치유상담운동이 개인의 삶에 끼친 영향에 관한 질적 연구: “자신의 삶으로 치유”하는 목회(기독교)상담자 정태기의 영향을 중심으로

이 연구는 정태기의 치유상담과 그가 설립한 기관이 펼친 치유상담교육과 운동이 개인에게 어떤 영향을 끼쳤는지를 질적 조사 연구방법을 이용하여 조사하고 분석한 연구 논문이다. 정태기의 강의, 설교, 상담, 치유운동을 하나의 보편적 현상으로 이해하고 규정할 수 있지만, 개인적이며 특수하고 무엇보다도 깊이가 있는 주관적 경험들을 가장 잘 담아내기 위해서는 질적 연구방법이 적합하다고 판단되었다. 질적 연구방법은 현상에 관한 자료로부터 의미를 찾는 방법으로서, 통제되지 않는 상황에서 그 현상을 경험한 이들의 경험만으로 의미를 찾아내는 연구방법이다. 또한 주요 현상에 초점을 두고 연구 대상이 가지고 있는 관점에 중점을 두어 연구 대상의 경험이 갖는 개인적 의미를 강조하기도 한다. 질적 연구를 통해 자신의 경험이 담고 있는 더 심오한 의미를 발견하여, 이전보다 더 넓은 관점으로 경험을 볼 수 있게 되고 또 다른 의미를 찾아가도록 하는 방법이기도 하다. 질적 조사 연구 중에서도 근거이론을 사용하여 자료를 분석하고 이론을 도출해 냈는데, 연구방법을 통해서도 치유운동의 개인적인 경험들을 존중하며 다룰 방법이라고 여겨졌기 때문이다. 이 연구에서 다루고자 하는 연구문제는“치유상담운동에서 개인은 어떤 영향을 받았는가?”이다. 또한 하위 연구문제는 치유상담 운동에 의한 내면적 촉진, 그리고 그로 인한 결과들과 그 과정의 연관성에 관한 것이다. This research examines Tai Ki Chung`s healing and counseling movement. Tai Ki Chung is a pastoral counselor and scholar who has greatly influenced pastoral counseling ministries in local churches. He refers to his way of doing pastoral counseling as `healing (focused) counseling.` He has dedicated himself in this movement through founding an institute and a graduate school, as well as developing a group therapy program. This research focuses on how his movement, along with educational counseling through institutions and programs, has influenced individuals in experiencing growth and healing. This research uses the qualitative methodology of grounded theory. The grounded theory approach best defines and represents what healing (focused) counseling is, by giving voice to those who have experienced it themselves. They are interviewed and the data is analyzed and discussed. The findings of this research include Tai Ki Chung`s methodology of healing (focused) counseling: therapists` use of their own healing story as a tool. This invokes and invites the listeners to be in touch with their own experiences and stories. A safe psychological zone is provided for them to explore the specific content and emotions regarding each experience. This process enables them to make connections with their current state of being.

