Old age is the last periods of life, that recognize ``Death`` more than any hierarchy. Therefore, It``s an approach way in which important and fundamental to understand of age-old. Also, The issue is important to the ``death`` because it is bound up in the life in old age. we can find that presentation and study of old age novel became active. It shows that Life in old age can not look only superficially with a location in a course our society has entered the aging society. So I was studied on the consciousness of death that is revealed in old age novel of Choe il-nam. A story about the death has been unfolding in his novel The very slow time Focusing on 「godot cannot come」, 「The very slow time」, 「a photograph」, which are recorded this collection, I looked into the consciousness of the old age by approaching the their problems. While looking into several problem by dividing - ``Special your death``, ``Their deaths that have been others``, ``Independent my death`` studied a consciousness of death overall Death in the life of a old-aged might also appear as day-to-day. Among the recollections of conversations and the elderly, death is played. In this way, the life of old-aged life is to meet with death on a daily basis. Therefore, the writer refer to the life of old-aged of a live across death. Will be facing the death frequently, Although it has a pressure, they stand approaching aggressively to death, being well-known to conversation and restored to Memory. So they prepare for death. In reality of life and death of old age become others, it is valuable that we study the matter of the death of old age. because we can improve the quality of death, after all, we can end the life of dignity. it was a symbol of life in the old age to have been neglect and feel lonely in the past. but, it is the appearance of an elderly mature by preparing a death now, it``s to live in a positive attitude the rest of their life.
