise estimation of initial conditions using data assimilation is essential for long-term prediction of surface circulation in the JES.

In this paper we study the Minimum Edge Addition Problem(MEAP) to decrease the diameter of a graph. EAP can be used for improving the serviceability of telecommunication networks with a minimum investment. MEAP is an NP-hard optimization problem. We present two mathematical programming models : One is a multi-commodity flow formulation and the other is a path partition formulation. We propose a branch-and-price algorithm to solve the path partition formulation to the optimality. We develop a polynomial time column generation sub-routine conserving the mathematical structure of a sub problem for the path partition formulation. Computational experiments show that the path partition formulation is better than the multi-commodity flow formulation. The branch-and-price algorithm can find the optimal solutions for the immediate size graphs within reasonable time.

Plasma cell leukemia is a rarely occurring plasma cell disease which is classified to primary plasma cell leukemia and secondary plasma cell leukemia. The clinical manifestations and pathological features are similar to acute leukemia and the prognosis is poor with median survival rate of 4-6 months after diagnosis. When diagnosing plasma cell leukemia, it is often difficult to differentiate plasma cell leukemia from chronic lymphoid leukemia due to the similar cellular morphology of lymphocytes and plasma cells. We report a case of plasma cell leukemia with unusual morphological feature diagnosed by a cell surface marker study. A 81 year old man was presented with renal failure, anemia, thrombocytopenia and atypical lymphoid leukocytosis. Bone marrow examination and peripheral blood smear revealed a large number of pleomorphic cells with some grooving nuclei. Immunophenotype feature of these cells were suggestive of plasma cell origin with positivity for CD38. Furthermore an urine & serum protein electrophoresis showed monoclonal gammopathy of lambda light chain type. The disease initially responded to melphalan and prednisolone, but eventually relapsed.