여성주의 상담자와 타(他)젠더 내담자의 만남: 폭력과 트라우마 사례를 중심으로

여성주의 상담은 주로 여성들의 삶과 여성들이 처한 사회문화적 구조에 관심을 갖고 그로 인해 여성의 삶이 어떤 영향을 받았는지를 탐색하고 인식하는 학문의 영역이자 상담 방법이다. 여성주의는 단지 차별받는 여성을 염두에 둔것이 아니라 모든 차별과 억압을 인식하며 구조적 억압이 개인에게 미치는 영향을 연구한 것이기에 여성이 아닌 타(他)젠더에게도 적용될 수 있는 상담이론과 방법이다. 이에 이 논문에서는 과연 여성주의 상담이 타젠더와의 상담에서도 젠더에 상관없이 실제적으로 적용되었을 때 유용한지에 대한 연구 질문에 답하고자 하며, 여성주의 상담이 개인의 문제를 구조적인 관점과 균형 맞춰 이해하는데 효율적이므로 여성주의 상담을 주요 상담이론과 통합적으로 적용해 문제를 이해했을 때 깊은 내담자 통찰이 가능하다고 주장한다. 이를 위해 여성주의의 흐름, 여성주의 목회상담의 발전, 여성주의 상담의 원리, 여성주의 상담이론과 방법을 다른 젠더에 적용해본 사례를 들어 설명할 것이다. 사례는 군대에서 심한 폭력을 당해 그 트라우마로 힘들어 하는 20대 후반의 청년과 트렌스젠더인 성소수자의 이야기이다. Feminist counseling is focused on women`s lives and the sociocultural context women are situated in. It is an academic field and also a therapy method that is interested in how women are affected systematically. Feminist counseling is not only about women`s discrimination or systematic change but also about being aware of all types of discrimination and oppression that all people are situated in. It takes into account how systematic oppression affects an individual; therefore, feminist counseling is able not only to work with women but with other genders as well. Throughout this research, the question of whether feminist counseling is effective in counseling men and transgender individuals, is asked. It also argues that since feminist counseling focuses on analyzing the sociocultural, systematic, and political effects on each individual, it should be utilized more in therapy to bring more insight on diverse issues that clients face in their everyday lives. For these purposes, this research outlines the feminist counseling movement and development, followed by an elaboration of feminist pastoral theology. A feminist counseling method of empowerment through gender analysis and narratives will be applied to two cases of violence and trauma. Although there are various concepts and therapeutic techniques in feminist counseling, in dealing with actual cases, this research focuses on gender role analysis and empowerment utilizing narratives.

