한 작가의 type를 정하는 작업이란 퍽 위태로운 일이다. 작가 자신으로써도 그가 어떤 type이라 자처하게 되면 자기 사상이나 문학관을 어떤 고정된 pattern에 고수하게 되어 더 이상 작가적 발전의 기회를 상실하게 되는 결과를 자초하게 되거니와 비평가 역시 한 작가의 type을 정하는데도 그의 독단이나 편견이 개입되어 한 작가의 진상(상)을 흐리게 하는 경우가 많기 때문이다.

20세기로 접어들면서 영미시단에는 신시에 대한 새로운 실험과 모색이 전개된다. 예컨대 Georgians, Futurist, Imagists, Vorticists의 신시운동이 그 대표적 예라 하겠다. 에즈라 파운드는 1890년대로부터 세기말에 걸친 영국시의 작풍을 <<조합되지도 않고 잘 다듬어지지도 않은 제3류의 키츠나 워즈워드류의 시였으며 제4류의 엘리자벳조의 설익은 감정의 시>>의 상태였다고 진단한다. 그는 이런 상태를 <<혼돈의 상태>>로 규정하면서 당시의 어슴프레한 시의 기질을 질책한 바 있다. Ford Madox Ford도 당시의 시인의 책무란 <<감상주의>>의 창달이었다고 술회한다. 이와 같은 와중에서 시 본연의 자세를 찾으려고 노력했던 사람이 바로 T.E. Hulme이었다. Hulme은 베르그송의 철학으로부터 <<지성>>과 <<직관>>의 차이를 명확히 구분하는 이론적 근거를 얻게 되었던 바 <<지성>>의 업무가 분석이라면 <<직관>>의 업무란 예술가와 사물 사이에 가로놓여 있는 공간의 장벽을 허물고 예술가로 하여금 어떤 공감작용에 의하여 사물의 깊숙한 곳에 도달케 하는 것이라는 착상을 얻게 된다. 이같은 착상은 결국 시에 있어서 직관의 중요성을 암시하게 된다. 따라서 Hulme은 <<각 이미지는 각기 다른 사물의 질서로부터 차용하는바 그 작용은 우리의 의식을 한 곳으로 집중시켜 어떤 직관을 포착시킨다>>고 역설하였다.

경제안보동맹과 한미사이버안보강화

In the past 20 years, the United States has passed on a lot of information related to national core technology to China due to Chinese industrial espionage. Last year, more than 50 percent of the FBI's cases were China-related. So, as the US government's economic security policy with China continued to strengthen, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), which oversees US intelligence agencies, requested the NIS to create a counter partner department in charge of economic security. So, in early 2022, the National Intelligence Service established the Economic Security Bureau. Korea also realized the importance of global supply chains and economic security while going through the urea solution crisis. The Korean government has formally joined the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEP) to become an economic security ally of the United States. It also joined the semiconductor supply chain alliance, Chip 4. All are measures to strengthen the technological alliance and economic security alliance against China. Along with economic security, the importance of cyber security is highlighted because the targets of cyber attacks behind the state are mainly private companies. The hacking of SolarWinds or Colonial Pipeline by Russian hackers, the theft of the Central Bank of Bangladesh by North Korean hackers, and the WannaCry incidents were cyberattacks against private companies, and the scale of damage was very large. These incidents require economic security and cyber security at the same time. This is because cyber security is related to all fields in the information world connected by networks. In the past few years, the targets of attacks by hackers based in North Korea have mainly been private companies that can profit financially or individuals who trade crypto currencies. Perhaps it is to secure a source of income for developing nuclear missiles in the private sector after UN sanctions. In particular, ransomware attacks on companies and fraudulent e-mails are used to lure victims to remote control sites to steal money or information. In addition, it steals important information by hacking research institutes or companies that handle national core technologies. In the case of a national core technology, the damage is so great that it is difficult to calculate the damage. Cybersecurity is essential to economic security. It is also an area of ​​cyber security to protect the server where the national core technology is stored, prevent hacking from the outside, and prevent information leaked from the inside from being sent to enemy countries. To this end, operations for economic security and cyber security must be carried out simultaneously online and offline. In detail, it means industrial security counterintelligence activities and cyber security countermeasures. South Korea and the United States have contributed to maintaining peace on the Korean Peninsula while maintaining a military alliance for a long time after the Korean War. Now, as an economic security alliance, not just a military alliance, we ask each other to play the necessary roles in protecting and maintaining our common economic interests. This is because without mutual cooperation for economic security, it is difficult to defend against attacks by North Korea, China, and Russia alone, both geopolitical and in cyberspace.

