大學生의 自我實現에 관한 硏究 : 1980年度 新入生을 中心으로 Actualization of Freshmen in Duk Sung Women's College

This study attemped to identify and measure self-actualization change among the liberal arts branch, the natural science branch and the arts branch of freshmen in Duk Sung Women's College. The study population consisted of 445 students, 219 in the liberal arts, 137 in natural science and 89 in the arts branch students, The instrument used was the Personal Orientation Inventory(POI) developed by Shostrom. It consists of 130 two - choice comparative value and behavior judgements which are thought to be of importance in the development of self - actualization. Analysis of the main findings were as follow. 1)Arts branch students scored highest and liberal arts branch students lowest in the Time Competence Scale. 2)In the Support Scale, Natural science branch students rated highest as Inner - Directed. 3)Natural science branch students scored highest in the self - Actualizing Value Scale. 4)Although there was a slightly lower score for arts branch students in the Existentiality Scale, There was no significant difference between natural science and liberal arts branch students. 5)There were no significant differences among branches on the Feeling Reactivity Scale. 6)There was a significantly higher score for natural science students in Spontaneity Scale. 7)Natural science branch students scored highest and arts branch students lowest in the Self - Regard Scales. 8)Liberal arts branch students obtained highest scores over natural science and arts branch students on the Self - Acceptance Scale. 9)Natural Science branch students scored highest in the Nature of Man Scale. 10)Liberal-arts branch students rated highest on the Capacity for Intimate Contact Scale. In general, there were 78.7 percentage of self - actualized students among freshman in Duk Sung Women's College and 21.3 percentage students needed school counseling for their self - actualization.

It was when, on the reverse side of the prevalence of various literary thoughts cultured by Japan (Japanese writings), our sijo was suffering from conflicts between supporters saying Ours should be fostered by us and opponents saying It is an obsolete form from old ages to be thrown away. The historical situation of literature inevitably influenced Lim Hwa's poems during the period from 1926 to 1929 and it provided the ground for approaching his poems from the viewpoint of sijo aesthetics. Contemporary saseol sijo writers believe that 'they are responsible for projecting today's changing thoughts and perceptions through the reproduction of old things with minimal formative devices in the sense of inheriting literary heritages in the past creatively.' By examining from the aesthetics of saseol sijo a number of Lim Hwa's poems written during the period of dispute over the revival of sijo, we may find a strategy to renew the passive aspect that 'saseol sijo destroys the form of ordinary sijo and threatens the existence of sijo.' In sijo, 'si' means time, different from 'si' denoting poems, but when we read sijo with understanding, we find that it is the most advanced 'contemporary poem' because it is poetry of time. Nevertheless, concerning the title of this paper suggesting that Lim Hwa's poems will be examined from the viewpoint of sijo aesthetics, one may point out how to have mixed the theory of poetry without separating into the theory of sijo. However, this problem will be solved without difficulty if approached from the view that sijo is not an exotic genre arising from the external world but is obviously our poem.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate agreement-feature checking and English root infinitives in child language from the perspective of Minimalist Program. To explain this apparent derivation from the target adult gram- mar, researchers have elaborated two main models. One is the Tense Omission Model and the other is the Truncation Model. Wexler (1994) proposes in the former that an optional infinitive clause arises when the child leaves the tense feature underspecified in a given clausal represen- tation. Rizzi (1993/1994) proposes in the latter that the Root Infinitive reduces structures that result from the option of truncating structures at different levels of the clausal architecture. A further expectation would be that nominative Case is not assigned properly if AgrP is not yet projected. In the Minimalist Program, T inherits Agree-feature from C, but root infinitive clauses don`t have TP. Therefore, in children`s speech, functional projections are truncated below CP. The phenomena of early language acquisition reflects the process of acquiring functional categories as children grow.