목회상담, 그 개혁의 목소리: Bonnie Miller-McLemore의“살아있는 인간망”으로 성찰한 한국목회상담의 역할

이 논문은 지금 이 시대에 목회상담을 한다는 것은 무엇일까를 고민하는 논문이다. 한국목회상담협회와 한국기독교상담심리학회가 공동주최한 2017년도 학술대회에서 기조 강연 강사로 나선 바니 밀러-맥니모어(Bonnie J. Miller-McLemore)는“살아있는 인간망”으로 한국목회상담의 역할을 성찰하며,“ 살아있는 인간망”이라는 목회신학패러다임을 적용하고 한국교회와 사회를 조망하여 이에 목회상담은 어떤 목소리로 응답할 것인지를 연구 발표하였다. 밀러-맥니모어의“살아있는 인간망”이 우리 목회상담과 목회상담이 뿌리내리고 있는 교회와 사회에 던지는 메시지는 무엇인지, 어떤 관점을 제공하는지 고찰해봐야 한다. 한국의 목회상담은 매우 개인 중심적으로 펼쳐지고 있다. 밀러-맥니모어는 개인 중심의 상담에서 벗어나 개인이 처한 상황에 대한 관심으로서의 목회상담을 이야기하는데, 현재 한국적 목회상담은 아직도 매우 개인 중심적이다. 목회상담은 공동체 중심의 움직임이라고 여겨지기보다는 개인의 감정정화와 인식의 전환, 그리고 행동 변화에 중점을 두고 있다. 더 큰 사회와 교회의 조직 안에서 개인이 받을 수밖에 없는 영향에 대해서는 충분히 다뤄지고 있지 않다는 것이다. 또한 종교개혁의 전통 아래 있는 교회와 그 신학에 기반을 둔 목회상담은 항상 개혁적인 목소리를 담당해왔다. 밀러-맥니모어가 “부적절한 신학”이라고 칭하는 의미는, 교회와 신학이 충분히 삶의 현상들을 설명해내지 못했다는 것이라며 주장하기를 그 신학의 빈자리를 채우며 전통과 기존의 견고한 제도에 도전하고 개혁의 목소리를 내온 것이 바로 목회상담이라는 것이다. 목회상담이 지금 이 시대에도 그 역할을 이어갈 것을 이 논문은 주장하고 있다. 이를 위해, 밀러-맥니모어의“살아있는 인간망”의 개념과 의미를 이해하고, 목회상담의 개혁성을 논의하며, 목회상담의 개혁적 목소리 중심에는 목회상담이 갖는 인간이해가 있었음을 주장한다. 목회상담이 개혁의 목소리를 낸다는 것에 대해 다음과 같은 제언을 제시한다. 먼저, 개인심리적인 차원과 사회구조적인 차원을 통합적으로 탐색해야 한다. 개인적인 측면이 우리의 정신적인 건강에 지대한 역할을 하는 것은 사실이지만, 지금까지의 목회상담이 정신역동과 개인중심적인 인간 이해에 집중했기에 구조적인 차원의 문제를 올바르게 이해하지 못하는 실수를 범했다. 다음으로, 권력관계에서 소수에 목소리에 귀 기울여야 한다. 구조 안에서 희생되는 약자에 대해, 그들이 내지 못하는 목소리를 알아차리고 대변할 수 있어야 한다. 마지막으로, 인간과 공동체에 대한 신뢰와 희망이다. 목회상담에서의 개혁적 요소는 항상 그 중심에 인간에 대한 신뢰와 그들이 속한 공동체가 존재했다. 목회상담은 이러한 개혁적 전통을 이어갈 수 있어야 한다. This article deals with doing the performance of pastoral care and counseling in the present context. Through In her keynote speech at the annual conference of the Korean Pastoral Counseling Association in 2017, Bonnie Miller-McLemore presented her concept of the a living human web, reflecting the role of pastoral care and counseling in the context of Korean churches and the society, and on how Korean pastoral care and counseling will should respond. It needs to be thought through as ofWe need to think through what Miller-McLemore is inviting us to consider. Korean pastoral care and counseling is mainly focused mainly on individuals. Rather than having communal focus, pastoral care and counseling is focused on an individual’s emotive, cognitive change, as well as behavioral change. It does not sufficiently emphasize enough the social systems and the church, along with the voices that exists. Pastoral theology has developed under the reformation theology; thus, it contains and shares the reformative perspective. Pastoral care and counseling overall has given voices to those who struggled with their personal and social experiences without a language to use in traditional church and theology to provide. Pastoral care and counseling has been the act of reformation against the traditional church and theology. Therefore, this article argues that this reformative act of pastoral care and counseling be carried on and further developed thorough keeping a balanced search between internal psychology as well asand social systems, listening to the voices of the powerless, and having consistent personal and communal trust.

BTS 현상에 관한 목회상담 연구: 취약함으로 연대하다

This research focuses on the ‘BTS phenomenon’ and its implications for pastoral counseling. Studying BTS as a cultural phenomenon means that this popular culture holds the phenomenon, the process, and the narrative content. To understand the BTS phenomenon, it is also essential to understand the process that led to the current position and the personal, social, and structural messages BTS sends out. Which narrative is reflected in the BTS phenomenon? What kind of cultural content does this narrative contain? What direction it reflects and points to must be understood comprehensively. The BTS phenomenon has overturned the existing Western-centric, large-scale capital power system that used to be central, leading to a top-down cultural approach. This revolutionary subversion made possible by a non- Western Asian boy band achieved its position by challenging the old system through communication and a mutual relationship with their fans, the ARMY. Rather than simply emphasizing the BTS phenomenon, this research will focus on engaging and developing the discourse together with the field of pastoral counseling. Since pastoral counseling presupposes interdisciplinary research, it is likely to have a conversation with the social and global phenomenon of BTS. From a macroscopic point of view, all are impacted by cultural phenomena. And understanding and developing the macroscopic perspective is one of the main tasks of pastoral counseling, so it is necessary to study the intersection of these two fields. Applying the analysis of the BTS phenomenon to pastoral counseling, this research suggests being in assembly with the vulnerable through mutual relationships. Furthermore, it is argued that the reciprocal relationship between the counselor and the client in pastoral counseling comprises the client’s vulnerability and the counselor’s in assembly.
