        단일모드 광섬유를 이용한 비편광 광섬유 자이로스코프의 잡음특성

        일반 통신용 단일모드 광섬유를 회전 감지용 광섬유로 사용하는 비편광 광섬유 자이로스코프를 제작하고 특성을 측정하였다. 이 자이로스코프의 잡음특성을 계산하여 예측하고, 신호대 잡음비가 최대가 되는 적정 변조진폭 둥의 최적 동작조건을 추출하였다. 자이로의 불규칙잡음계수를 여러 위상차 변조진폭에 대하여 측정한 결과, 위상차 변조진폭이 2.4 rad인 경우에 0.7$\times$$10^{-3}$ deg/√hr의 작은 불규칙잡음계수를 얻을 수 있었으며, 변조진폭에 따른 잡음특성의 경향이 계산에 의한 예측치와 거의 일치하였다. We have constructed and characterized a depolarized fiber-optic gyroscope that uses a length of single-mode fiber as a sensing loop fiber. We have also calculated the noise characteristics of the gyroscope and have found an optimum phase modulation depth that gives the highest signal-to-noise ratio in the gyroscope. The random walk coefficient as small as 0.7$\times$10$^{-3}$ deg/√hr was obtained at the modulation depth of around 2.4 rad. The random walk coefficients measured at various modulation depths were found to be in reasonable agreement with the calculation.

        Ni-Al2O3 복합코팅의 마이크로 경도에 대한 공정변수의 영향

        In this study, nanoscale Al2O3 ceramic particles were used due its exceptionally high hardness characteristics, chemical stability, and wear resistance properties. These nanoparticles will be used to investigate the optimal process conditions for the electro co-deposition of the Ni-Al2O3 composite coatings. A Watts bath electrolytic solution of a controlled composition along with a fixed agitation speed was used for this study. Whereas the current density, the pH value, temperature and concentration of the nano Al2O3 particles of the electrolyte were designated as the manipulative variables. The experimental design method was based on the orthogonal array to find the optimum processing parameters for the electro co-deposition of Ni-Al2O3 composite coatings. The result of confirmation experimental based on the optimal processing condition through the analysis of variance ; EDX analysis found that the ratio of alumina increased to 8.65 wt.% and subsequently the overall hardness increased to 983 Hv. Specially, alumina were evenly distributed on Nickel matrix and particles were embedded more firmly and finely in Nickel matrix.

        장기간 상용한 Cr-Mo 강의 피로강도향상 방법에 관한 연구

        For the purpose of healing the on pert, CO₂ laser beam was irradiated with different irradiation condition(power, diameter, velocity and beam type) to find out optimum irradiation condition. The test series of hardness, residual stress measurement, and fatigue were carried out after the irradiation. Experimental results show that micro-hardness values on the surface of the irradiated specimens were approximately 2.5 times higher than those of un-irradiated ones. Fatigue tests show that the fatigue life was improved by the compressive residual stress after laser beam irradiation. However, some specimens with different conditions show the shorter fatigue life. It means that laser beam irradiation with optimum irradiation condition and optimum absorb energy, Q can improve the fatigue strength.

        3T3-L1 지방세포에서 진귤 잎 유래 polymethoxyflavones 다량 함유 분획물(PRF)의 항지방생성 및 지방분해 효과

        Polymethoxyflavones (PMFs)는 주로 감귤류에서 발견되는 플라보노이드로 다양한 생리활성을 나타낸다고 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 제주재래귤인 진귤(Citrus sunki Hort. ex Tanaka)에서 PMFs를 다량 함유하는 분획물(PMFs-rich fraction, PRF)을 획득하는 방법을 확립하여 3T3-L1 세포에서 지방대사에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. PRF는 3T3-L1 전구지방세포의 지방생성(lipogenesis)을 농도 의존적으로 억제하였다. PRF는 peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ)와 CCAAT/enhancer binding protein α (CEBPα) 발현을 억제함으로써 fatty acid synthase (FAS), adipocyte fatty-acid-binding protein 2 (aP2)의 발현을 억제하여 지방생성을 억제함을 확인할 수 있었다. 성숙한 3T3-L1 지방세포에 PRF를 처리하면, cAMP 의존성 protein kinase A (PKA)/sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (HSL)의 활성화가 일어나 지방분해(lipogenesis)는 촉진됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 PRF는 AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK)/acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC)의 인산화를 증가시켜 지방산화를 촉진할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이 연구결과는 진귤 잎 유래 PRF는 3T3-L1는 전구지방세포의 분화를 억제하고 성숙한 지방세포에서 지방분해 및 지방산 산화를 촉진하는 활성을 나타내어 항비만 소재로서의 활용가능성을 제시하였다.

        Accurate measurements of crack extension are important in subcritical crack growth studies because rates of crack extension characterized in laboratory specimens are used to predict the cracking behavior of structures in the field.Electrical potential is one of the methods by which crack extensition during a test can be monitored continuously.In this study, various fatigue crack length measurement methods were reviewed and direct current potential drop (DCPD) system was adopted for the present investigation. With DCPD method, direct measurement method using traveling microscope, and compliance method using COD gauges are adopted simultaneously during the tests.A similarity is shown among the fatigue crack lengths measured from each method.Finally the correlative curves for the fatigue crack growth rate versus stress intensity factor range were made with the measurement results of crack length from those three different methods.

        체외순환시 정맥마취제가 전신혈관저항에 미치는 영향

        We have studied the effect of thiopental sodium, propofol, midazolam and ketamine on systemic vascular resistance(SVR) during cardiopulmonary bypass with constant pump flow in 20 patients undergoing elective open heart surgery. SVR decreased about 13(±3.42)% of control values after thiopental sodium 4 mg/kg, about 10 (±5.30)% of control after propofol 2 mg/kg and about 8(±3.72)% of control after midazolam 0.2 mg/kg; it returned to control values about 2 min 30 sec(±1 min 20 sec) after administration of thiopental sodium and about 4 min 30 sec(±2 min 15 sec) after administration of propofol. It remained under control values after 10 min after administration of midazolam. Ketamine showed no significant changes on SVR. Analysis of variance showed that there were no significant differences in the changes in SVR between the groups. Change of SVR after administration of thiopental sodium did not have statistical significance(P$lt;0.05).

      • 배관의 축방향 균열에 대한 균열진전 특성에 관한 연구

        It is well known that pipelines have the highest capacity and are the safest and least environmentally disruptive form of transporting oil and gas. However, pipeline damage caused by both internal and external corrosion is a major concern threatening the reliability of oil and gas transportation and the soundness of the pipeline structure. In this study, we estimate the allowable damage by comparing the ASTM B31G code to a modified theory considering diverse detailed corrosive forms. The ASTM B31G code has been developed as the evaluation method for reliability and incident prevention of damaged pipelines based on the amount of loss due to corrosion and the yield strength of materials. Furthermore, we suggest a method for estimating the expected life span of used pipelines by utilizing the reliability method based on major variables such as the depth and length of damage and the corrosion rate affecting the life expectancy of the pipelines.
