1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to contribute establishing revitalization policy by finding the changes of industry and spatial structural paradigm of metropolitan area and analyzing the industrial structure of old central business district(here after CBD) of Seoul and reputation changes in metroplitan area from middle 1990's to recentness. (2) RESEARCH METHOD This study was fulfilled by comparing the increase and decrease of numbers of major industries and their employees in old Central Business District, here after CBD, of Seoul during1995 to 2005 with other 66 cities, counties and districts through metropolitan area and nationwide range. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS As a result, the issue of creating employment in CBD of Seoul is seriously needed since the employment of retail, wholesale, manufacturing, financing and insurance industries has been remarkably reduced and new emerging industries such as service industry has extended in outer bound of CBD such as river south district of Seoul, city of Suwon and new city area. In the meanwhile, in spite of overall employ ment decrease, wholesale, financing, insurance and business services, administration industries are still specialized in old CBD of Seoul. 2. RESULTS To revitalize old CBD of Seoul. manage and support to protect draining of specialized industries of CBD's core managing function and induce them to return back to old CBD of Seoul. In addition, establish and execute the policies of reinforcing overall CBD's function such as physical environmental improvement, various political support strengthening, and lightening restrictions of site to raise the preferences of settlement of the newly growing industry such as business service industry and so on. 3. Contact Light-emitting Diodes Based on Vertical ZnO Nanorods
파닌,조학동,이상욱,강태원 한국물리학회 2014 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.64 No.10
We report vertical contact light-emitting diodes (VCLEDs), that are based on heterojunctionsformed by using the point contacts of n-ZnO nanorods (NRs) to the p-type semiconductor substrateand that are fabricated using a new approach to the formation of LEDs (Appl. Phys. Lett. 98,093110 (2011)). A p-type GaN film grown on a sapphire substrate was used to form n-ZnO NRs/p-GaN VCLEDs on a large area of about 4 cm2. The VCLEDs emitted a pure blue electroluminescencewith high efficiency. Electroluminescence at 470 nm, which is visible to the naked eye, started atsmall current of about 50 μA and is attributed to the good optical properties of the structurallyperfectheterojunctions in the point contacts. The VCLED configuration allows the creation ofZnO/p-GaN nano-LEDs of high density and high-quality with a greatly reduced concentration ofnonradiative defects in the active regions. The VCLEDs showed the high brightness of light requiredfor active matrix displays and general solid-state lighting.
Study of the Thermal Conductivity of ZnO Nanowires/PMMA Composites
쿠산,율다세프,조학동,강태원,Shahzoda Rakhimova,Tursunboy Akhmedov 한국물리학회 2012 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.60 No.10
From thermal conductivity measurements on ZnO nanowires (NWs)/poly(methyl methacrylate) PMMA composites, the thermal conductivities of the ZnO nanowires were determined. The thermal conductivity of a ZnO NW decreases considerably with decreasing nanowire diameter, and for a ZnO nanowire with a diameter of 250 nm, the thermal conductivity at room temperature is approximately two times lower than that of bulk ZnO at the same temperature. The results of this study show that the thermal conductivity of a ZnO NW is mainly determined by increased phonon-surface boundary scattering. These results could be useful for the design of ZnO-nanowire-based devices.