POP 단말기 시스팀 개발에 관한 연구

생산시점 (Point Of Production)에서 생산정보의 발생원 즉, 기계, 설비, 작업자, 작업대상물 (Work) 등으로부터 생산 정보를 Paperless, 실시간(Real Time)으로 수집하는 장치를 POP 단말기라 하며, POP 단말기와 PC(관리용, 제어용)를 RS232, RS422, RS485 등의 네트워크로 구성하여 전생산라인의 정보를 실시간으로 얻을 수 있다. PC는 PC 상호간 또는 공장의 주컴퓨터(Host Computer)와 LAN(Local Area Network)으로 연결하여 공장 전체를 관리한다. 생산정보 및 라인 가동상태를 주컴퓨터에 연결된 단말기를 통하여 수시로 파악함으로써 생산계획의 수립은 물론 공장의 모든 인적, 물적자원의 효율적인 운용을 가능케 해주는 것이 바로 POP의 개념이다. 본고에서는 이러한 POP 개념의 실현을 위해 기계부품 생산라인을 대상으로 한 POP 단말기 시스팀 개발에 관하여 서술하고자 한다.

석탄, 폐타이어, 폴리프로필렌의 공동액화 특성 및 상승효과

본 연구에서는 순간 고온식 tubing-bomb reactor를 사용하여 41$0^{\circ}C$에서 Alaska산 아역청탄, 폐타이어, 폴리프로필렌 혼합물의 공동액화 시 액화특성 및 상승효과를 연구하였다. 석탄, 폐타이어와, 폴리프로필렌의 조성을 변화시키고 수소공여용매인 tetralin의 양을 변화시켜가며 공동액화를 진행했을 경우 공동액화율을 살펴보면, 무촉매 반응의 경우 폴리프로필렌의 양이 많아지면 tetralin이 첨가되지 않았을 경우 액화율이 증가하였으나 tetralin이 첨가되었을 경우 공동액화율이 감소하였다. 촉매 반응의 경우에는 모든 반응조건에서 상승효과가 나타났으며 폴리프로필렌의 양이 증가할수록 공동액화율이 증가하여 석탄 : 폐타이어 : 폴리프로필렌의 조성이 1:1:3에서 tetralin 4$m\ell$, Co-naphthenate 촉매 사용하였을 때가 최적의 반응조건으로 83%의 공동액화율을 나타내었다.

조셉 콘라드의『어둠의 속』연구 : 말로우의 식민주의자적 편견을 중심으로 Focused on Marlow's Colonialistic Bias

Genrally, we acknowledge that Heart of Karkness is the most powerful indictments of colonialism. In 1890 Conrad commanded a river steamer playing among the trading stations set up by the Belgians along the Congo river. On the basis of this experience, Conrad wrote the novel, in which his persona Marlow tells the story. This thesis aims to illustrate Marlow's attitude toward colonialism. Marlow's impressions of colonialism fall into three classes. The first is a direct, straightforward attack. The second is ironic. And the third is to criticize it by using metaphor. However, we can find the tint of colonialist's bias in his thinking. Marlow equates the Congolese customs with the evil and their physical blackness with a spiritual darkness. His feeling that Kurtz became depraved by turning to the forest, the throb of drums, and the drone of weird incantations is just a kind of transference of moral responsibility. It comes out of his bias. Marlow ffeels sorry for the oppressed blacks when he sees them dying from the terrible exploitation, but when he sees them healthy, practising their customs, he feels nothing ut abhorrence and loathing. Such a feeling offers a perfect rationalization for the colonialistic policies. For him, Belgian colonizer is "one of us," but the Congolese becomes "one of them." They must be conquered and put under white man's rule for their own good. Marlow travels upstream with a crew of cannibals. He says he admires them because they do not eat human flesh on board the ship. Thus he admits they possess restraint, but he is not willing to find their human status. If Marlow had been the kind of person who noticed things, he would have seen that cannibals do not eat human flesh so casually and kill so indiscriminately. There is a famous line in the story. It is "Exterminate all the brutes" which Kurtz wrote down at the end of his report. He sent it to the International Society for the Suppression of Savage Customs. Maelow takes the word "brutes" to refer the Africans. Contrarily, Kurtz wanted the colonizers to be removed in achieving the developed country of Congo. To conclude, we do not wish to suggest that Conrad intended his work as a vindication of colonialistic policies or that the story should be removed from the canon of works indicting colonialism. Rather, our purpose has been to illuminate the bias he expressed when he attempted to indict coloialism.
