Performance of PEMFC is affected by many factors such as that of MEA, configuration of flow field, operating conditions, humidification, cooling and so on. In this study, in order to improve the performance of fuel cell, a small area fuel cell stack was made and its performance was tested under various operating conditions. Stack consists of 3 single PEM fuel cells. Channel is serpentine type and the active area of the electrode is 50cm2. The test results show that the peak power is 60W at 70℃ of stack temperature with humidification condition.

Polymer membrane needs to maintain appropriate moisture. Insufficient moisture causes low conduction of hydrogen ion because of increased contact resistance between electrode and membrane by shrinking membrane, and abundant moisture decreases fuel cell performance as difficulty of diffusion reacting gas. Therefore, water controlling system is very consequential for the polymer membrane fuel cell.If hollow fiber membrane humidification is used between fuel and air lines, it is possible to supply heat to fuel and air by using thermal exchanger. It can supply appropriate humidity depending on operating temperature, and can recover heat from exhaust gas which contains water vapor and air. Because of simple structure of humidification system, this system can be easily applied in the PEMFC and cut down cost.

In recent years, a major challenge facing mankind is to find solutions of global warming and increasing of energy consumption. PEM fuel cell is a solution to the mounting energy demand for environmentally friendly, high efficient, and clean energy sources. Performance of PEM fuel cell is affected by many factors such as of MEA, configuration of flow field, operation conditions, humidification, cooling and so on.<br/> In this study in order to improve the performance of fuel cell, a small area PEM fuel cell was made and its performance was tested under various operating conditions. Channel is serpentine type, the active area of the electrode is 50㎠ and membrane is Nafion 112. Single fuel cell was tested under various depth of flow channel and achieved simulation using commercial program at the same time.

A series of potent tricyclic derivatives with a non-aromatic amide as potent PARP-1 inhibitors were successfully synthesized and their PARP-1 inhibitory activity was evaluated. Among the derivatives, 2-(1-propylpiperidin-4-yloxy)-7,8,9,10-tetrahydrophenanthridin-6(5H)-one 23c displayed potent activity in a PARP-1 enzymatic assay and cell-based assay (IC_50 = 0.142 μM, ED_50 = 0.90 μM) with good water solubility. Further, molecular modeling studies confirmed the obtained biological results
Lifting Lug by the Change of form Using Multivariate Functions: An Optimal Design Study

In this paper, we proposed an optimal design for determining the shape of a lifting lug freely by applying a multivariate function to the D-type lug, which is commonly used in shipyards. We derived the optimal aspect ratio of the lug through structural analysis and analyzed the safety and behavior of the lug aspect ratio. As a result, two types of final candidates, both lighter than the existing lug weight, were suitable for the ratio. They were found to have the greatest force at an angle of 45 degrees when a load of 100 tons was imposed. When the horizontal and vertical feature ratio of the lug was 1:3, it showed excellent results in terms of safety rates while maintaining weight reduction and functional aspects.
